Humanity
After the duel with Dane, Leo and Adela started their walk around town. Adela was super energetic as they walked around town. Her admiration for Leo had doubled because of the duel. She thought she already knew how strong Leo was, but the duel proved how mistaken she was. Leo's strength was beyond her imagination.
She was enamored by his strength and ability. Every time she saw Leo's swordsmanship her heart would beat wildly. She did not understand it, all she knew was that she wanted to learn and understand Leo and his swordsmanship.
They entered shop after shop, with smiling faces. She wasn't even paying much attention to what the people were saying. All she could feel and do was be entranced by the fact the Leo was with her.
On the other hand in the corner of the streets Dane and his men were following. He emitted a strong aura to kill and of course Leo noticed it but simply dismissed it. Dane couldn't do anything to him even if he tried so why bother with him following.
Then Adela's stomach growled, which made her blush furiously. Leo looked at Adela fondly and asked if she knew a good place to eat. They headed to a nearby inn and bought many different kinds of sweets.
While waiting they were given some tea, Leo and Adela took a sip. When Leo swallowed the liquid he felt a sudden change in his body's functions. He was poisoned?! Damn Adela! Leo looked at Adela who was now unconscious. Even Leo's own consciousness was beginning to fade. The last thing he saw before he faded into dreams was a man apologizing to a waitress.

'Damn how could I have fallen to such a lame trick such as poison!'
Leo was trying to move his body but couldn't. Though his mind was already working his body wasn't responding. 'Shit! And I was with Adela too.'
'Was she their target? Wait actually why am I still alive to think about this. The protection of serenity hasn't return to me yet. Damn I haven't done this in a while but I got no other choice. I need to drive away the poison with the use of my inner energy.'
'First I need to locate where the poison entered, it was probably in the tea. So it entered via the mouth, so how far has it spread hmm... My body's natural resistance has started to drive it out but it's too slow. I need to quicken the process, first to direct the flow of my inner energy to the most affected parts.'
'The hand and upper abdomen, so this is where I' m mostly affected.' Leo started to control his breathing and after a while his body that he couldn't move was slowly recovering. 'So now I need to open my eyes.' Before Leo could open his eyes he felt a presence near him.
It didn't enter his field suddenly it was there the whole time. He just couldn't notice it due to the circumstances. 'So someone was watching me from the beginning.' "Hey I know you can move now. So why don't you open your eyes?" The voice of an excited man could be heard.
Leo slowly opened his eyes, in front of him was a person with messy light green hair and a face that showed that he hasn't sleep for days, the guy was staring right at him. "Hahaha a record of 5 hours before waking. That's incredible! The poison I used on you, was supposed to render an aged fire dragon paralyzed for a whole day!"
The man with messy hair looked at Leo amused. "So who the hell are you? Before speaking so many useless things at least tell me your name." Leo retorted calmly even in such a situation.
"Hahaha your weird, you're really weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, weird, but I like it! The name's Albert Wolfstein the pleasure is all yours. HAHAHAHA."
"The name's Leonard." Even in such a weird situation Leo replied properly. "So what do you want from me Albert, and what have you done with Adela?"
"Oh Adela wingled the swordian?... Well nothing has happened to her, she's just in the other room asleep. I'll play with her later, since I'm way more interested in you."
'Swordian? What's that? Better think about it later at least Adela's safe for now. So this freak is interested in me. If I slash at him now with my swords I won't be able to reach. Wait a minute I'm not bound, and I still have my swords, what is this idiot thinking? '
"HAHAHA Leo, It so easy to tell what you're thinking. Why didn't he bind me, and take my weapons? The question is clearly written on your face. So allow me to answer, there was no need. This table's length is exactly two millimeters longer than your sword, and if you charge at me I could easily run for the exit behind me and escape before you can even stand. Not to mention this is my place don't you think I have traps set. Hahaha" This guy really is prepared.
"So now that you have me in a stalemate what do you plan to do?" Leo asked "Why don't we have a conversation then Leo. What do you think of humanity?" Albert suddenly asked a question out of nowhere. The flow of this conversation was getting weird for Leo, but still he responded.
"Humanity what I think about it?... Well its humanity." "No I meant what do you think of humanities standing here in this world full of different races?"
"Well I don't really know? I haven't seen most of the other races ye,t to say anything concrete."
"Well I think humanity is weak and if war breaks out against the other races I believe that humanity will be the first to break. There is no hope for the current humanity to win against the other races." Albert spoke with a smile on his face.
"So what do you plan to do?" Leo inquired "If the current humanity is weak then the solution is simple isn't it? Just make humanity strong." Leo looked at Albert shocked at his proposal. If it were really as simple as that, humanity should have become stronger a long time ago.
"How do you plan to make humanity strong?" Albert looked at Leo like a lion looking at a soon to be meal. "Well at first I thought to change all of humanity into swordians the other side of human evolution." 'There he used the word again swordian.' Leo was very interested in learning what a swordian was.
"But I changed my mind that would be insufficient. So I planned to modify every human being into things like my dolls." Albert clapped his hands, and a dozen of black robed men appeared.
'These are the assassins that were trying to capture Adela. So their dolls that's why I couldn't feel a presence from them.' Leo had finally understood what happened back then.
"This dolls are much better than humans don't you think so?"
"So you plan to make humans into something like this?" "Yes, don't you see, no matter how hard I tried and thought about it, I came to the conclusion that there was no way to make humans strong? Even if I modified their bodies there will always be a limit. The human body was created as such. So I thought why not simply remove what made humans weak, and what made them weak was being human! So what do you think of my plan? Brilliant right!"
Leo looked at Albert with eyes of scorn. His intent to kill was on a rise "So your plan for saving humanity is changing it into something not human anymore! F*ck you, and you're messed up plan! In the first place who gave you the right to judge humanity as weak! You! Can you even dare call yourself human! Don't underestimate humanity!" Leo's anger was at its peak as he charged at Albert. But before he could get close his body stopped moving as if an invisible wall was between him and Albert.
"So not even you could understand the greatness of my plan." Albert looked at Leo full of disappointment. "Don't underestimate humanity? Humans are not weak? Well I guess you as a human certainly aren't weak but can the same be said for everyone else? The only reason you can say such things is because you yourself are strong." Albert flicked his right index finger upward, and both Leo's hands started to raise. Leo strengthened his eyes using his inner energy and finally saw it, the whole room was full of wires and all of them where connected to Albert. "Well I guess this ends our talk...." Before Albert could continue speaking the wires restraining Leo were cut.
"Heh! So you plan to resist very well let's play Leo!"
