Upon descending, the two kept on laughing while heading downstairs which made the others look somewhat surprised when they saw the two of them laughing.
They were not surprised because Meii was laughing but because Jin Hua was laughing. They never saw that stoic man laughing so carefreely like this before.
"I had never seen him laugh like that before..." Hua Meili heard a voice say.
She smirks secretly inside knowing who the person who said such words.
They slowly walk towards the table and sat down still talking to each other, they had so many things to talk about that their chat about life seemed to never end.
The mood was very harmonious between the two and the others look at them with warm smiles.
They did not dare interrupt the catching up between the two siblings, they deserve this at least for not being able to see each other for a long time.
Surely, they have so much to catch up on.
When somehow, a certain someone just had to break the unspoken rule amongst them and interrupt the two siblings.

The two siblings stop talking and look at a certain someone who had coughed so loudly that it seemed like they were about to also cough their lungs out!
Jin Hua furrowed his eyebrows as his warm eyes and gentle smile immediately turned frozen sending chills down everyone's spine. He looked at the culprit coldly like a hunter eyeing its prey.
Hua Meili, on the other hand, was still smiling amicably but upon closer inspection, a cold glint flash past her eyes that no one seemed to notice.
She looked at the insect who dared to interrupt such a heartwarming reunion with a very 'warm' smile.
"Pian, did you catch a cold?"
Hua Meili feigned innocence even though she already knew what the other wanted.
"Uhm.. No, my throat just itched a bit back there haha..." Lian Pian said embarrassed.
She laughed nervously knowing that all the attention was on her.
She did not know what made her do that but seeing such a harmonious atmosphere earlier made her mind go blank and made her do some idiotic actions.
"Is that so? Eh? Why are you all not eating yet? Don't be shy and please have your fill." Hua Meili generously said acting like a real Host entertaining her guests.
She stops caring about Lian Pian and focuses on others.
An insignificant insect is not worth her attention anyway.
They just look at each other and then silently started eating, they did not dare to eat first knowing that the host of the party still did not give them permission.
In the Apocalypse, even if the food is already right in front of them, one must not eat it no matter how delicious it is if the host or the owner did not give the signal for them to do so.
That is one of the rules that they had learned during the Apocalypse the hard way.
Jin Hua and Hua Meili talked while eating and were still talking even after they finish eating.
They went back to her room and continue talking like they have endless words to say to each other.
They just talk and talk, and even though Jin Hua was not her 'real' brother she somehow finds him likable seeing how many of their interest coincides.
It was getting rather late and the two were still talking Hua Meili didn't know when she fell asleep.
The next morning, she woke up rather early feeling somewhat suffocated.
If she did not know better she might have thought that someone was strangling her.
Opening her eyes to see just who is responsible for this, bright light assaulted her eyes making her close them again.
She tried opening her eyes again, and after successfully opening her eyes she was met by Jin Hua's handsome face.
"Why is he sleeping here?" Hua Meili whispered to herself seeing his handsome brother's sleeping face.
Jin Hua at the moment was hugging her waist tightly and would not budge an inch as she tried pushing him away with little strength since, if she used her Phase 2 strength, she is sure that he will fly very far away and get injured.
We don't want that right?
Jin Hua slept like a log, that she is sure.
He won't even wake up even if a missile shot him down now.
He must be very tired and has not yet recovered from all the stress that he has been through seeing him sleep so deeply.
Knowing that struggling is futile, she stop struggling in his embrace and just waited for him to wake up on his own.
She stared at his handsome face bored.
Being this close to him, she noticed that Jin Hua have a really nice face and could not help but appreciate the piece of art.
Such a handsome face!
He must have been present and the first in line when God rained down handsomeness in the world.
Hua Meili could not help tracing his face because of boredom and fascination with this handsome specimen.
She traced his eyebrows, his eyes, his nose, and his jawline and ....
"Gege, I know you are awake. Do let go of me already."
Pinching his cheeks hard, his eyes quickly fluttered open.
His eyes were wide and tearing up feeling the pain in his cheeks that was being brutally abused by her.
He held her hand that was pinching his cheeks and beg for her to let go, but his other hand was still shamelessly holding her waist.
"Mei, please stop pinching your brother's face it would only hurt your hand."
Jin Hua shamelessly smiled that only made her pinch his cheeks harder
"O-ouch.."
"Don't worry Jin ge because I have enough strength to pinch your cheeks without hurting my hand."
Hua Meili smirk darkly.
She used more strength to pinch his face so he would stop being so shameless in the future.
"P-Please let go...."
Jin Hua pouted feeling wronged.
While she laughed on the inside seeing how childish his brother could be.
"Let go of your hand first." Hua Meili demanded.
Looking at her face, he reluctantly let her go.
Feeling his hands no longer on her waist, she also let his cheeks go but then the sneaky bastard lock her up inside his arms again not letting go!
"Hey, let go!" Hua Meili struggled.
She glared at him as she tried pushing him away but the b*stard was like a leech. He was so sticky and hard to remove.
"Mei, do accompany brother to sleep. Okay? Let's sleep some more." Jin Hua said as closed his eyes and snuggled his face close to her hair.
"Sneaky bastard, fine!"
Since she can't struggle and she also doesn't want to hurt him if she uses her inhuman strength, she stops struggling and just snuggles to him closer getting some sleep.
