Retaliate

"Fuck off."

As Skye said those words, the water faucet near his table exploded and water gushed out straight towards Jessica's face.

Skye was shock at what happened. He looked at the now drenched Jessica, then to the sink, then towards Jessica again. He started laughing after looking at her. His expression turns 180 degrees. He's laughing while holding his stomach. His earlier melancholy and annoyance seems to have vanished completely.

As for Jessica though, time seemed to stop for her. While Skye was laughing, she was just standing there with a dumbfounded expression. She's like a loading page in a browser with a bad internet connection.

Skye's laughter continued for so long and it became louder every second almost everyone in the cafeteria can hear him. Most student inside the cafeteria eating their lunch was distracted and started looking towards his direction. Noticing what has happening, the students started laughing too. Only by then Jessica had woken up from her daze and hastily put her hands up at her face to block the water which seems useless since it still passed through between her fingers.

Realizing that her efforts were futile, Jessica decided to run away. As she was about to exit, she turns towards Skye and shouted even.

"Skye I hate you!"

Skye was momentarily shocked, but then he laughed harder than before. He didn't mind what Jessica was shouting about. He continued laughing for some time then he started eating again.

After eating he went to directly to his classroom. The rooms for the third years are on the second floor, it only took him some moments to reach it. He was a bit early, so the teacher has not arrived yet. As he was about to sit down, his classmate who he often plays computer games with talked to him.

"Hey bro, I've heard about what happened in the cafeteria. It's hilarious." Said the guy then started laughing.

"I know, haha. She looks stupid since her make-up was destroyed, it seems as if she was crying black tears." Skye answered back and started laughing too.

Some guys decided to join in the conversation and all of them started laughing.

"I've heard that she's now dating the captain of the basketball team, and the student council vice-president secretly before you. It's a good thing that you've broken up early, who would've thought that she's a slut." One of his classmate said.

"You're right. If I did not coincidentally pass through her friends talking about their game, it would have been too late. Good thing I have not fallen too deeply." Skye answered back.

Before Skye and Jessica became a couple, he was just like anyone else. Although Skye is handsome, like strikingly handsome, there was not many girls he was close to due to the fact that he lived his life living with his grandfather and their frequent visitor, his uncle Tom and his son Dustin. They only ended up with each other since Jessica courted him and is persistent about it. He started to like Jessica in the process due to her angelic appearance and attitude, which was actually just a mask. Times passed after their relationship, Skye heard from two of Jessica's friend that he was actually just a bet and is considered a trophy for Jessica. After that, Skye confronted Jessica about it and they broke up.

'Seems like the basketball guy is her next target.' Skye thought to himself.

While Skye was deep in thought, their homeroom teacher entered the room and went to the podium. Skye was awoken from his thoughts when he heard his teacher speak.

"Good afternoon everyone. There will be no class this afternoon due to the event that will be held tomorrow. Everyone is tasked to clean their own respective classroom so that our school will not be humiliated to the visitors."

After that, the teacher went towards her own desk at the back of the room and started cleaning. The students followed suit and started cleaning to. Their chair, floor, windows and the blackboard. Most took their task seriously while others are playing. (Note: Public high schools do this. Trust me, I've done this before.)

Skye started cleaning too. As he was getting into it, one curious student spoke up.

"Ma'am, who's actually the visitor?"

"Hmm? Did I not tell you? It was the Farra Empire Corporation."

The moment the teacher said that, everyone in the classroom stopped and looked at her, and then some screamed.

"Farra Empire!? That Farra Empire!?"

If someone doesn't know the topic of their conversation, that person would think that they are stupid since they were speaking incoherently, repeating the word Farra. But who would blame them, since almost every student in the school were the same as them. After all, Farra Empire Company is famous for their technological discoveries and is the only supplier of virtual reality devices with 95% reality synchronization.

Everyone was excited for tomorrow to come except one person, Skye.

'Seems like the board is impatient. Whatever, their flattery won't get them nowhere.' Skye thought to himself.

The whole afternoon was dedicated to cleaning the school. After their classroom, the students cleaned the garden that their section is responsible of. Some sections even redecorated their room. All of it was just for a one-day visit.

After Skye was done, he decided to go back to the hospital. As he was nearing the gate, two guys in a jersey walks towards him with a somewhat hostile look. One of them put his arms around his shoulders and started pulling him towards the gym.

"Follow us or you'll get hurt." Said the other guy.

Skye did not fight back. He did not even shrug off the other guy. He just allowed himself to be pulled silently. His face shows indifference but his eyes shows impatience.

As the three of them entered the gym, Skye noticed that there are 13 more people inside. One of them was Jessica. He knew she was the one behind all of this since the basketball captain is now her dog.

Seeing the indifferent look in Skye's face, the captain was annoyed and hissed at him.

"Hey brat, Jessica said you've been bothering her. You better scram away before I make you."

"That's impossible. She's the one that's been bothering me." Answered Skye as he released a small smile.

"Are you crazy? Why would I be bothering you?" Said Jessica, looking at Skye like he's gone mental.

"That's right. Why would she. You guys are over. She belongs to me now. You fuck off as far as possible."

"You do your own stuff, I'm not in the mood to play with you." Skye decided to leave. In the end it was just some stupid talk.

"Wait, I'm not finish with you yet!" The captain shouted at Skye, but he did not look back as he keeps on walking.

Feeling humiliated, the captain pointed towards two of his teammates and ordered him to follow Skye.

"Beat him up and bring him here."

"But were on school grounds. Won't we be in trouble?"

"Don't worry. Remember that my father is the mayor. Nothing will happen to us."

"All right. If you say so."

The two of them then followed Skye. One of them was about to punch him in the head but he moved his head sideways, barely dodging the blow.

Skye then looked back, now annoyance was plastered on his face. He grabbed the arm of the guy that punched him and deliver his own blow towards that guy's stomach. After that he reach his left hand towards the other guy head and punch him too in the gut. The two of them started rolling on the ground while hugging the place that Skye had punched.

Skye then coldly gazed towards the captain.

"Now you've pissed me off."
