"I'm glad you came here earlier than the rest. I had a great time having breakfast with you," Cathy smiled.

"Can you tell me how Ed was at school?"

Dale does not know what to answer so instead she said, "We're not really that close so I can't really tell."

"Was he unfriendly?"

"No Ma'am, it's actually me who is unfriendly."

Cathy was confused to hear this since she really enjoyed her time taking to Dale so she don't think that Dale is unfriendly at all.

"Were you having a hard time at school?"

Cathy can see that Dale is having a hard time deciding if she will confide with her or not but before Dale could decide, Ed joined them ad started to eat as well.

"Good morning Dale, you're so early today," Ed greeted cheerfully.

"I-I'm just an early riser," Dale hated her stuttering.

"Hmm, this is delicious. I never thought you knew how to bake Mom," Ed ate the coffee cake enthusiastically.

"Actually it's Dale who baked that."

"Really? It's good." Dale just blushed as a reply.

Cathy can observed that Ed and Dale don't know how to interact with each other so thinking that they might just be shy because she is in the same room with them she then decided to leave and give them time by themselves.

"Do you want me to refill your coffee?" Dale offered.

"Yes please," Ed used his most charming smile.

"Dale do you really hate spending time with me?" Ed can't help himself from asking.

"Of course not! I just don't know what to talk with you."

"Well you can start by telling me anything about you," Ed really wanted to know more about her.

"There is really nothing great to tell. I might just bore you to death."

So since Ed realized that Dale is not really willing to share anything about her, he just decided to talk about him instead.
