Chapter 1: Rubik's Cube

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

In all of mankind's history, there has never been a shortage of great scientists that could change the world. Newton's law of gravity, Einstein's theory of relativity, Mark Hughe's anti-matter drive, and Higg's god particle. Furthermore, with Lauren Lee's Theory of Curved Travel, mankind advanced a large step forward towards their dreams. When they finally entered the realm of interstellar travel, exploration and interstellar colonization became mankind's most important desire.

Within the last three hundred years, there have been cyclical periods of war and peace. At the end of it, the Milky Way Alliance was formed and mankind entered a new era. The Galileo Science Space Station was the Milky Way Alliance's S-ranked research station. It was also the place that was closest to the core of the Milky Way Galaxy. The scientists inside were currently spearheading research into the theory of parallel dimensions.

"Doctor, the government has rejected our request for funding and it looks like we have to stop our research on the Rubik's Cube." In the research station, scientists were currently crowding around an old man. Although he looked extremely old, he was full of spirit and vigor; even his silver hair seemed to shine. After hearing the news, the old man began to scold loudly, "Those pigs only think about money. Science is king, it is the greatest, it's universal! How can you compare it with money?!"

Even the youngest of the scientists surrounding him was in his fifties. None of them knew whether they should laugh or cry; they felt extremely helpless. The last twenty years of research had not brought in any results, so their situation was inevitable. Twenty years ago, a relatively unknown scientist in the field of space-time, Alan Tucker, released a paper that discussed the theory of parallel dimensions. At that point in time, it did not arouse much interest because although mankind's technology was very advanced, the existence of parallel dimensions was considered too far-fetched. However, an external group financed Alan Tucker's research. After organizing an exploration team, they proceeded to retrieve the mysterious Rubik's Cube from the core of the Milky Way Galaxy.

News of this sent shockwaves around the entire Milky Way Alliance. Alan Tucker had been hailed as the fifth person to change the course of mankind and was celebrated in the entire Milky Way Alliance. However, after twenty years, his research had not advanced a single step. Other than proving that the Rubik's Cube was extremely hard, there was nothing special about it. They were not able to reverse engineer any magical technology from it, and there were even rumors saying that this was just a scam by Alan Tucker and the external group. Due to all of this, the research station was to be shut down, all of the information they acquired would be sealed, and the scientists would be split up. Even Alan Tucker would be subject to the Milky Way Alliance's tribunal.

Alan calmly stared at the soldiers' barbaric actions with a wry smile hanging on his lips. Science, especially grand science, what was twenty years to it?

"Doctor, you can't wander around!" a soldier said as he obstructed Alan Tucker.

The old man raised his eyebrow in disdain. "This old one wants to go to the toilet. What, do you expect me to grow wings and fly away?" The soldier was shocked at his words and then eventually relented. This man in front of him was the most famous person in the Milky Way Alliance for the last twenty years. Several minutes later, the alarms in the research station started blaring and then a space shuttle flew off. The soldiers who immediately jumped into action were blocked by a group of scientists. The soldiers did not want to hurt innocent people, and they especially didn't want to be responsible for injuring these elite scientists of the Milky Way Alliance. During this commotion, the small space shuttle's hull flashed before entering subspace.

"A group of hairless rabbits wants to catch this old man?" Alan Tucker pressed a button. Ten seconds later, he entered curved flight. The entire space station was in a mess. One warship after another started to fly off like flies without heads in random directions. They had underestimated the lengths to which this group of scientists was willing to go…

The Milky Way Alliance spent ten years searching for a trace of Alan Tucker, but they did not manage to yield any results. As there were numerous violent storms in the vicinity of the Galileo star field, the probability of a small space shuttle being able to escape from the area was extremely small, so the Alliance gave up on the search. Furthermore, this issue was not publicized, so everyone gradually forgot about it.

In a faraway solar system floated mankind's original home, Earth. Interstellar travel had caused Earth's environment to change. Although it was not the most advanced place in the Milky Way Alliance, it maintained quite a high standard.

At a beautiful manmade lakeside lied two youths, both of them holding a beer bottle in each hand. The area around them was littered with numerous beer bottles. One of them was very honest-looking with a square face and large ears. Around his neck was a limited edition rose-colored chain which shined brightly. It was so expensive that it could feed a normal family for half a year. The other youth was very ordinary-looking. However, he had a smile that was unforgettable and indescribable.

"Boss, all roads lead to Rome and heroes all started from their roots. What does military school count for anyways? All you need to do is say the word and the two of us will go roam the galaxy dominating everyone!" said the honest-looking youth as he jumped up. He was holding the beer bottle in his right hand up to his face and was talking into it like it was a microphone. Wang Zheng, who was sitting at the side, raised his leg to give him a kick. "Dominate my fart. If I can't take this setback, how can I continue to live? I don't need you to console me!"

The Asia Region's Ares College was one of Earth's three great military colleges. It was where ace commanders and mech pilots gathered. However, not long ago, the two of them had received their genetic test scores. Yan Xiaosu achieved a 68 while Wang Zheng got a pitiful 28.

The genetic test tests one's genetic standards to filter the best talents. Eighty points allows one to become an "elite" human. These people will eventually become the best at everything they do. Sixty points was considered barely passing. If one wanted to study the core specialisations, one would have to have a score of seventy or above. Most specialisations required a minimum score of sixty. This was the way to efficiently allocate the Alliance's resources. Ares College took three things into account when accepting students: genetic scores, reasoning tests, and an interview. However, on the glorious first step, Wang Zheng had already fallen to the very bottom.

Yan Xiaosu was also speechless when he found out that Wang Zheng only had a score of 28. In the last few years, he had not even heard of people with a score lower than forty. His score was no different from an animal's!

"Boss, there must have been a problem with the machine. Why don't you go for another test?" Yan Xiaosu said.

"It doesn't matter. Military school isn't my only choice." Wang Zheng smiled self-deprecatingly. How could there be such a coincidence that he was the only one with a wrong score? He remembered the first time he saw an advertisement of a mech pilot of the Milky Way Alliance. Wang Zheng was mesmerized by the impressiveness of the mech, so he set that as his aim. However, reality did not even allow him to try out for this opportunity. Yan Xiaosu could not believe it. A genetic score of 28. Without even talking about military school, even the volunteer corps might not want him. This would completely end Wang Zheng's dreams. However, no one could help him with this matter.

"Oh yes, I have something I need you to help me with!" Yan Xiaosu said, his face suddenly turning serious.

"Spit it out. You don't have to pretend to be serious."

Yan Xiaosu fished out a scented letter from his pocket. "Boss, I have always admired Yue Jing, and because we are going to graduate, I would like to confess to her!"

Wang Zheng sat up. "Fine, I will support you. Go! We men must sing the songs of conquest!"

"Boss, you know that I'm quite timid. I am asking you to send it on my behalf. We are brothers for life! The next half of my life is in your hands!" Yan Xiaosu clutched Wang Zheng's hands tightly and looked at him innocently with his large, watery eyes.

Wang Zheng immediately wrenched his hands away." Fine. Don't make me sick. You always use this method to convince me!"

He was only sending a love letter. Wang Zheng didn't really care about it though; he knew that Yan Xiaosu had changed the topic on purpose.

"Come, one more round. Let's hope that I will be hugging a beautiful lady soon!" Yan Xiaosu shouted. The two of them drank violently, finishing the rest of the beer.

Looking at Wang Zheng's back, Yan Xiaosu shook his head. Although he had scrutinized Wang Zheng's examination situation, there was indeed no issue at all. F**k. What in the world was this?

Back in the dormitory, Wang Zheng sat down in a cross-legged position and began to adjust his breathing rhythm. This was something that had been passed down in his family, a treasure passed down for thousands of years. Even if he lost his job, he could still rely on the family's skill to ear. It was an eight step breathing technique which he had learned when he was young. After repeating it so many times, it had become a habit. Although it didn't seem to have any use, it helped him stay calm.

A giant poster was pasted on the wall. It was a picture of that glistening mech. Wang Zheng dreamed of piloting the mech; however, due to his genetic scores, now it seemed rather insulting.

Student Yan did not go home. He was likely playing "Wargod Covenant" again. It was a very popular mech piloting game. However, Wang Zheng did not understand why it was so popular, because he had no interest in it. He didn't require such mental stimulation; what he needed was the realistic sensation of touch. The sound of mech warriors stomping across the ground. That would truly make him feel like a god!

In the future he would only be able to dream about it. Wang Zheng tore up the four-year-old poster and stared blankly at the ceiling. After some time, he picked up the shreds of the poster and slowly pasted it back together. Becoming a mech pilot was his only goal ever since he was young; if he lost sight of it, what else could he do?

Dawn Advanced Middle School was one of the most famous in the Asia Region. The campus was extremely beautiful in the morning, filled with vigour and the smell of youth. Wang Zheng was doing his morning exercises like nothing had happened. Waking up early allowed him to receive the most effect out of his training and at the same time it slowly made him gain confidence. Although this routine was no longer useful, it was hard to change the habits formed over many years.

However, he had to do something important today, so after finishing his training, Wang Zheng headed towards the school.

From afar, two girls walked over. One had a head of curly, golden hair and was wearing a yellow spaghetti strapped top and diamond earrings. From afar, she had the bearings of a princess. The girl on her side was wearing branded goods. Although Wang Zheng could not tell where they were from, Yan Xiaosu also loved branded goods. The logo alone gave the item value. The girls' heads were raised as they walked hand in hand down the centre of the road. The two of them were bursting with the energy of youth, absolutely dazzling anyone who so much as looked at them.

Yue Jing and Ye Zisu were the two peerless beauties of Dawn Middle School. One's father was a politician of the Asia Region while the other's was the scion of a rich family. Although they were students, they often turned up on the news. In the eyes of normal students, they were celebrities.

Frankly speaking, although they were beautiful and pleasing to the eye, for some inexplicable reason, Wang Zheng did not feel anything towards these two girls. Yan Xiaosu always described him as frigid or said that he was immature. It's important to know that Yan Xiaosu has already done ample research on this situation. It looked as though the two girls were treating the road like a fashion runway, and it attracted envious glares from the people around.

Wang Zheng then walked towards the two girls. The two girls, who seemed experienced with such a situation, slowed their steps.

Chapter 2: I Really Slipped!

Wang Zheng went up to Yue Jing and asked, "Might you be Student Yue Jing?"

Yue Jing's eyes swept across Wang Zheng. It was three o'clock in the afternoon when Wang Zheng attempted this raid. This fellow was wearing cheap-looking clothes and she did not recognize him. He was clearly a nobody in the school; no different from trash.

Her cheeks raised slightly as she plainly replied, "Yes, I am."

"Good day. I have a message for you. I …" Wang Zheng proceeded to take out Yan Xiaosu's love letter, but before he managed to finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Ye Zisu's impatient grunt.

"I am not interested in you. You can keep your rubbish."

Yue Jing replied refreshingly. She immediately poured a bucket of cold water on Wang Zheng's ambition. At the side, Ye Zisu was smiling wryly while shaking her head at him.

"Zisu, this is the 29th one this month. I have gotten five more confessions than to you!"

Yue Jing said proudly. She treated each person who confessed to her differently. If the person could be of use to her, she would console the individual; however, the person in front of her was no different from a toad. Cutting him off quickly would be best.

Ye Zisu smiled sweetly. "If you think someone with a genetic score of 28 can be considered a 'person,' then I have nothing more to say."

Yue Jing stared blankly. "You mean to say that he is the one who broke the school record? That Wang Zheng?"

Ye Zisu at the side couldn't help but burst out in laughter while Yue Jing's face turned a steely green. For a person like her, who had pride in her reputation, being confessed to by such a person was humiliating!

The two girls did not try to restrain their voices, so every sentence was heard by Wang Zheng.

Wang Zheng then ran to the front of the two girls. Yue Jing impatiently asked, "What else do you want?!"

"Student Yue, you are mistaken. This love letter is from my friend Yan Xiaosu. He likes you." Due to the fact that both of them were students, even though the two girls had said some unpleasant things, Wang Zheng was not angry.

"Yan Xiaosu?" Ye Zisu, who was at the side, burst out into further laughter. "Xiao Jing, you're the luckiest one. This Yan Xiaosu's family runs a company that produces sanitary pads. Little Fortunate Star Sanitary Pads."

Yue Jing's expression turned furious. She immediately tore up Yan Xiaosu's love letter and threw it at Wang Zheng's face. "Scram!"

After shouting angrily, she turned and strode off. Ye Zisu was extremely happy. Although they were friends, they were also rivals, and she had never seen Yue Jing suffer such a setback.

The laughing Ye Zisu then realized that the Wang Zheng at the side was merely silently watching; he was not angry nor displeased.

"Ah. Aren't you angry?" Ye Zisu asked curiously.

Wang Zheng gave her a wry smile. "When a dog bites a human, the human does not bite the dog back. Being able to see her true colors is a blessing for my friend."

Student Wang then leisurely walked away. This was a good thing in its own way. Such a girl did not fit Yan Xiaosu; she would only be a source of torment.

Ye Zisu stared blankly for a moment and then looked at Wang Zheng's back in surprise. This person could be pretty cool too!

This small issue was just a bump on the road for Wang Zheng. He had already spent a night thinking about these things. He felt like he could not give up on his dream. He had to try to enter the army; even joining the logistics corps was an option. He once heard that the best soldiers would be sent to military school to develop further, meaning that he still had a chance to be a mech pilot.

He felt that he could still be a heroic soldier.

From a young age, Wang Zheng's parents were never around and thus he was very independent. In the last 16 years, he had never doubted himself. Unfortunately, the genetic test had finally caused some self-doubt.

Wang Zheng, will you believe in yourself, or will you believe in the genetic test?

Not long after, Wang Zheng climbed to the top of a large rock beside the lake and watched the crystalline waves on the surface. His thoughts and emotions were scattered. A score of 28 was a score of 28. So what if it was like that? In the history of mankind, many people who did not possess talent found success. Einstein was called dumb when he was young, and Alan Tucker almost failed to make it into university!

"I, Wang Zheng, will definitely become a glorious mech pilot. Ares college, prepare to meet your master! Onward!"

Ah ~ A youth has to be passionate.

F**k that genetic test!

Wang Zheng's voice was extremely resonating. In his fervor, he jumped forward passionately, imagining himself entering Ares College's gates.

In the middle of the air, Student Wang finally noticed an extremely large problem. F**k!. He couldn't swim!

Splash

Not far away, a shout was heard. "Someone's trying to drown himself. Quickly, help him!"

After staying awake for an entire night and half a day, Yan Xiaosu finally exited the net café. His luck was extremely good. It was the school holidays for little children, so his games were extremely relaxed. Out of ten games, he had won eight. It felt amazing.

He was a VIP at this net café. After enjoying himself and having lunch sent to him, he opened his Skylink and started scrolling through the currently hottest news in school. As they were approaching graduation, the atmosphere around the school was quite heavy because the genetic test had demoralized numerous people.

At this moment, a large, red headline flashed across his Skylink. Only the most recent and hottest news would have such a commotion. Yesterday it was regarding Ye Zisu's genetic score of 92. It had caused numerous people to feel extremely moved. She was beautiful, intelligent, and the scion of a rich family; she was truly a goddess.

A hot-blooded youth had confessed to Ye Zisu and failed before attempting to drown in the lake!!!

There were almost a thousand comments made about the event. Perhaps this guy had received too much of a shock. The news spread like wildfire, and the moment it was released, it ignited everyone's passion!

Student Xiaosu was extremely happy. Psh, those who dared to compete with him had to suffer the consequences.

Good things have to be shared amongst brothers!

He immediately dialed up Wang Zhengs Skylink. The moment the call went through, Student Xiaosu exploded in excitement. "Boss, have you seen the school news? Some idiot failed in his confession and tried to drown himself! What do you think? Can there be anyone stupider in this world than that guy? This champion can immediately go down in the history books of our school! Hahaha!"

Realising that Wang Zheng was slightly silent, Xiaosu continued to speak. "Hey, Boss! Can you hear me?"

On the other side, Wang Zheng was currently lying in the medical centre's bed. Holding his Skylink, he spoke each word clearly. "Dear Yan Xiaosu, your boss is the idiot that will go down in the history books of the school!"

Ptui…

Yan Xiaosu spat out the soup he was currently drinking. "Could it be…"

(Location Change)

"This woman doesn't suit you." Wang Zheng said. He sighed before explaining the entire situation.

"Boss, I just wanted to try confessing. This is too touching; you actually decided to drown yourself to show your sincerity!"

Yan Xiaosu said fervently. Wang Zheng was truly a brother. He was willing to kill himself after failing his duty.

"Go to hell! Your grandfather slipped!"

Wang Zheng retorted angrily. Yan Xiaosu, who was sitting opposite of him, immediately backed off quickly while laughing loudly.

He was truly someone that was extremely unlucky. At this point, the doctor walked over. "Okay now, you need to let him rest. A youth who cannot tolerate setbacks will never amount to much in the future!"

Student Wang's face turned red. This was truly embarrassing!

He could only smile bitterly and nod his head. Thankfully, tomorrow was the weekend. He would be able to let the situation simmer down over the next two days. Who was the bastard who published the news?!

Wang Zheng was now famous; not only was he the first person with a genetic score of 28, he had even tried to drown himself. After spending three years in obscurity, he went out with a bang just before graduation.

Although it only took 20 minutes for him to get back home from school, his house was extremely far.

He didn't go back to his house; no one was ever at home. Instead, Wang Zheng headed towards the bookshop across the street from his house.

The one who opened the bookshop was an old man. Everyone called him the Old Merchant. He had been here for almost ten years now. The books in the Old Merchant's store were usually all extremely profound, especially the ones with regards to the sciences. However in the current society with all the technological advances, reading books was only considered a form of cultural appreciation. Thus, the store was always deserted. Only Wang Zheng would converse with the old man, so the two of them became friends.

The Old Merchant had two hobbies: drinking and lecturing.

Unfortunately, his only student was Wang Zheng.

"Old Merchant, Old Merchant, I'm back. I'm starving." Wang Zheng said as he threw his bag to a corner and starting looking for food.

"Stinking brat, I will eventually become broke with your appetite!" an old man who was leisurely reading a book said. "Did you finish the book on sub-square algebraic theory?"

"I finished it a long time ago. There was nothing new about it. Honestly speaking, why do you not have a Skylink? It so convenient." After being tormented for a day, Wang Zheng was absolutely famished.

Whenever Wang Zheng finished the Old Merchant's assignments, he would be allowed to eat until he was stuffed. Such a strange arrangement had already been ongoing for the last eight years. In the beginning, the Old Merchant had started him off with foundational mathematical theories and gradually increased the difficulty all the way until now. Wang Zheng was on a completely different level compared to the rest of those in his school.

The Old Merchant did not say a word as he silently watched Wang Zheng eat. He then pointed at a seat opposite of him and said, "Come, let's chat for a bit. What do you think about the idea in sub-square theory which talks about how space-time cannot be touched?"

Wang Zheng wiped his mouth. "Comparing the sub-square theories, I feel that Old Man Tuck's parallel theories are more to my liking. Some form of cosmic energy that walls off the parallel spaces exists; however, according to the laws of momentum, there will be a point where an opportunity to connect them will naturally appear, but the chances of it happening are almost nonexistent."

Old Merchant nodded his head in satisfaction. "Brat, you were born to be a scientist. Forget about becoming a mech pilot; such a brainless aspiration that only develops one's body is a waste of your talent."

"Ah, how did you know my genetic score was 28?" Wang Zheng blurted out.

The Old Merchant stared blankly as he was stunned for a moment. "28… you… can you still be considered a human?"

Wang Zheng really wanted to give himself a slap. What was his stinking mouth doing?

He shrugged his shoulders helplessly. "My life was given to me by my parents; I can't change it. I have no interest in the sciences, and life is about movement! You old people just don't understand!"

The Old Merchant did not smile. "I hope that regardless of what you encounter, you will remember your optimistic spirit. To become someone, you need to be able to laugh in life."

"Old Merchant, don't tell me you've met these great people. Once I get my graduation certificate, I plan to enlist in the army, so I might not be able to see you anymore in the future." Wang Zheng replied.

The Old Merchant gave him a wry smile. "Brat, you are truly a treasure. However, being at this stage at this age isn't bad. Remember that mathematics is the foundation of thousands of things. It is also necessary in becoming a mech warrior. Physics is the observer of the universe; grasp this point and all else will follow. Be a warrior who has brains!"

The Old Merchant was a fanatical enthusiast of science. However, one did not know why he had come here to open a book store. Every time they touched upon this topic, he would speak of it arrogantly.

"Brat, you are about to come of age. This is a present from me."

The Old Merchant placed a simply wrapped box on the table.

"Wow, it can't be. The miserly Old Merchant is giving me a gift? The sun is going to rise in the west. You're not playing a trick on me, right?!"

Wang Zheng immediately looked out the window.

"You little brat, how could I be the same as your dad? I am an erudite individual; he is the biggest trickster!"

The Old Merchant smiled. The year the Old Merchant arrived, he befriended Wang Zheng's family. Afterwards, when Wang Zheng's parents left, they left him in the hands of the Old Merchant.

Chapter 3: Whoa! What a Gigantic Skeleton!

Wang Zheng did not refute his words. He had indeed never seen a more knowledgeable bookstore owner than this old merchant. Given this old merchant's level of knowledge, even if he couldn't become a university professor, he could easily convince the average person.

"Young lad, as long as humans are alive, there is always a way. If one wishes to pass through the parallel space, even though it seems impossible, it'll depend on luck. When luck arrives, the probability will become 100%! The breathing technique passed down through your family is actually part of mankind's ancient wealth. A genetic score of 28, heh, even if you are useless in this world, in another world you could be a genius!"

"Old Merchant, can you please be more tactful? You really don't know how to comfort someone."

The old man usually built happiness on top of his pain.

"Hehe, just because you cannot see it, you can't say it doesn't exist!" said the old merchant with a mysterious tone.

"…Old Merchant, you don't have a fever, do you?" Although Wang Zheng noticed that the old merchant was acting strangely today, he wasn't the only weird one; student Wang had been pretty unlucky lately too.

"F**k, I drank so much that I feel dizzy. I'm going to close the shop and have a rest. You can go away now!" the Old Merchant said while waving his hands.

Wang Zheng chuckled, picked up the gift, and ran out in an instant. Looking at Wang Zheng's back, the Old Merchant let out a trace of a smile.

"Just 28? How would the people of this world be able to identify a real genius? One day, you will cause this world to tremble!"

When Wang Zheng got home, he proceeded with his routine Eight Stage Breathing Training. If he didn't, his mood would not be at peace. Saying that his results weren't disappointing wasn't true. However, not being depressed made Wang Zheng feel like he himself was magical.

To pursue a life of learning? Just thinking about sitting in an office and writing and drawing for the entire day made Wang Zheng feel dizzy. He had never considered such an idea even though he felt that scientists were the greatest group among human beings.

His gaze fell upon the old merchant's gift, which was on the table.

Wang Zeng jumped up and picked up the gift. The thing was not big, but it was quite heavy.

After he tore open the newspaper wrapping, the box that was revealed was quite unexpected. The silver box was actually made of metal and it even looked to be of high quality. Although he sometimes regretted following the old merchant, Wang Zheng only felt anticipation towards this gift.

When he opened the box, he saw a dark block of iron inside…. It looked a little like those Rubik's Cubes he played with when he was younger, but what was this thing?

After inspecting it carefully, he couldn't find a user manual inside the box. Wang Zheng stared at the iron block and cautiously examined it. It was absolutely solid.

He even tried to bite it, but it was so hard that his teeth almost broke.

What was the use of this thing? Was it some hidden weapon?

If it hit someone on the head, that person might just lose his life!

Could the inside be made of gold? This little fan of wealth immediately rolled up his sleeves to investigate. What if the black outer layer was rubbed off and the insides revealed a piece of dazzling gold?

Wang started to laugh to himself. This was the first gift he had received after coming of age. Why did it have to be a piece of scrap iron? Still, he was very grateful to the old merchant.

Suddenly, he felt a stabbing pain. Although the iron block felt very flat and smooth, it suddenly scraped his skin and started sucking his blood like a leech!"

Wang Zheng tried to throw the block away, but it was stuck to his hand! A sudden burst of golden light shot out and Wang Zheng felt like he had gotten into a train crash!

Darn it ….. what happened? I don't want to die before I get laid!

This was Student Wang's last thought

Drip…

The sound of water droplets woke him up. Wang Zheng slowly opened his eyes. His surroundings were pitch black. What kind of place was this? His forehead was tingling with pain. The only good thing was that his body parts were still intact.

When he touched the floor, it was like touching some kind of ice-cold ground. The surroundings were pitch black and nothing could be seen.

"Is there anyone? Can you turn on a light?"

Wang Zheng cautiously asked. In his life, never had he experienced so many strange events like today

Bang~~~

After a moment, there was a flash of white light and Wang Zheng was almost blinded.

When his vision was finally restored, Wang Zheng was absolutely terrified by the things in front of him.

In front of him, barely touching his nose, stood a red…..thing!

It was a skeleton! Ahh~~~~~~~~

A human skeleton! Ahhhhhh!

His scream echoed loudly inside this place. The skeleton nearly caused Wang Zheng to faint.

After howling and realizing that no one was responding to him, he started to feel embarrassed.

He was enclosed within a square room which was pure white all around. Opposite him stood something that looked like a robot of some sort, but he didn't know whom it was designed by. It had a design resembling a skeleton and it was so beautiful that one could die!

"Where the hell am I? If there's anyone alive, please speak out!"

Wang Zheng shouted. Today's events were things he had never experienced in the past fifteen years, and it was was getting more outrageous. How did he get himself into this weird room?

"Genetic testing, commence!" The skeleton robot suddenly extended its hand and a beam of light shrouded Wang Zheng.

Luckily, it didn't hurt; he only felt a slight itch.

Before long, a bunch of information appeared in front of Wang Zheng's eyes.

Wang Zheng, male, the original gene is completely preserved, 15 years and 10 months, number of gene evaluation – 18!

The last number was the most eye-catching.

Wang Zheng truly wanted to scold someone. God d**n it! How could they bully people like this? 28 was already embarrassing enough; how did it drop further in these last few days? At this point, wasn't he no different from a pig?

This had to be a nightmare!

But the skeleton robot suddenly gave a salute. "Congratulations on clearing the evaluation, Wang Zheng. The evaluation shows that you're a genius. You have the potential of a god of war, success rate of a 100%. Should the Super Soldier Program proceed?"

Wang Zheng's face turned red. "Keke, don't mock me. No matter how bad my talent is, it was all given to me by my parents, and I am very grateful to them!"

"There are no errors in this test. Should the Super Soldier program proceed?" the robot asked meticulously.

Even though he was unable to communicate with the skeleton, Wang Zheng quickly understood from the skeleton robot that this was the fallen Rand Empire's super soldier training system which only selected extremely talented people to proceed with training. The inside of the cube was a special training place where time was almost paused. It was also a huge killing device that the Rand Empire used to conquer the universe, … But the truth was that the Milky Way Alliance didn't have this dog s**t Rand Empire. What non-existent time-stopping technology? Was this some kind of fairytale?

"Hey, who is the one causing mischief? Let me out, or I am going to get violent! Believe me or not, I'll sue you until you go bankrupt!"

Although Wang Zheng decided to get a little more serious, three seconds later, he started believing the Skeleton.

The skeleton robot gave him a very carefree electric shock. Sometimes force was the most convincing way.

Looking at the skeleton robot's oppressive eyes along with that handgun flashing with light, Wang Zheng did not hesitate to choose the super soldier plan. Adapting to circumstances was the smart thing. This was another of his family's teachings.

"Super soldier first stage training begins. Matching martial technique!"

Two silver balls of light appeared and constantly swept across Wang Zheng's body. This time it was a little painful. However, Wang Zheng was staring at the silver balls curiously. He thought that everything in front of him was a dream. What exactly was the Old Merchant up to?

"Primordial Regression Technique"

Three ancient words appeared. Words like these were rarely seen these days.

"Congratulations for matching with the unparalleled Primordial Regression Technique. In the Rand Empire's ten thousand year history, only three were able to cultivate this technique. The first step to practicing it is to feel the first tier of primordial energies—Thirty-Two Stage Cultivation Technique!"

32 spots appeared on the skeleton robot. Wang Zheng finally understood the need for this diagram on the Skeleton Robot. What could be clearer than this to show the location of the 32 meridians?

In another parallel space, human development had taken another direction. Technology existed, but what was more important was inner strength. Although genetic evaluation was the same, the direction taken was different. In the end, there was a completely different result.

Simply put, one was technology-based with the body assisting it, while the other one was body-based with technology assisting it. However, Wang Zheng felt that the latter seemed more torturous.

The skeleton robot was very detailed in its explanation. It seemed to feel that this sort of method was very difficult to explain. However, Wang Zheng understood the method quite clearly. This thing seemed to be similar to the Eight Stage Breathing technique that his family passed down, but it was slightly more complicated. Since the age of three, Wang Zheng's father tempted him with lollipops to practice the breathing technique. Who knew that it would be useful here?

"Should the technique to link up the meridians begin?" the skeleton robot asked.

Upon hearing these words which had cruelty hidden beneath the surface, Wang Zheng had a feeling that something was not right. "Haha, can I choose not to?"

"You cannot!" Another glittering silver needle appeared in the robot's hands

F**k, that thing was about 30 centimeters long. What did that skeleton intend to do?

"God d**n you. If I had no choice, why did you even ask?!" Even clay people had a breaking point, and Wang Zheng started to rage.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh…

His complaints were useless. 32 silver needles were instantly inserted into Wang Zheng's body. At that moment, Student Wang's body felt chills, but surprisingly, it felt okay.

After three seconds, the room was echoing with Wang Zheng's howling. A strand of silver thread was attached behind each silver needle. Strong electrical currents entered Wang Zheng's body.

"Guide the spirit according to the electrical currents flowing through the acupuncture points!"

Wang Zheng was in a semi-conscious state, but he just couldn't faint. Linking up the meridians was complete nonsense. His body couldn't feel any guidance! But right at this moment, the Eight Stage Breathing technique he learnt when he was young started to automatically circulate itself, miraculously guiding the electrical currents through his body. From eight it expanded to 16, and then it expanded again from 16 to 32 stages. Each stage was where he had been shocked. Wang Zheng's pain reduced by a bit, and after a period of time, he gradually began to recover his consciousness and started guiding his thoughts on to the areas where he was shocked.

When all 32 points were finally connected and formed a complete cycle, the electrical current disappeared, followed by a loss of that marvelous feeling of completing a cycle

Wang Zheng once again opened his eyes. The skeleton robot was still standing in front of him.

"Congratulations, Soldier Wang Zheng, you created a new record for the time taken to awaken. The initial cycle was completed in ten days!"

The robot showered him with meticulous praise; it even gave him a standard military salute.

After hearing the praises, Wang Zheng still did not dare to lower his guard because the robot in front of his eyes may have been talking politely, but his actions were too cruel.

"Can I go already?!"

"You have to consolidate this martial technique in this period of time. Meanwhile, you will complete this first set of intense training and some warrior's basic training at the same time."

The robot said. Perhaps to make its expressions as gentle as possible, it even revealed a humane smile, but it was actually very frightening!

Robots obviously did not understand that humans needed to rest. Thus, what immediately followed was the beginning of training

Horse stance!

God d**n it. Wang Zheng felt like dying after squatting for a whole day. In the past, he had done a lot push-ups, long-distance running, and short distance sprinting, but that was all within a normal person's normal limits. On other matters, the robot seemed to be respectful towards him, but once training started, it was just an absolute monster

On the first day, Wang Zheng couldn't take it and asked, "If I keep half-squatting like this, will I be able to become a super soldier?"

"Sorry, your question exceeds the limits of my answers"

Student Wang gave up. Although he could feel that this kind of balancing did have its advantages, was it really worth it?

Once it had started, there would be no stopping. If Wang Zheng's movements were not up to standard, he would receive an electric shock.

What was worse than being in horse stance for a day? Doing it for six months!

Wang Zheng started to wonder if his legs were going to be strained until it changed shape. This exercise was very dull; it was so uninteresting that he was going to be driven mad! After realizing that he would only be frustrated if he kept thinking this way, he realized that practice was the only thing that would pass the time. As time passed, Wang Zheng felt that his own optimism had developed to an extreme level.

After six long months, the robot finally gave him a different assignment.

A pile of cylinders appeared in the area. Wang Zheng's mission was to walk to and fro on top of the cylinders.

Whenever cylinder lit up, it would disappear immediately, but what would happen when he fell?

Actually, nothing much; he would just fall from a six meter height.

Would it hurt if one fell down from that height?

It was absolutely terrible suffering. Wang Zheng felt that it was all just a dream, an extremely painful one. However, the red light of the skeleton could cure him.

The potential of mankind always revealed itself in difficult times. In order to not fall into insanity, Wang Zheng would jump here and jump there every single day like a kangaroo, gradually becoming more skillful led in the thirty-two stage Primordial Regression Technique.

After a month, Wang Zheng very confidently and easily navigated the top of the cylinders. The skeleton said that the cylinders were called "plum piles." However, to Wang Zheng, it was a type of digital and graphical arrangement. After he memorized the entire layout, everything became simple.

"Bonehead, this event isn't challenging anymore. This brother is already invincible."

"Yes!" the robot always replied simply and in a straightforward fashion.

Suddenly, the course changed. Although the cylinders were still cylinders, they had shrunk from a diameter of twenty centimeters to ten centimeters.

The six meter drop was still six meters, only now the floor had changed into numerous densely-packed nails.

God d**n it, this brother here has trypophobia!

Chapter 4: Wargod's Covenant

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

Wang Zheng's entire body went numb. Even his mood was affected by that sight. Very soon, he understood what it meant to have "ten thousands arrows piercing through his heart."

Endless howling continued to echo around the room.

Wang Zheng soon began to understand that there was no such thing as a genius. It was a lie! How could he have been so stupid to be tricked by those sweet words?

He wanted to leave, but as Bonehead said, unless he finished the training, he could go anywhere.

Wang Zheng once thought of protesting by ceasing his activities. However, he changed his mind when Bonehead said that he had prepared 108 ways to motivate lazy soldiers. As a result, Wang Zheng decided not to carry on with that idea.

After getting used to that pile of cylinders, Wang Zheng realized he had already spent just half a month's worth of time on it. He felt extremely surprised at his results and it could only be said that mankind's potential was truly immeasurable.

He really wanted to know what these theatrics had to do with being a super soldier. Could it be that the Rand Empire created a legion of super soldiers by making them jump here and there?

It has to be said that at least in future, dancing won't be difficult for Wang Zheng.

Mankind's potential could be said to be unlimited. Very soon, Wang Zheng understood that the fear of heights, the fear of tight spaces, and the fear of sharp objects could all be overcome. In half a month's time, Student Wang began to provoke Bonehead once again. It was his only source of entertainment.

"Are there any new things to do? Whether it's slugs, ticks, or your old mother, big brother here is not afraid!"

Wang Zheng said enthusiastically as he bounded across the pile of cylinders. He had not forgotten to give Bonehead a middle finger as well.

However, what awaited Wang Zheng was not some infinitely scary object. Instead, it was a beautiful lady. She had pristine skin that felt so tender that it seemed like it would break with a touch. She also had these huge, watery, and warm eyes…

AH~~~~

Student Wang let out an anguished scream. This brother was still in his developing years!

Doesn't Bonehead have a bottom line?!?!?!

Bonehead looked very happy at the side. His two hands were flashing with electricity. Failure would be met with punishment!

After another half a month, Student Wang began to realize that everything was not what it seemed, especially Bonehead.

When he thought that the pile of cylinders training had ended, the arrangement had suddenly changed. He started with the Big Dipper Stakes arrangement, then the Three Stars Stakes, the Infinite Stars Stakes, the Heavenly Dipper Stakes, and lastly, the Bagua Stakes. What he originally thought was extremely easy ended up taking him almost five months to master.

Bonehead then made him train his focus. He would use poisonous snakes, knives, dead bodies, maggot nests, and some unheard of methods to attempt to distract Wang Zheng. So long as they could cause him discomfort, they would appear.

Wang Zheng's only source of entertainment would be that after training, he could hide in a corner and draw circles. Every circle was a Bonehead.

In the end, after he had been trapped for a year in this infernal hell, Wang Zheng's Primordial Regression Technique had improved to a significantly higher level. He had already become quite familiar with it. There was a pinky-sized cloud of gas that would circulate around the inside of his body. It used to appear very faintly when he practiced his Eight Stage Breathing technique, but it had gone through a qualitative improvement.

"Congratulations. The next up will be the third stage of training. This is also the last part of the first phase of your training," Skeleton said.

This was the first time that Wang Zheng felt that Bonehead seemed a little adorable. He immediately hugged Bonehead. "Wow, that's so nice of you. I'm finally going to be released from this! God has told me that I will be awakened from this nightmare! Hallelujah!"

Skeleton did not move. "Basic Skill – Leaning Landslide. I will demonstrate it once for you."

A rock pillar appeared in the space in front of them. Bonehead lowered his shoulder and rammed into it viciously with his willowy body.

Bang…

Wang Zheng couldn't help applaud him. "That was a good tackle! Keep on going!"

In his heart, he couldn't help but hope that Bonehead would smash himself to pieces and turn into bone and potato soup!

"This is the Leaning Landslide. Now you're going to practice it."

"Is that it?" Wang Zheng had already been used to talking to himself. Bonehead often refused to answer of his questions.

If this was not considered the most dull form of training, then it would definitely be close. Wang Zheng began to miss the stake training. At the very least there would be some variation. All Wang Zheng did now was tackle the pillar endlessly every day. He even wondered if he had suffered some form of concussion.

He had to tackle with all his strength and only then would the pillar light up. Otherwise, what awaited Wang Zheng wasn't pleasant…

Each day was split into three parts. The first part involved him practicing his Primordial Regression Technique. The second part involved him tackling a pillar as though his life depended on it. The third part required him to open his eyes and observe carefully. What he was told to stare at was a leaf. Apparently, there was supposed to be a picture hidden on it. The day he manages to see it will be the day he passes this stage of his training.

Wang Zheng spent his days meditating, tackling the pillar, and staring at the leaf. He felt like his eyes were gradually getting larger and larger; he seemed to have developed double eyelids! Eventually, Wang Zheng managed to see the image on the leaf. It was just a drawing of Bonehead! F**k!

Another year slowly passed and Wang Zheng became more used to this life with each passing day. However, unexpectedly, the space had changed into what he first saw when he first arrived.

"Congratulations! You have already passed the first phase of training. You can now leave."

"Leave?"

Wang Zheng was momentarily stunned. Truth be told, he had gotten used to this life after two years. He had to admit that his ability to adapt was absolutely tyrannical. Furthermore, he was not sure if he had gotten used to this abuse; he even felt a bit of affection towards Bonehead. Although he had been slightly cruel, this bastard was still pretty attentive when it came to his work.

However, now that an opportunity to leave rolled around, Wang Zheng was not going to let it slip by.

After laughing maniacally, Wang Zheng gave Bonehead a tight hug.

"Bonehead! Although you're extremely ugly, I still feel quite affectionate towards you. I think I will miss you."

"Once you have stored enough Battle Energy, we will engage in phase two of the training," Bonehead said quietly.

Wang Zheng was laughing inside. Your sister! Who in the world would want to come back? Continue having your fantastic dreams! Hahahahah!

"Training suggestion: in accordance to the secrecy act of the Super Soldier Program, if you do not gain enough Battle Energy in the next two years, the human destruction procedure will initiate."

Bonehead said seriously.

"What? Destruction procedure? What do you want to destroy? F**k. Do you have any human emotions?"

Wang Zheng couldn't help but mourn sadly.

"I will await the next time you arrive." This was the first time Bonehead had ever let out a stiff smile.

At this point, Wang Zheng felt space warp around him. His entire body had a feeling of abandonment.

GOD, Bonehead. You didn't even tell me what Battle Energy was!!!

"Bonehead! You can't play with me like this!" Wang Zheng shouted angrily as he stood up.

At this point, Wang Zheng had opened his eyes. He was already back home. His room smelled like a thousand farts had fermented inside it, so Wang Zheng immediately opened the windows. He had almost suffocated to death! F**k! What is this?!

Sunlight! Large fields! God! He was finally back!

After basking in the sunlight for a moment, he glanced at the clock on the wall… how could this be???

He remembered he had spent almost two years inside the Super Soldier Training Program. However, only two days of time had passed in reality. It was still the weekend. After opening his Skylink to double check, there was indeed nothing wrong. The only thing inside it was tens of messages from Xiaosu.

After slapping his face he wondered what had happened to the Rubik's Cube itself.

The Rubik's Cube had disappeared. There was only an empty box left behind. Wang Zheng couldn't help but suspect perhaps everything had just been a dream. An extremely long dream.

He jumped in joy. Bang…

Wang Zheng squatted down and held his head in pain while tears streamed down his cheeks. F**ck. He had almost killed himself by knocking against the ceiling!

However, there wasn't much time to think about all this. Wang Zheng immediately rushed towards the Old Merchant's bookstore. However, the house was empty, and on the table was a single letter.

"Brat, don't ask. I don't know anything. Keep a low profile and be careful so you don't get caught, because you will be used as a lab rat if you do. I wish you good luck. Also, I have taken away all of your spare change. Think of it as tuition fees for the past few years."

Spare change?

F**ck! Just kill me with a thousand knives! That was Wang Zheng's final reserve of money! Student Wang, who was about to become a proper adult in five months and ten days, only had 300 silver coins to his name!

Just how many days would he be able to eat for?

After ten minutes, Wang Zheng had tidied up his thoughts. He was still alive and the Rubik's Cube had become a tattoo on his body. His entire body also felt different as a result of the training. This was not a dream! And that Old Merchant wasn't an ordinary old man!

He was an old thief!

He actually had the gall to steal from a poor student. The heavens are unjust!

100 meters outside of that old house, the Old Merchant, who had changed his appearance, was staring quietly at the sad, howling Wang Zheng through a window. His face was full of happiness and excitement. "Brat, I know that you will be able to make it. I hope I will be able to live for a couple more years to see that happen."

Wang Zheng took away all of the food that was left behind in the bookstore; he didn't even leave behind the food that had expired. Granny's leg! Now that he had turned into a complete pauper, he had to save whatever money he could. He had already been trained from a young age with his dad. Furthermore, in this era, it was not so easy to trick people with his thousand year inheritance of the breathing technique. He didn't understand what his poor mother saw in that man.

And what about Battle Energy?

F**ck that. Who would fear death after those two years of hellish training?

Ah, spring; ah, sunshine, I, Wang Zheng, am finally back!

"Boss! Boss! I thought you had gone missing!"

Yan Xiaosu was extremely anxious. He was used to calling Wang Zheng "Boss" because he always had to copy his homework. After a period of time, he got used to calling him that. Wang Zheng was definitely a genius at homework, and Yan Xiaosu admired him greatly for this. However, he had only just passed his exams not too long ago.

"You wish I'd go missing. I just woke up." After hearing Yan Xiaosu's voice, Wang Zheng felt like he had just heard a goddess of beauty speak.

"Haha, Boss, I have another problem I need your help with. We need five players and I am missing one. I know you're not interested, but today is my promotion match's first round. I spent the last three months trying to get promoted. Xie Yuxin was supposed to help out, but something came up. Can you please give me a hand?"

Yan Xiaosu said tearfully.

Surprisingly, Wang Zheng replied with hesitation. "No problem!"

"Boss, I will love you in this life and the next."

"Scram. Give me five, no, wait ten minutes!"

Wang Zheng went to take a quick shower. He felt like he was so smelly that someone could die from the stench! All of the things he was not interested in before had suddenly become interesting. Granny's leg. Living is awesome!

Brothers Net Café.

This net café was the most popular one near the school. Even their slogan was good. "No brother isn't hot-blooded, and no brother will make it difficult for you to succeed in Wargod's Covenant!"

Even if there were four elites, if there was one weak link, the entire team would be defeated.

1 vs 5?

That was just a legend!

Wargod's Covenant was known as CT. It was the Milky Way Alliance's most popular mecha game. Mecha were mankind's most commonly used equipment when it came down to work or military usage. It was the perfect combination of both biological and mechanical engineering.

Through a tactile interface, a person's actions in the cockpit causes the mech to respond accordingly. Of course, a real mech's physical requirements were much higher. CT does not require such a level of skill; it is easy to control, and if one wants to be an expert at it, they require great battle awareness, skill, and experience.

Chapter 5: Brittleskin

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

When it launched, the Wargod's Covenant galaxy finale gained great popularity in the Milky Way Alliance. Together with numerous young girls' participation, the finale every four years became one of the top ten most viewed programs in the galaxy

It couldn't be helped; young people decided the mainstream culture.

In every battle, based on their performance, the winner is awarded points on a scale of 1 to 10, and the loser receives a deduction of 1 to 5 points. When a player reaches 1,000 points, he or she will be able to fight in the promotion battle. If the battle is a success, he or she will advance to become a bronze player, and at the same time earn the right to compete in the ladder tournament.

Professionally speaking, players who reach this point are finally not beginners anymore.

Players are divided into five levels according to their strength: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond.

The strongest ten diamond players on each planet are known as the kings.

You have to know that even though a planet has only ten of these people, their influence is almost on par with idols and celebrities.

As for Yan Xiaosu, although he was always bragging in front of Wang Zheng, he had in fact not even received the title of inexperienced beginner.

The 1,000 points promotion battle is very important because the moment the player loses, he or she receives a direct deduction of 50 points and will have to re-accumulate that amount again. In order to aboid this, opportunistic people will hire a master for help. The prime example being Yan Xiaosu.

Xie Yuxin was another one of Wang Zheng's and Yan Xiaosu's friends. He was totally different from the both of them. Xie Yuxin had a genetic score of 90, and although his name sounded very feminine, he had a cool and handsome appearance. A lot of people did not understand, how could a person like Xie Yuxin be in the company of people like Wang Zheng and Yan Xiaosu. It simply made him look low-class.

Currently at Brothers Net Cafe.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please wait for a little while. My brothers will be here very soon." Yan Xiaosu was busy apologising.

"Tall-Handsome-Rich, hurry up, we are paying by the minute."

"I understand, thank you very much!"

Yan Xiaosu couldn't afford to be disrespectful, he had gone through a lot of trouble to hire these three bronze level players to help him through this hurdle.

Initially, it was settled that Xie Yuxin was to join in. Apart from being handsome, this guy was also capable. The only reason why he had not gotten promoted was because he played very little.

"It doesn't matter if that person does not know how to play, just let him stay in the base."

"I understand. Don't worry, Sir, I will make it clear to him."

The three people on the video screen nodded. Three bronze level players could easily abuse five beginners.

This difference in strength was like the heavens and the earth.

CT was easy to pick up but difficult to master. It had no physical burden, and to operate it well required one to possess half the capabilities of a formal pilot.

Wang Zheng arrived after a while. He only had some basic understanding regarding CT. Even if one had never tried it before, he or she must have witnessed others play it, Wang Zheng included.

"Boss, you are still the one I can rely on most at times like these. Hurry now, this stage is yours. Go in and register a number; the captain will give his commands soon."

These helpers were very expensive, and they charged by the minute, so Yan Xiaosu didn't dare to delay any further.

Wang Zheng walked into the simulation cockpit. Needless to say, it looked similar. No wonder so many people liked it. He put on the apparatus consisting of a head ring, two wrist and ankle rings, and suddenly a burst of light filled his eyes and then in front of him appeared a lady with unearthly beauty.

CT's game guide. She was very adorable and nice. It was said that a lot of male players were smitten by this beautiful lady.

"Welcome to Wargods Covenant. Please confirm your ID and choose the mech warrior that you need."

In front of Wang Zheng's eyes appeared five shiny mech warriors. He knew that they were not real, but Student Wang was still overwhelmed with awe.

As for the name? Wang Zheng suddenly smiled. I'll call myself Skeleton, then!

Beginner players were provided five types of armor:

Demon Wolf Type V (Assassin)

Beast Type 3 (Tank)

Bata Type 5 (Warrior)

Hunter Type 3 (Sniper)

Wargod No. 1 (Optional Weapons)

The Demon Wolf and Beast were beast-type series. The Demon Wolf was extremely flexible, suitable for hilly and other complex terrain; it was played as an assassin. The Beast was extremely sturdy, specifically used to break fortresses. Bata and the Hunter were humanoid-type mecha. Bata was a balanced warrior and it was also the military's most commonly used training mech. It had already been developed to the current fifth generation. The Hunter was a sniper type, excelling at concealment and sniping from a long distance.

Wargod No.1 was a humanoid mech specially used by novices. There was nothing special about it. It was easily understood by the novices and that was it. The weapons that were available to be chosen from were a titanium knife and laser guns. They were the most common variants used by novices who used them to battle with the computer mecha.

"Get that beginner to choose quickly. Don't waste too much time," a voice said. ID: Mad Warrior. His main account was a bronze grade 2. It was the highest among the three bronze-level players, and his temper was also the worst.

Yan Xiaosu quickly nodded. "Boss, any choice will do; we just need you inside to fill the number of players."

Wang Zheng originally planned to understand more first, but seeing Yan Xiaosu being so anxious, he just chose Wargod No. 1. That name sounded the coolest.

After a flash of light, the five mecha on their team appeared. A small window displayed the information of the other four teammates.

Yan Xiaosu's ID was Tall-Rich-Handsome, unranked, Beast Type-3, a thick skinned, ferocious, assault mech. However, mobility was its weakness. Yet, given Student Yan's cowardly character, this was not surprising.

Wang Zheng was using Xie Yuxin's account. This account's ID was Xie Yuxin. Needless to say given this guy's character of consistency, he ended up using his own name.

The other three players' profile pictures had a bronze light around it. This was a symbol of their identity.

ID: Mad Warrior, Demon Wolf Type V

ID: Just love bullying beginners, Bata Type V

ID: Never Admit Defeat, Hunter Type 3

All three of them were the helpers that Yan Xiaosu hired with money. There was no doubt that their captain was Mad Warrior.

He had already gone through these sorts of promotion battles a few times. Basically, as long as they played it safe, there won't be a problem. The three of them were responsible for doing the fighting, the other two rookies only needed to follow behind to finish up the robots.

But…..all three of them were dumbfounded when they saw Wang Zheng's choice of mech.

"Holy s**t, dude, why is that guy using Brittleskin? He must be crazy!" Mad Warrior said, totally annoyed.

"What is a Brittleskin?" Wang Zheng asked, totally ignoring how angry Mad Warrior was. Wang Zheng was extremely curious. This was the first time that he was in such a situation.

A few people had silent expressions. "From under which rock did you crawl out from? F**k! Later on, while you are inside the fortress, don't come out, don't say anything, just stay inside."

"Tall-Handsome-Rich, the difficulty of survival is high, so double our payment!" Mad Warrior said.

Yan Xiaosu wiped his sweat. "No problem. Thank you, Sirs, I'm really sorry to have troubled you."

Student Yan was too anxious. He had forgotten that Wang Zheng had never touched these kinds of things, so he quickly gave Wang Zheng an explanation on it.

Although the name Wargod No. 1 may have sounded awesome, it had no use in combat. It was not that this mech wasn't good at all; its performance was actually acceptable. Its offensive and defensive capabilities were balanced, but the biggest problem was that the mech had no energy shields and no protective armor. It was equivalent to fighting while totally naked, completely unsuited for brawling. If he was not careful, he would definitely end up as cannon fodder.

In team mode, it was five against five, and each side had a fortress. The forts would regularly produce robots to attack the opposing team. The key to winning was to destroy the other team's fortress.

In free matching, you could invite your friends to help you, but no one knew who their opponents would be; it was entirely up to luck.

The five opponents appeared. Wang Zheng didn't give any crap about the scornful gazes; he couldn't describe his feelings right now. He never would have thought that the game would feel so realistic. No wonder so many people were attracted!

The countdown to the battle began.

Ten…nine…three…two…one.

With a flash of light, everyone entered the battlefield. Everything just felt like reality. His four teammates all prepared to fight, but Wang Zheng, however, was just like an infant.

He dreamt about piloting mecha all the time, but he had never thought that he could fulfil his dream in this way. Wang Zheng carefully took one step out.

Dong…

The absolutely visceral feeling of the mech stepping onto the ground reverberated around him. Wang Zheng looked up to the sky, truly feeling like shouting.

This felt so f**king great! No wonder Yan Xiaosu could be so obsessed!

By now the other four mecha had already marched out. The three bronze players were leading while Yan Xiaosu stayed in the middle to bring up the rear. Yan Xiaosu was also excited.

Only now did they remember that they had forgotten about Wang Zheng.

On the screen, Wang Zheng was moving Wargod No. 1's arm, raising his head, twisting his ankle, slowly taking each step.

Mad Warrior and his friends noticed Wang Zheng's situation too. "Tall-Handsome-Rich, which kindergarten is this lovely baby from?"

Yan Xiaosu held back his anger. He wanted to fight back, but he couldn't offend them, especially because he was an officer from the Hunter Legion.

"Heh, Sir, my bro is here for the first time. Please forgive him."

Those three people had accepted Yan Xiaosu's money, meaning they needed to solve his problem, so they had no right to mad. But in fact, the three of them felt resentment too. If the other beginner had some idea on how to play, he might've been able to help relieve some of the burden. But as it was now, it was equivalent to their team being without fifth player.

The opponents were pushing forward too. Given Yan Xiaosu's experience, the opponents matched against them wouldn't be too unskilled. However, needing to fight against three experienced players, the opponents would likely still have to concede.

Wang Zheng suddenly sped up. The mech shook suddenly and almost toppled over, but inside the cockpit, Wang Zheng bursted out laughing like a child finding his favourite toy.

Even though this wasn't a real mech, Wang Zheng couldn't help but be fascinated.

On the other side, the robots were fighting the cannon fodder from the castle. Their cannons rumbled vigorously and flames spat out in every direction.

In the rear, Wang Zheng was learning to walk just like a toddler.

Wang Zheng didn't follow them forward. Since his task was to stay here, then he would stay here. In the future, if he had more spare time, he would play this. Ever since he had been abused by Skeleton, Wang Zheng had learned to be more relaxed about things. You should just enjoy life while you can.

As they were capturing the middle lane, a big fight broke out in the centre of the battlefield. The communications were blaring with Mad Warrior's reprimands.

"Tsk, there is an expert on that side. Everyone, be careful!"

Mad Warrior was a professional. They had to win. After all, this would affect their reputation, and reputation was important when doing business, because it spreads by word of mouth.

Yan Xiaosu's veins were pumping, they had actually encountered opponents of the same level. This had turned into a hard-fought battle. But he did not believe that the opponents were able to spend as much money him.

Indeed, the opposing team only hired two, but the rest of the players' skills were better than Yan Xiaosu's, and they had more people.

There was chaotic fighting in the middle. Yan Xiaosu's laser gun fired off a fierce shot when the alarm suddenly sounded.

"Tall-Handsome-Rich, retreat quickly! You're out of position," shouted Mad Warrior, but it was too late.

Chapter 6: GODLIKE

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

The Beast was originally a slow mech. Furthermore, in Yan Xiaosu's excitement, he had completely lost himself in the cadence. Suddenly, he had realized that he had wandered alone into the center of the battlefield.

A flurry of beams flashed towards him. F**k!

Mad Warrior did not retreat. At this point, if he were to do so, it would all be over. With Yan Xiaosu as a meat shield, the other three rushed forward to attack. With the three of them fighting, they would be able to destroy the enemy Demon Wolf

Beast Type 3's strong energy shield only lasted for a couple of seconds under the enemy's attacks. After a brief moment, he turned into a fireball.

Tall-Rich-Handsome OVER!

F**k!

Yan Xiaosu angrily struck out. The enemy had destroyed him before retreating quickly. It was very clear that despite Mad Warrior's strong attacks, the enemy Demon Wolf had almost been destroyed. However, under the support of his teammates, the firepower was too strong and the Demon Wolf managed to escape.

This was a huge loss. The battle had turned into a 5 versus 3. Mad Warrior was angry as well. As a bronze player, getting played by newbies made him extremely angry.

"Tall-Rich-Handsome, since you played like that, we can't do anything either. That one behind you isn't very helpful either. It's over," Mad Warrior said.

Yan Xiaosu's fat face leaked a trace of anger and his tone turned sharp. "Boss, don't do this. Even if the situation has turned for the worst, you were bragging so arrogantly just now. Now that at this key moment you even blame my brother, you won't get a cent from me. However, if you win, I will double what I was going to pay you!"

No matter how good-natured he was, Yan Xiaosu could not tolerate that bastard insulting Wang Zheng. It looked like it was all over this time; such a good opportunity was lost, and he did not know when the next time would be.

The power of money was great. The three of them looked at each other. Even though they had created trouble for their client, he would still give them money? Who knew that Yan Xiaosu was so generous? They nodded their heads. With large compensation, they would really have to play properly now.

Never Admit Defeat revealed a grin. "Since our senior here is so generous, we have to show our skills. Old rules. Beat them to death."

Mad Warrior and Just Love Beating Beginners nodded their heads. In the blink of an eye, Never Admit Defeat had become their captain.

Although Mad Warrior had the highest rank among the three of them, Never Admit Defeat was the most skilled. He just did not play enough. The three of them now clearly played at a different levels compared to previously. Yan Xiaosu finally just realized that they had played him for a fool!

Never Admit Defeat went up to the left lane completely alone to bait the enemy. Although he seemed brave, it also showed how much confidence he had in his own skills. Mad Warrior and Just Love Beating Beginners took up the rear.

The intense battle left Yan Xiaosu completely delirious and drunk. On the other hand, Wang Zheng, who was enjoying the feeling of piloting a mech, was also observing the battlefield. A deep sense of anticipation rumbled from within him. Even his hands were shaking.

It had to be said that he was serious now!

People were afraid of getting serious. As a CT expert, once one got serious, they would disregard everything. The three of them were now going to showcase their skills. Although they were outnumbered, they slowly regained the advantage. The enemy Demon Wolf had already been weakened, but in the end it was destroyed.

That shot was extremely beautiful. Even Yan Xiaosu couldn't help but to clap his hands and cheer.

An expert was truly an expert!

Never Admit Defeat's position was exposed. After 10 minutes, both sides were clashing in the middle of the battlefield.

Mad Warrior had been destroyed. Just Love Beating Noobs had also been destroyed. Never Admit Defeat had single handedly destroyed three opponents but ran out of gas at the last moment. Right now, the enemies' Beast Type 3 had rushed into him.

The sniper mech had been cornered by the tank mech. The result was completely miserable.

Both opponents had fought a bloody battle. The Beast Type 3 grabbed the Hunter mech. Boom…

The Hunter mech had its head torn into two by the blade on the Beast mech's head. The opponent cheered as the Beast roared.

At this point in time, Yan Xiaosu was sighing. If they had just fought casually, a loss would not have meant much. However, he had played so seriously and had lost by a hair. Mad Warrior and his friends were angrily slamming against their cockpits.

The Beast mech rushed towards the enemy base. He felt extremely happy. Not far away, he suddenly noticed a target.

The Beast player suddenly jumped up in shock. He thought that he had fallen into a trap, but it turned out to only be a Wargod No. 1. F**k. No wonder he had not come out to fight. There was an idiot who had accidentally picked that mech.

Wang Zheng did not notice when he had walked out of the base. Never Admit Defeat couldn't help but to shout, "Use your laser rifle. There's still a chance. Hit him! KILL HIM!"

Yan Xiaosu was also getting anxious. "Boss, fire your rifle. Aim and fire! Hit him!"

Wang Zheng wanted to fire, but the question in his mind was…

"Gun? Where?"

Anguished wails could be heard. F**k. The Wargod No. 1 was already a bad mech. However, how could one not even know where their equipment was?

Had one ever seen a soldier who forgot to bring their equipment?

Yan Xiaosu knocked his head against the wall… It was over.

The opposing Beast was extremely happy. After playing for so long, this was still the first time he had ever met such a noob. He immediately shouted through the open communication channel, "My little friend on the opposing side, Big brother here is going to give you a good memory of your first game! Haha!"

The Beast suddenly rushed with absolutely shocking speed towards Wang Zheng.

Yan Xiaosu couldn't help but look at the sky and sigh. To be frank, the other three players did not even feel like scolding him. This was the end. They had fallen into an abyss.

They thought that they had clutched a life-saving straw, but it turned out that was just an illusion.

The Wargod No. 1 looked as though it had accepted its fate and stood there blankly.

Brittleskin versus a heavily armoured demonic beast!

Death was the only outcome.

Bang… Bang… Boom! Flowers of fire erupted in every direction!

The entire room was silent. The computer's voice echoed out:

Ironhearted Mad Warrior, OVER!

Team Destroyed!

Red Team WIN!

In this brief moment, the opponent started to celebrate. Then they suddenly stopped, shocked as they could not believe their eyes.

Wait, what? Red Team won?

F**k, was there something wrong?!

Did the system mess up?

At that moment, the only mech standing on the battlefield was the Wargod No. 1. The Beast Type 3 had been destroyed.

Wang Zheng closed his two eyes as he re-experienced the adrenaline rush. Suddenly, his eyes flashed open and flared with excitement.

GOD!

The last kill was replayed slowly.

The Beast mech had rushed over. However, Wang Zheng was so excited that his trembling hands had suddenly become icy cold. The Wargod No. 1 tilted 45 degrees to the side and upon being struck, was pushed back 45 meters. However, what was surprising was that the attack had been blocked! What was more amazing was that at that moment, taking advantage of the momentum, the huge Beast Type 3 had been thrown into the sky and landed upside down!

The Beast mech's head had landed a large rock, collapsing inwards and becoming warped before finally exploding.

A completely unarmed Wargod No. 1 remained!

"F**k, f**k, f**k. Did you see that? That was an expert. All of you have fallen for a scam! Your entire family is a scam!

The opponents on the other team immediately logged off. They could not tarry any longer. Their fully equipped Beat had been destroyed by an unarmed Brittleskin. This was extremely humiliating.

The three bronze players also had nothing much to brag about. The entire group of them also went offline.

Leaving Brother's Net Café, Yan Xiaosu could not control his excitement. He was even happier about this than the fact that he was promoted to bronze rank.

"Boss, your luck is just too good. As I was saying, the seasons will change accordingly! It is time for you to shine!" Yan Xiaosu was not a newbie. The Brittleskin being able to block the Beast's attack, if not for luck, what else could it have been?

Wang Zheng gave him a slight smile. Deep down he was not as calm as he had looked. At that moment in time, Wang Zheng felt truly alive; it was as though a door had opened in front of him.

This was what it meant to battle!

At this point in time, Wang Zheng began to anticipate going back to the Rubik's Cube. If this was only the first phase of training, what would the latter stages bring?

Originally, Yan Xiaosu was planning to bring Wang Zheng out for dinner. However, his dad had sent an explosive Skylink message asking Xiaosu to go back. That brat had actually used his school fees to hire the players just now. It made his dad so angry that he was going to explode.

After arriving home, Wang Zheng took off his clothes. He examined the Rubik's Cube tattoo on his chest carefully. At that moment after the battle, the Rubik's Cube tattoo had heated up. After thinking about it, Wang Zheng figured that this must have been that so-called Battle Energy. Bonehead had once said that battle energy was battle comprehension. Technology was a non-living thing, so in order to fully integrate the lessons he learned, it required one to engage in real battles. This was the only way to create a battle system that fit the individual. This was the Rubik's Cube's Battle Energy!

Every single Super Soldier was unique and unbeatable.

Wang Zheng carefully examined the Rubik's Cube tattoo. In the centre of the thin, white outline was a small red dot. This was Battle Energy!

He could not participate in military battles and could not join the underworld to engage in street fights, so CT was the only way he could temper himself.

He would not need to be destroyed! Wang Zheng could not help but whistle a happy tune!

When there is a will, there is a way!

At Dawn Middle School.

During the last period of time before graduation, only those who were planning to enter Ares Military College were worried about their entrance examinations. A majority of the individuals were currently enjoying the last period of their middle school lives.

Wang Zheng had become famous due to the previous incident. On the road there, Yan Xiaosu was constantly happily greeting people.

"Boss, am I extremely handsome today? Why are there so many people looking at us?"

Yan Xiaosu did not realize what was going on. Wang Zheng gave him a bitter smile. This was basically all his fault. Wang Zheng was just helping Xiaosu clean his ass.

At this time, two girls walked over. They looked as though they were waiting for them. It was Dawn Middle School's two famous individuals, Yue Jing and Ye Zisu. The two girls had dressed up carefully, and their spotless white skin did not require much makeup. However, their exquisite jewelry only made them look even more beautiful. In addition to their specially tailored uniforms, it made the two of them look absolutely stunning. Their surrounding fans were absolutely smitten by them.

"Student Wang, my birthday is this weekend. Are you free on that day?" Yue Jing asked, with a warm smile. It was as though a hundred flowers were blooming. Yan Xiaosu, who was standing at the side, was absolutely dazed. He had never, ever seen Yue Jing speak so warmly.

"I am not…" Wang Zheng did not feel any attraction towards such an individual. However, Yan Xiaosu, who was standing at the side, couldn't help but reply for him. "Yes. Definitely free. Being able to attend Student Yue Jing's birthday celebration is my honor!"

Yan Xiaosu had immediately invited himself along with Wang Zheng.

"Haha, You must be student Yan Xiaosu. You are indeed quite cute, " Ye Zisu said.

Yan Xiaosu felt as though he was floating in the clouds. He stuck his chest out. After growing up for so long, he had finally become a man!

The students around them were absolutely shocked. What was going on? How did these two have the qualifications to attend these goddess' birthday parties?

Chapter 7: Xiao Shi

It is said that in addition to Dawn's elites, there were Ares College seniors participating too. This was a great opportunity.

But why would she invite those two guys?

"Well, I look forward to your attendance. I will send you the invitation later."

Yue Jing's and Ye Zisu's attitudes were surprisingly good today. It was the first time Yan Xiaosu was in such close proximity with the person he admired; this made him so happy he had long forgotten his own surname.

"Boss, tell me, what were my chances?"

Wang Zheng shrugged. The two girls were devilish, so Yan Xiaosu would not even be able to keep his bones if he fell into their grasps. But what could he say?

Miracles could happen, and perhaps he would be lucky.

In the distance, Yue Jing and Ye Zisu were also laughing very happily. "Those two fools must be very happy and very surprised."

"When that day comes, they will be even more surprised!" Yue Jing said coldly.

She heard from Ye Zisu how Wang Zheng was totally unfazed after their run-in, and because of her high self-esteem, she needed to let the idiot know the meaning of what was unattainable!

It was a sin for a lazy toad to lust over the meat of a swan. And it was even more of a sin for a lazy toad to ignore a swan!

The classroom basically turned into a tea party with everyone talking about their dreams and the future, and those who knew what they wanted to do were in high spirits. Yan Xiaosu could finally sleep quickly and smoothly without the teachers stopping him. Wang Zheng, on the other hand, was still pondering about his future.

Military college was out of the question because his genes did not even make the entrance requirement. He could only wait for the public enlistment drive of the military three months from now and thus, surviving these three months would be his priority. Now that he had pretty much graduated, apart from waiting to receive his diploma, it was high time to consider the future.

Wang Zhang opened his Skylink. There were many job vacancies nearby, but most of them required work experience, a minimum age of 20, and academic qualifications higher than middle school. Wang Zheng felt slightly depressed. Will he have to starve to death?

After school, Wang Zheng began his job hunt, but he found the search awkward. He was not good enough for a high post but too proud to take a low one. However, Together Duck Restaurant's opening for back kitchen workers could do.

Standing in front of the restaurant, Wang Zheng adjusted his look and put on a smile, a kind and sincere smile. A menial job shouldn't need technical skills.

Just as he was about to open the door, the door opened on its own. Were they so accommodating?

A figure came rushing towards Wang Zheng, and he dodged it almost instinctively.

"Help, baddies are chasing me!"

A pair of white jade hands suddenly grabbed the arms of Wang Zheng. Her cap was slightly raised, revealing a dirty little face.

Alas, it was a chance meeting.

Two waiters in black suits came rushing behind her, one of them bursting in foul language. "You little bastard, since you dared to eat the Tyrannical King's Meal, you are courting death if you don't pay up! Pay up, or we'll beat the both of you."

Truthfully, Wang Zheng really wanted to just forget about this situation and leave. But somehow, those pitiful eyes instantly made him soft-hearted. He was not sure how Bonehead would judge him if he saw this.

"How much money does she owe?" Wang Zheng asked concisely. A meal here should only cost ten dollars or so. Why would violence be necessary?

"Very well, 530 dollars. I'll give you a discount, so 500 dollars will do."

"Don't pull my leg. This place only costs 100 or so at most!" Wang Zheng said in shock.

"Nonsense, this girl came in and ordered every dish!"

Student Wang learned a new lesson: don't play the hero if you're broke!

"I only have 300 dollars on me. Take it, or let's have the cops settle this."

Wang Zheng shrugged his shoulders like a hoodlum. "Or you could give me a beating too."

Although he was feeling slightly depressed, not going all the way was not Wang Zheng's style.

Both waiters were stunned for a moment, then they gazed at Wang Zheng's 300 dollars and grabbed it. "You two little bastards, scram!"

A punch came towards Wang Zheng.

Bang!

The waiter immediately clutched his hand and jumped backwards. Wang Zheng touched his own face and instantly took back a note from the 300 dollars. "One shot for a hundred, but if you're not satisfied, you can try again."

If anyone slaps you on the left cheek, turn to them the other cheek. A hundred dollars was enough to last a few days.

Both waiters looked at each other. One's hand was already swollen. They then looked fiercely at Wang Zheng and ran away.

Wang Zheng shrugged helplessly. Looks like he could not apply at this place anymore. Why was it so hard to find a job this year?

The girl followed him.

Wang Zheng stopped and turned around. The girl stopped as well and raised her head, showing those pitiful eyes again.

D**n, Wang Zheng was just about to roar in anger, but he swallowed it. This dirty girl's eyes had a strange kind of power.

"Classmate, we are both the world's scum, so there's no need to thank me and no need to follow me. Honestly, I am a pauper, and that was everything I had to my name. My next meal is not certain either. I may just need to have the 'King Meal' like you did."

Wang Zheng turned to leave after saying that. He had to find a job, and this was no joking matter. Even King Kong would turn to soft candy without food.

However, the girl followed him again.

"Little girl, if you keep following me I will have to punch you!"

The dirty girl in front of him actually looked about his age. She was wearing obviously unsuitable sportswear, and her pitiful expression made her look a little younger.

In that moment, the girl's tears started falling. Wang Zheng had lost himself in the moment, and he felt really ashamed about it. How could he raise his voice at a girl?

"Sorry, little … cough … my name is Wang Zheng, what's yours?" Suddenly, Wang Zheng realised that the girl was about his age and was not someone he should call "little girl."

While crying, the girl said, "I don't know. I can't remember anything."

Wang Zheng felt a little dizzy. Not only did he not find a job, he actually found a burden.

Wang Zheng brought "Xiao Shi" back home. Xiao Shi was the nickname Wang Zheng gave her, a homonym for amnesia. Fortunately, there was some food left at home. Wang Zheng rummaged through and after almost overturning his entire house, he finally found 80 more dollars. He now had 180 dollars. The day was not too bad.

Xiao Shi became peaceful upon reaching Wang Zheng's house. She was clearly not as frightened as she was before.

"Xiao Shi, go wash up. I'll prepare a little something to eat." He had to say, this little girl had an odour that would even disappoint the hippies.

After a day of struggle, the sky had turned dark. Wang Zheng was famished right now.

Instant noodles and cola made for a pretty good meal.

The sound of running water in the bathroom stopped and then Xiao Shi emerged from it, casually wearing Wang Zheng's t-shirt. "Sorry, I could only find this."

"Wear anything. Tomorrow I'll bring you … …"

Forgiveness was Student Wang's strength, but he lost his concentration for a brief moment. Incredible. It seemed like a change of luck to randomly pick up a little fairy.

She had long, lavender, gently-curled hair, yet he was not sure how it was done. It looked rather natural. Her skin was like white jade, smooth and shiny. Frankly, Wang Zheng had never seen a girl this pretty. Most importantly, this girl had a pair of star-like eyes, clear as crystal. Ye Zisu was a sweet potato compared to her and her aura. Her body just exuded a sense of freshness.

"Incredible, Xiao Shi is so pretty. She could probably fetch a good price!" Wang Zheng tugged at his finger.

Xiao Shi was shocked. "Brother Zheng, don't sell me! I have strength! I can do a lot of work."

"I am just kidding." Wang Zheng found himself feeling mean, bullying a girl with amnesia.

At this time, Wang Zheng noticed that Xiao Shi was only wearing his shirt, which barely covered her buttocks. Those slender and straight legs were truly a work of art.

From top to bottom, every part of her was perfect. This type of person simply shouldn't exist.

F**k, this girl suddenly didn't seem so small anymore.

"Do I look weird like this?" Xiao Shi tugged downwards at the t-shirt. This action had an even stronger effect on Wang Zheng's impulses.

"Cough, cough. Xiao Shi, tomorrow I'll bring you to the Skylink Public Service System to find out who you are and then send you home. Just stay here for tonight."

Wang Zheng focused his attention on his noodles. D**n it, those two years of training his determination were gone in a moment.

"Thanks, Brother."

Xiao Shi's voice was also beautiful and gentle, as if it could pass straight through the heart.

Wang Zheng finished his noodles swiftly and cleanly and burped without a care for his image. Life was to eat, drink, and sleep. It was enjoyable. Wang Zheng was someone who faced his difficulties with a calm mindset.

"I'll sleep on the sofa, you sleep inside." Wang Zheng tossed his shoes aside and stretched his legs out comfortably. Sleeping was a very blissful activity to him.

While he was in the Rubik's Cube, even sleeping was a nightmare. A simple life now felt like heaven in comparison.

About three seconds later, Xiao Shi heard Wang Zheng's snores. Whoa …

Wang Zheng's room was not messy at all, but only because there weren't many things. Lying in bed, Xiao Shi suddenly saw a glimmer of hope. The snores outside were really carefree. Xiao Shi could not help but smile a little. Such a fool really existed.

Although this sleep was on an uncomfortable bed, Xiao Shi was in good spirits.

When morning broke, Wang Zheng went out for morning exercises. Bonehead once said that in order to become a super fighter, one has to train the internal and external. Gongfa was internal strength, muscles and endurance were external strength. Both aspects had to work in harmony to achieve an optimal effect, so physical fitness needed to be maintained. Yesterday's sleep was very satisfying, and the house now felt more homely with the sudden addition of a girl.

Not long after bringing the breakfast in, the doorbell started ringing frantically. "Boss, open the door!"

Opening the door, Yan Xiaosu looked completely fine. "Not bad, still in one piece. Your dad let you off so easily?" Wang Zheng ridiculed.

"Shit, my buttocks are already flowering. But with Tall-Rich-Handsome's gift of the gab, I managed to survive the storm!"

"Oh, what reason did you give this time?" Wang Zheng was rather curious. Yan Xiaosu was quite good at persuasion.

"It was for the birthday of the goddess, of course! I said that we can't forget the Yan family's standing. We are, after all, of some standing."

Yan Xiaosu held his belly and laughed. "Boss is the best. Attending the birthday of a daughter of a politician was his weakness! I've done ample preparation this time. Obtaining Ye Zisu will set me for life. Isn't it about time you found a target? Machines can't be wives, and we're about to graduate. You're still a virgin, too. That's embarrassing!"

"Brother Zheng, is there a guest?" A crisp voice arose. Wang Zheng had totally forgotten.

At this moment, Yan Xiaosu was stunned, drooling uncontrollably as he gazed at Xiao Shi.

Student Yan held Wang Zheng's hands passionately. "Brother, please introduce this beauty in front of my eyes to your beloved little brother. She is … ?"
