Vampires Vs Hunters

The police patrol car suddenly stops when a man rushes to its front. The police officers step out of the car to check on the man who's scared to death. A few steps away from him, a vampire grips his neck and buries its fangs deeply. The poor guy suddenly turns to ashes and vanishes with the gust of wind that very night.

"Oh crap! We've got company!" Both of them aim their guns at the berserk vampire in front of them. They shoot him with all their bullets, but the vampire doesn't even feel any pain. Instead, it goes even more berserk and is about to attack them. Carolina and Diego were following the car after seeing vampires tailing it while patrolling. Before it can get any closer to the policemen, Carolina jumps out from behind and aims her magnum, loaded with silver bullets, into its heart. One shot and it turns into ashes. Diego rushes in to secure their safety from the backside, shooting at more incoming enemies.

"Officers, are you both alright?" Carolina asks without looking.

"Y-Yes, thanks a lot for coming right on time."

"We thought we were dead meat."

"You're not going to be dead meat when it bites you. You'll turn to ashes just like that poor guy." Diego kicks the vampire who manages to get close, then tackles it down, shooting its heart.

"Who are you guys?"

"Us? We're vampire hunters." Carolina winks at them as she chases the escaping bunch of vampires.

"Get back to your car and find a safe place. We'll handle it from here." Diego follows Carolina.

Tyler and Ara walk around the corner of an empty street. Not a few meters away, they see disco lights from an open backyard.

"Seems like someone's having a party despite the danger lurking in the night." Tyler chuckles.

"Hope they're unharmed." Ara walks beside Tyler, and both head to the partying people. But to their surprise, it's not humans who are partying but Timothy and Stacy with some first-gen vampires feasting on the screaming people. Two people survive and run towards them. At first, they hesitate to take a step closer because they can only see their figures from the dark street, but the vampires are chasing after them.

"What should we do? We're so done!" a girl sobs in fear.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you." Tyler steps a bit closer to the street lamp so they can see his face.

"Please hurry to our side, the vampires are getting closer." Ara stands beside Tyler.

"This night is crazy. First vampires, and now I'm seeing Tyler Johanssen and Ara Khalil in flesh."

"Hey, stop fan-girling. We need to save our lives first." The guy grabs her by the hand and runs towards Tyler and Ara's side.

"Ara, let Li and Slacovich know about our situation. Having Timothy and Stacy in this bunch is going to be tough."

"Okay, I'm on it." Ara contacts Li and tells her their situation. The latter responds that she will head for their location after they clean up the area they're in.

"How's it been these days, my sweet Ara?" Timothy stops the rampaging vampires and orders them to calm down.

"Oh my, how lucky you are to be titled the Charming Sweetheart in the entertainment circle. I hate you even more now." Stacy clings to Timothy's arms, giggling.

"I thought the two of you were dead." Ara's fierce eyes give chills to the survivors.

"It takes more than that to kill us. As for you and your lover, this night marks the end of your reign!" Stacy, with lightning speed, grabs Ara's arms and throws her to the ground, but with her fast reflexes, Ara manages to land on her feet and bolts right back to Stacy. Stacy blocks Ara's punches, but Ara continues to attack. She fakes a punch and attacks with a forceful kill, sending Stacy to the far end of the street, landing on her back with the impact. Ara picks up her pistols and aims them at the vampires around them.

"Tyler, I'll lure Stacy away from here. As for the two, Li and Slacovich are on their way here."

"No, we should stick together. I'm not letting you fight her alone."

"We've got a lot of enemies at the moment. Protecting them while attacking will be difficult for us. It's better if we separate the others to buy more time for Li and Slacovich."

"You're right. I'm sorry if I'm so protective of you. I just don't want you getting hurt."

"I know. You don't have to worry about me. For all you know, we share the same thing in our blood." She kisses Tyler lovingly before going after Stacy. On her way, she shoots at the chasing vampires as well.

"Letting your girl fight alone? How weak are you, Tyler?" Timothy calmly leans on the wall as he watches Ara leave the area.

"Ara can handle her. She's equally as strong as me. You don't have to show your affection towards her when I'm around. It disgusts me." Tyler gives both survivors a gun each. "You aim for the heart and don't waste any bullets. Shoot only when it's an obvious hit."

"Copy. Good thing I know how to aim. Playing airsoft finally makes an advantage in this situation." The guy checks the magazine and puts it back.

"You can have my gun then. I don't know how to use it." The girl hands her gun over to the guy when a vampire rushes toward their side, ready to bite. The guy then pushes the girl to the side and shoots the vampire straight in the heart.

"Nice shot. Then I'll leave her to your care. I need to settle things with this guy." He glares at Timothy.

"So scary. Bring it on. But just so you know, I'm not the same guy you beat last time."

"I'll still beat you up even if you're tenfold stronger than last time." He grins, provoking Timothy. Tyler dodges every attack Timothy gives him. When he finds an opening, he gives him a straight punch into his stomach.

"Nice punch, but not good enough."

"I see. You're tougher than before, and that makes Stacy even faster than last time, right?"

"I won't answer your questions when obviously you know the answer all along." Timothy launches punches again, and this time he successfully hits Tyler's face. From one punch, all Timothy's punches land on Tyler. He's being beaten up by Timothy, but Tyler just chuckles as he spits out blood. Timothy launches a brute punch, but Tyler stops it with one hand and slowly stands straight up, gripping Timothy's fist even tighter.

"Are you satisfied now that you're able to hit me? Is that all there is for you to boast about to me? How pathetic!" Tyler pulls him forward and gives him repeated knee kicks, not even letting him go. Timothy struggles and grabs Tyler's shoulder before giving him a headbutt. Tyler lets him go by kicking him up and catches the kick again mid-air, slamming Timothy to the ground.

"You're just letting me beat you up!"

"Now you noticed. I already have what I needed. Now I can end your misery."

"What did you do?"

"Your impatience gave me an opening, making you stop thinking with caution. I secretly extract your blood every time you hit me. You didn't even notice it when you were so furious. Thanks to your blood, we're going to have leads on Volton's recreated serum."

"You fool! President Hellgazer won't let you off!"

"You won't be able to see him anyway." Tyler pushes him to the ground before shooting him right in the heart. The surviving guy is pretty good at shooting his target. They're all perfectly aimed at the vampire's heart.

"Mr. Tyler, are you okay?" the girl asks, worrying.

"Yeah, I'm fine. They're just bruises; they will heal up eventually. By the way, you're so good at using a gun. What's your name?"

"I'm Carl. Me and my friends back there at the party celebrated our victory in the airsoft competition this morning. I didn't know it would all end up this way. It's just me and Hilda that survive." Tyler gives them both his calling card.

"What's this for?" Hilda asks.

"If you want to save your family and loved ones from these vampires, call me."

"Are you recruiting us to be hunters?" Carl is a bit confused yet very interested.

"Let's discuss the details when you're sure about it. Our enemy has an army of those vile creatures. Humans will have no match for them. If you think you can help secure the safety of everyone, then we need some help."

"I never thought that someone famous like you and Ara are taking night jobs as hunters to protect us." Hilda sighs in relief.

"Tyler's right. We need an army of our own to fight back those creatures." Slacovich's voice startles both Carl and Hilda.

"Slacovich, be more sensitive, will you? They've been scared enough already for you to startle them like that." Li smiles at them.

"Omg! The President of Demonfire Group of Companies! What an absolutely crazy night." Hilda can't believe she's looking at the faces of the most well-known family in the country.

"We're just nobodies. Don't get too excited." Li giggles.

"Well, if someone with such a background protects the city at night as hunters, I, as a citizen, should also lend a hand. I can assure you I'm capable of protecting others if you just let me help you." Carl's determination fills the atmosphere, which makes Slacovich glad.

"Do you have a job?"

"Currently a senior high student at Sun University."

"Who owns that university?"

"Actually, this year will be the last time it will cater to students. The university will be forced to shut down due to land ownership. The landowner wants to destroy the university and build a mall instead." Hilda feels sad.

"Li, go through all the details of the landowner and the university's board of directors. We can't let our future hunters be out of school, right?" Tyler and Li smile at both of them.

"Consider it done." Both Carl and Hilda's faces brighten up with glee.

"For now, I'll take both of you back to your homes." Li escorts them to Carl's car while Tyler and Slacovich watch them leave.

"Slacovich, Ara might need our help. She lured more than half of the vampires here as she chased Stacy. I'm worried she might be hurt."

"I am worried as you are, but we should believe in her abilities. She's not just the little girl who only talks with you back at the facility. At least put some faith in her."

"I trust her and I know she'll be fine. I just want to make sure."

"Well then, let's go. Let's inform the others on the way. All of us search for Ara to be able to locate her immediately." Both of them rush to the direction where Ara fled to chase Stacy. A new light of hope has been discovered. Hunters will protect the city from the raging vampires that lurk during nighttime.
