Jiao Family

He wants to play with the other, just like the other played with him.

He won't break all ties with him yet, instead he'll remain casual and won't give away the fact he knows the truth and slowly ruin Jin Heng.

The upcoming project Jin Heng mentioned is a similar to a competition.

Throughout the past three years of using Bai Chang's designs, Jin Heng has amassed a certain amount of fame and influence in the fashion circle. This fame allowed him to become aware of an important upcoming competition a few weeks before the news was officially announced to the public.

One of the country's biggest and most influential designers is organizing the event. The idea behind it is to bring up-and-coming designers with a lot of potential and talent together to compete, the winner has the chance to work with this designer and learn from them for a short period of time. If the work meets a certain standard it may even be used for an internationally huge fashion show/catwalk and listed as a joint collaboration.

Winning the competition itself would already bring one much more fame and bring a person further into the public eye- famous everywhere in the country, but if their work was to enter the international stage in a show as huge as this one they would become very close to the peak in the fashion world and known world wide.

In addition to these benefit's the winner would also meet various people and may even gain some connections. If they were to participate in the international show, they would come in contact with many famous and successful models, make-up artists, hair dressers, photographers and many other talents in various fields involved with the fashion industry.

Bai Chang's plan involved this competition. He would irritate Jin Heng to the point the other would hate even the sight of him but know he can't fire the other no matter how much he wishes because of how indispensable he is to even coming close to winning.

Bai Chang would also make sure the other would lose while completely humiliating himself in the process. Make him unable to stand up in the fashion industry ever again. Though to be honest Jin Heng wouldn't have gotten far anyway with his skills and ability.

"Ah, Boss Jin I was stuck in traffic, I really couldn't get here any faster" Bai Chang shrugged.

"Oh well, I guess it can't be helped just remember to take things like these into account next time" Jin Heng acted like it wasn't him who called Bai Chang in even though he wasn't supposed to be working today.

"Ah yes, Bai Chang I need some new designs drawn up, the event I mentioned last time has been confirmed. The main theme is light, you know the importance of this event so make sure to do your best and try harder than usual. I really do feel bad about using you like this but I really need the money to help find your brother. I'm sure the private investigator is really close to finding him now." Jin Heng didn't forget to mention Bai Chang's brother, as both a threat and as if to remind him he needs his, Jin Heng's help if he ever wants to see his brother, Bai An again.

"I don't know, it's been so long already maybe he doesn't want to be found or something happened to him. Maybe we should just give up and go our separate ways" Bai Chang said trying not to show the sadness in his eyes when he mentioned his brother so as to not give anything away.

"Ah Chang, what do you mean, how could that be, you can't give up. Bai An is your brother, he must be out there looking for you as well!" Jin Heng's eyes held a trace of panic when Bai Chang mentioned giving up looking but quickly calmed down again. Once again using Bai An as a way to 'convince' Bai Chang.

Bai Chang didn't remain in the office for much longer before leaving with a dark look but quickly replaced the look with his usual lazy atmosphere and appearance before passing by the other workers who were just about to leave.

"Xiao Ling, it's so good you're here. We just arrived here as well and were about to go in." Madame Jia said with a slight bit of hate and annoyance in her voice.

Madame Jia also known as Jia Yi was formerly named Jiao Yi, an illegitimate daughter of the Jiao family. The Jiao family, although not on the level of the Zhou family is still quite well-known as another family in the real estate business but has a longer history in the business.

Jia Yi was a favored daughter of the old head of the Jiao family but made many enemies in her family. Despite her status of illegitimate child, she still looks down and despises other illegitimate children including Jia Ling.

Although she was a favored daughter in the past, when the old head of the Jiao family passed away, he didn't leave her much at all as he was old-fashioned and she was a daughter not a son. Due to the enemies she made and the loss of her backing, she now holds no position, power or status in the Jiao family.

Even though she has no power in the Jiao family and the Jiao family are much inferior to the Jia family, she still married the current head of the Jia family who was still the young master at the time because they happened to fall in love and defied the Jia family's old master and old madame and got married anyway.

At the time the marriage caused quite an uproar , now it's just old news no one brings up.

"Yeah, Xiao Ling you arrived here at the perfect time, now we can all go in together!" Jia Ling's half-sister, Jia Yu said with a bright smile before grabbing Jia Ling's hand and beginning to walk forward towards the door.

Jia Ling just allowed herself to be dragged along without saying anything. Before entering the building Jia Ling was almost sure she heard Jia Yi snort before following them.

Upon entering the private room that had been booked out for the rest of the night, Jia Ling could see her father and four older brother's already sitting there.
