Looking at the call that was not connected, Hua Meili's face was dark
As someone who had promised the original that she will be good to her brother, being the good sister that she was, she tried to reach out to her so-called brother.
But after calling his stupid phone that might have already been crashed and burned somewhere in this wide world which she hopes would fall from a high building or drown in the ocean for being so stupid and not connecting to her brother for the 100th time!
She called and called but the phone won't f*cking reach!
Sitting on the couch like a queen, Hua Meili frowned as she looks at her phone, more like the name on the screen.
She was so frustrated beyond belief that she almost threw the phone away if not for her almost broken rationality.
Hua Meili was so angry because the "brother" of the original is not answering her phone call, not like she cared but the original does.
It had already been almost a month now since the time that she transmigrated, but that brother of hers could still not be seen anywhere or be contacted.
She tried for the last three weeks but the phone was not even answered once.
Hua Meili was not only angered and frustrated by this but also because the Apocalypse is almost coming, and the countdown is fast ticking by.

After the many ups and downs of her new life which was about to be chaotic when the Apocalypse arrives, she can now only wait for the countdown to fall to zero and wait for the destruction of the world.
Thankfully, she had already prepared all the necessary things that she will need, prepare all the things that "they" will need for survival.
Because of wanting to survive the upcoming Apocalypse, during these past few weeks, all the thoughts inside her head are "Yaoi" er, how to survive the upcoming Apocalypse.
She had read so many Apocalypse-themed novels and manga, just by this, the Apocalypse would be so hard to deal with.
Not only the Mutants, the mutated animals, and Mother Nature will be their enemy but the whole world.
She had already thought things through and now the only thing missing in the part of her plan is the original's brother who was still MIA!
'Where in the world is this f*cker hiding into?! If you were only not this body's brother, I won't even bother with you but you are so I must make you come back home alive but your phone could not be reached. F*ck you! Go die and be eaten by zombies then, I don't care!'
But even so, even after cursing too much, she called the number for the last time before shutting her phone, and the answer was still the same.
Massaging her forehead, Hua Meili look at the two people in front of her who were feeding her dog food all day.
"Zhong ge, Cheng ge, have all the maids, guards, and butlers left?" Hua Meili asked the two people sitting in front of her while putting her phone down.
"Yes. They already left for vacation. I put some bonuses in their paycheck just as you had told me before and I also told them to come back to work 3 days from now."
Zhongcheng Qingren reported curious as to why Hua Meili gave all the employees a vacation except the two of them.
"Xiao Mei, why did you give all of them a vacation and also the guards? There's not enough manpower left." Guo Zhongcheng curiously asked.
At first, when they heard about her idea of giving the servants and guards some vacation they were against it.
The manor is too big and there are many thieves, what would happen if they encounter people they can't fight off?
But after some persuasion, Hua Meili still persuaded the two of them to give the servants and guards some vacation though hesitant.
It's just 3 days anyway.
But the reason why Hua Meili gave them a vacation is not purely because of wanting them to go see their loved ones for the last time before the world ended, it is because of her selfishness.
As a book wearer, she knew only a few of the humans will successfully evolve and the rest would either be ordinary humans or become Zombies.
Knowing about what will happen during the evolution process, she can't have so many people in her Manor.
What if they all turn into zombies? Can she a Phase 1 fight all of them off?
The servants along with the guards could be counted at least with 10 hands!
So, than to gamble who will survive and who will turn, she can only send them all away.
Anyways, she does not want to be responsible for them.
She does not even know them and some don't like her, some are just too troublesome!
Humans are selfish and she is proud to be one!
Only by being selfish and protecting your own self will she be able to survive in this Zombie infested world!
Letting Gou Zhongcheng and Zhongcheng Qingren stay is another matter of course.
She let the two stay because she likes them and surely, both people are loyal individuals who cherish friendship and repay kindness with kindness.
She also knew that letting the two people stay is not only because she likes them but also because they had some use.
Yes, she had some hidden motives for the two but this won't affect them in any way anyway, they are still friends.
Also, since they are all under her wing, she will surely protect them both in the future.
"I just want to give them a vacation to enjoy... since it will be their last."
Hua Meili whispered, she looked at the blue sky above with sad eyes. She was sad about what was about to happen.
That night, Hua Meili told Du Hexi and Mu Hexin to lock all the gates, doors, and windows and to guard the house from night till morning.
If they were to not wake up in time and some zombies trespassed, kill!
If some of them turned into a zombie, kill!
Hua Meili also told, Zhongcheng Qingren and Guo Zhongcheng to sleep in different rooms for the night, lock their doors, and never go out during the night.
They can only go out when it is already daytime and the sun is up in the sky.
She knew that her orders made them confused but this is for their own good.
After seeing the two entering separate rooms, she made Du Hexi and Mu Hexin watch the two of them if they dare to disobey her order.
"Master, will you be alright?"
Before Hua Meili could completely close her door, Du Hexi appeared in front of her door.
She looks at him from the half-opened door.
"Don't worry, I'm your Master, I'm going to be fine."
[Apocalypse Has Officially Started!]
Hua Meili finally heard the System Announcement, announcing the start of the Apocalypse before sleep took over her.
The night was cold and the world unforgiving, for this world will start the birth of something horrifying that will create chaos and disorder within the world.
And the time for creating starts now!
Hua Meili could feel a very cold sensation crawling up her skin from her feet and running up towards her upper body.
After the cold sensation had settled down within all parts of her body, there was a painful effect left by the cold thing that swept her body.
She could feel her entire body burning like she was being burned alive at a stake.
She keeps on turning on her bed as she moaned in pain in her sleep, the torture was so painful and "real".
Hua Meili could feel that she was sweating a lot and the painful sensation was getting worst and worst as time passed by.
She can only grit her teeth as she endured the pain.
Even when asleep, Hua Meili's consciousness that fell into the abyss called sleep became as sharp as a knife when she felt the changes occurring within her body.
Grabbing the sheets tight in her hands, she gritted her teeth in pain as she endured the overwhelming pain she was feeling.
She thought that she was already bleeding from her hands, her nails kept digging into her palm as she tightly clenches her fist.
The hours tick by, seconds become minutes and minutes become hours.
The torture was never ending and painful as the evolution and the changes in her body were taking place.
If only she can see what was happening in her body right now, she will surely be surprised.
Gold and silver lights were glowing all around her, her hair was levitating in the air as her black hair slowly turned silver with a hint of gold.
Her pale skin became even paler, her pink lips became reddish and her cheeks had a natural blush on them.
Her appearance at that moment paired with the light surrounding her body made her look like a Goddess that was sleeping, she was so enchanting and otherworldly.

XiaoXiao who was watching the changes taking place in Hua Meili prayed as it watched the scene in front of it.
XiaoXiao had been watching since the start, it really thought that Hua Meili won't be able to take the pain and die in the process.
If that really happened then it would become Hostless and will be sent back to the System space to wait for another Host.
But what saddened it the most is the thought of being separated from Hua Meili which had been quite attached to it because of being its first Host.
Looking at Hua Meili, XiaoXiao with its invisible body hovered above her as it looks at her full of worry.
It then landed on her chest as it look at her face which was filled with pain, XiaoXiao cheered her on as it watch the "magic" happen.
"Ahhhhhh!!!" Hua Meili screamed in pain in her sleep.
The hell of a torture that Hua Meili was experiencing continued on for a very long time that it seemed eternal and never-ending on her part.
The painful torture made her think to just give up and rest there and then to stop this torture.
But if she gives up there now, she would only waste all the preparations she prepared for the Apocalypse and her efforts of Leveling will all go to waste.
That's why, she must not fall here, she must survive!

The torturous heat continued until the heat cooled down, the heat was replaced with a cool feeling and she could feel that her whole body is calming down.
Also, she could feel some surging power and strength rise within her. She does not know what it is but what she knows is that it is changing something within her and also giving her powers at the same time.
At the same time, the light that was surrounding her slowly faded away and then disappeared completely without a trace.
Lying on her bed full of sweat, she stayed there still until she could feel that she could now wake up from her deep slumber.
Opening her eyes, a strength that she had never imagined before began to surge around her as it explodes giving her the feeling of being reborn anew.
