Chapter 371: Zerg Nest

Wang Zheng smiled. "Masasi said it correctly. Let's do this. Raston and I will walk in front, while Zhang Shan and Zhang Runan protect the flanks. Meng Tian, you're the only one capable of scouting. Other than reconnaissance, pay attention to the environment. In particular, be careful of the traces of acid emitted by the Zerg. Once you encounter it, we have to take a detour. Luo Fei, Lie Guang, and Taros, you three stay at the back and pay attention to the surroundings. Do not be careless just because we have already walked past. If we encounter any Zerg and are unable to escape, I will first go to block them, and will Raston support me. Zhang Shan, you and Zhang Runan protect the flanks, but do not engage. Your responsibility is to stabilize the formation. Masasi, Lear, and Lie Xin, you are responsible for the offense. Achilles will be in reserve, responsible for any emergency situations.

The crowd nodded and was apparently very satisfied. Achilles could be relied on as his strength and insight were the best, and he was clearly fit for this position.

Zhang Shan grinned. Wang Zheng was indeed a good guy. Everybody knew that in this situation, defense would be dangerous, while offense would be rather comfortable. Achilles' position should've been given to Wang Zheng, but since Wang Zheng had already said so, he could only accept it.

After completing their starting preparations and familiarizing themselves according to the arrangement of Wang Zheng, the Solar System team entered the dark forest.

At this moment, in the orbit of the A9 planet, there was a huge mothership that was orbiting around it.

In the mothership's main control room, the area above the big screen was showing the area map centered on the A9 planet base. At the outermost edge, 128 light spots were gently and steadily shining.

The IG Arbitration Commission were all paying attention to the status of these spots.

"Atlantis' team has not yet moved and is still resting in the landing area."

"Aslan's team has already broken through the peripheral Zerg area and have begun to enter the danger zone."

128 staff members reported the situation of each team at any given time. In addition, there were 12 arbitrators who dealt with the relevant intelligence.

"Although it shouldn't happen yet, prepare the fighter planes for the rescue…"

"The Arbiter team is approaching the Desol Star Alliance. The two teams are three kilometers apart, and we have analyzed and judged that the Arbiter team already knows the position of the Desol Star Alliance," the staff responsible for the movement of the Arbiter team suddenly called out.

"The old habit of the Arbiter Empire has once again surfaced here. They destroy their opponents in advance and grab all the resources at the same time. However, this time, the Desol Star Alliance members all have Ability X users with considerable strength. Do they still want a fight? Switch over to that screen."

Whoosh… the screen that was a part of the big screen replaced the original global map.

In the image, it was clear that the Arbiter team had formed a formation and surrounded the team of the Desol Star Alliance, who knew nothing about it.

In the image, the Desol Star Alliance team was careful, but their reconnaissance defensive circle was only 200 meters wide. In their view, as all their members were Ability X users, 200 meters was enough distance for them to respond sufficiently.

However, what they were defending against was only the Zerg.

They did not include other humans in the enemy category.

The Arbiters launched an assault. Two figures rushed out of their team like two arrows toward the Desol Star Alliance.

"Only two people moved?"

"Aren't they too arrogant? The Desol Star Alliance is ambitious this time, and the 12 players are all good Ability X users. Two on 12?"

In the mothership's main control room, many staff members frowned. While the Arbiters were strong, they should only be strong within reason. In the face of the elites with the 12 Ability X users, only two people were dispatched. This was not strength, but arrogance. In IG, arrogance would lead to death.

In the images shown on the screens, the fighting began rapidly. The Desol Star Alliance got into defensive positions immediately after sensing someone entering the 200-meter defensive circle. It could be seen on the screen that the Desol Star Alliance team was talking to the Arbiter team.

"Our remote fighter has received a regional audio file. Should we play it?"

"Play."

After a series of static noises, a voice could finally be heard.

"…??????,????????…"

"…We are not the enemy, this can all be avoided….."

The Desol Star Alliance team did not intend to start fighting immediately.

"Damn, prepare the laser weapons…"

"However, once we start firing, it will be the end!"

"Stop hesitating! The bloody Arbiters are like mad dogs. If we let them come close, it won't be the end, it will be our end! Fire!"

Boom…

At this moment, the screen went black.

"What happened?!"

"A change in the magnetic field, signal interference. We expect to recover satellite signals after ten seconds."

Ten, nine... three, two, one… Bzzt, the screen went up again, but with a significant difference. It could clearly be seen that the captain of the Desol Star Alliance had activated his energy shield.

Just over a minute, and the whole team was comprised of Ability X users. The powerful Desol Star Alliance team was actually beaten by two Arbiter players. The two Arbiters had even snatched the bracelet of the Desol Star Alliance team's captain!

This was the real objective of the Arbiters. In the event of danger, they could use the bracelet of their opponents to get another chance at rescue…. This was indeed a malicious plot, but the reactions of the Desol Star Alliance team was a beat too slow. However, they could not be blamed. The captain was the first to be struck, and the others were knocked down to the ground, their injuries rather severe.

The control room of the entire mothership was silent. This year's Arbiter team was even more aggressive, more powerful, and more terrifying than ever.

"Send out the fighter planes, and include the Desol Star Alliance team in the list of the eliminated teams."

The adjudication team made a decision.

The staff member responsible for Arbiter's information raised his hand and said, "Should we restore the video of the battle…"

"It's not necessary. The result has been revealed. Remember, we are only responsible for a fair decision. All data must be kept confidential. If any news spreads, everyone, including me, will be implicated. There must not be any rumors." The cold eyes of the arbitration team's leader swept over everyone.

The brutal competition continued in the area. There were also many teams colliding with each other. Most of them did not interfere with each other, each preferring to take separate routes, while there were also a small number of teams that cooperated with each other. The task of this competition was to pass through the Zerg war zone to reach the planet base; it did not forbid any unity between the teams. Of course, the premise of the alliance was trust. An alliance without trust was worse than each team marching alone. Before participating in the IG, everyone had already understood the truth. There were not only teammates, but also enemies here.

Wang Zheng and his entourage were very successful, and did not encounter other teams. Due to their reconnaissance, they also did not encounter a large number of Zerg.

"There are 16 bone spur Zerg 500 meters forward, and a large number of sickle-type Zerglings. There are also traces of corrosion,"

Meng Tian, who was wearing the surveillance helmet, quietly said.

Lie Xin started frowning and asked, "Sickle Zerglings? Is there a nest around?"

The corrosion worm was a type of Zerg that did not have combat potential; they were at bottom of the hierarchy. In human terms, they were the slaves, responsible for the maintenance of the nest in the general location. This meant that the underground was not safe!

"Nothing was found." Meng Tian continued to scout for a moment and shook her head.

"Should we break through, or take a detour?" Zhang Shan looked at Wang Zhang. They had walked for at least three hours, and other than a single encounter with the Zerg, all of it was basically detouring. Although the speed had not been slow, Zhang Shan was a little fed up with the pace.

Wang Zheng's eyes flashed for a moment, and he thought of a possibility. "The presence of corrosion worms… everyone, pay attention to any movements under your feet."

After a moment, Meng Tian nodded. "A slight earthquake was found. It was a tunnel excavation. However, it was not too large. Judging by the size, there are not too many Zerg."

"Is there a route that we could detour to?

Wang Zheng nodded. If there wasn't a need, they did not have to stir up the nest.

"There's no path in front, we have to first retreat…"

Meng Tian had not even finished speaking when Luo Fei, who was in charge of the rear, shouted out a warning. "Bone spur Zergling found behind us! More than 20 of them are rushing toward us!"

Wang Zheng's eyes flashed for a moment and he said, "Prepare for battle."

Zhang Shan clenched his titanium shield. He had a look of excitement on his face due to finally having a chance to show off his talent with this large number of bugs.

All the people present had actual combat experience. This time, the insects responded much faster than the ones they encountered in Demon Island. Wang Zhen could feel the bloody odor in the air, and his feelings had never been wrong.

It did not take long for the shuffling noises to reach them… The Zerg were here!

Rumble…

The roars under the ground continued, and a huge bone spur Zerg broke through the ground and circled the group, shadows flashing throughout the dark forest.

When the bones closed in on them, they could only scatter. At this moment, their formation was temporarily disrupted, and they hurriedly avoided the spears that were flying towards them.

And the shadows in the woods rushed out towards them.

A full barrage of the lasers was deployed, stirring up the dirt on the ground. A gigantic bone spur Zerg had broken through, its body resembling a hedgehog. It let out a loud roar. One by one, countless bugs appeared from within the shadows and began to snipe away at them, firing bone spikes from afar.

"Taros, Luo Fei, you guys deal with the bone spur Zerglings!" While his voice rang out, Wang Zhang rushed towards the giant Zerg and started bombarding its eyes with laser fire. However, those eyes were covered by a transparent film, and the laser weaponry was unable to inflict any damage. Rather, it had enraged the gigantic Zerg, and the rest of the team had been dragged into the melee.

If they rushed in there, it would definitely be even more dangerous. Taros and Luo Fei were conflicted for a moment when Lear burst into a shout. "Move quickly or you will all die!"

Without mentioning Lear, Achilles and the rest had already participated in this type of combat and had already noticed the dangers present. This was not on the same level as Demon Island. These Zerglings' fighting power was completely in another dimension.

The lasers were not able to damage it, and the giant Zergling was able to dodge the hits. This had indicated that the level of intelligence was rather high. When they were talking, Wang Zheng had already rushed in, and he was falling from the sky, his titanium blade thrusting towards its skull.

However, the bone spur Zergling turned around flexibly, and, with the intent to kill, rushed towards Wang Zheng, causing him to be able to only retreat.

Chapter 372: Dreams vs Truth

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

It was a totally different feeling. On Demon Island, those bugs, other than looking ferocious, were actually rather easy to take care of. But this group of bugs…

The team's initial thoughts were particularly naive. Now they could only rely on the terrain to resist, and they were unable to withdraw. Once they ceded the offensive, they would then truly become the prey of the insects.

Taros and Luo Fei stepped forward. One excelled at speed, while the other was good at sneak attacks. They were extremely effective at dealing with the hiding bone spur zerg. This was crucial as the hiding Zerg were suppressing the team.

Taros did not dare to tary, and started moving at full speed. Within a moment, six bone spur zerglings had died under his blades. Without a doubt, once he was in the shadows, a feeling of excitement had risen within his heart. At this point, Luo Fei had also disappeared. He was still present, but his breathing had all but vanished. If you swept past the area with your eyes, you would only see an illusion that blended into the surroundings. His fat body moved through the undergrowth noiselessly, and not a single bug had noticed anything amiss. The practical abilities of this two people had also let the others in the team breathe a sigh of awe.

Lear and Wang Zheng continued to fight the giant zerg. However, this fellow was slippery as hell, and its sharp spurs and swift attacks repeatedly repelled both their attacks.

When fighting against the Zerg, one had to thoroughly kill them off. If they were only left half dead, they could still retaliate!

From the beginning of the panic to the present situation, Lie Xin and Lie Guang had been fighting as a team. Both of them seemed as if they were on edge, with their Ability Xs fully activated. Although normal Ability Xs were not able to scare off the Zerg, as well as normal fires, Lie Xin and Lie Guang's flames had an entirely different nature, something which even the fearless insects were frightened of. It was precisely this advantage that gave the Solar System squad precious time to regroup.

The titanium blades that had been enchanted by the flames were surprisingly able to cut into the zerglings' bodies. Although Lie Xin and Lie Guang had wanted to help Wang Zheng out, they had been thoroughly surrounded by zerglings, which had managed to split up the battlefield.

Although she did not have a spear, Zhang Runan was still as ferocious with a titanium blade. She and Raston formed a steel line of defense, which gave Lie Xin and Lie Guang a chance to attack. Unconsciously, they had divided themselves into an offensive and defensive team.

Only Meng Tian's laser rifle was more useful. Although her Ability X. which could freeze. was not lethal, it was able to slow down the attacks of the Zerg for three to four seconds repeatedly, which was a big help to everyone.

In the midst of the exchange, Wang Zheng exclaimed, "Lear, such a stalemate will not do; it will only attract more bugs. I'll try to draw his attention, you attack!"

Lear nodded. "Do it now!"

Wang Zheng shouted loudly and directly assaulted the bone spur zerg leader from the front. Numerous sharp spears rushed towards Wang Zheng. If it was somebody else, he would already have been pierced. However, Wang Zheng's footsteps quickened at this crucial moment, and he managed to narrowly dodge all of them.

Against such bugs, humanity had to use mecha to solve the problem. Who would have thought that the IG would instead make them fight it out with their real bodies? This was too insane!

In the IG competition, there were only strong competitors and weaklings. In front of the strong, enemies did not last long.

The Solar System team's battle was in full swing on this side. For other battlefields, the situation was different. The Ghana Star team and their battlefield were in a mess, with insect corpses everywhere. All twelve players slowly stood up, their faces carrying excited expressions, as if they had not slaughtered enough, with a mad glint in their eyes.

The Aslan team had gone deeper and deeper, having escaped the encirclement of the insects on all three occasions.

Atlantis… The heck, were they going to fly directly to the destination???

The twelve players of the Atlantis team, although starting relatively late, were already in the second position, second only to the Aslan team. If they could maintain their speed, they would probably not face any obstacles, as apart from them, nobody else was able to fly…

Atlantis' dominating spiritual power could be used not only to control the runes on their mecha, but also to float…

Damn, everybody just got angrier and angrier when they were compared to them.

Boom…

Finally, Wang Zheng was no longer able to avoid one of the bone spears. Using his blade to guard his front, he was struck directly and was knocked backwards. However, this was also a chance for Lear to attack.

Lear bolted forward, slashing into the neck of the Zerg, the only unprotected part on its body. Seeing that he was about to enter, who would have thought that a row of bone spurs would surface from the ridges around its neck, as if they were snarling at Lear?

Lear's eyes grew solemn, and his killing intent exploded out. A sudden roar sounded out, and the movement of the bone spur zergling leader changed. Crucially, Meng Tian, who was at the edge of the battlefield, sniped a freezing shot at it, managing to gain a second of time. However, this was sufficient for Lear. The titanium blade was thrust directly into the neck, twisted, and swung from the left to the top, and then down.

Green blood splattered from the sky, followed by a body crashing down. With a weight of more than a thousand kilograms, boom…

Its body that had been split apart came tumbling down directly, its huge frame flattening more than a dozen nearby zerglings.

When the leader fell, the Solar System team all had a boost in morale, and under Lie Xin's directions, fought back even more fiercely. Needless to say, the whole Solar System team were still capable of fighting. There were people like Zhang Runan and Raston, who were adept at defending, as well as Lie Xin and Lie Guang, who could pinpoint the enemy's weaknesses. This was definitely good news as the flames were capable of exterminating the rest of the bugs and could easily penetrate their thick shells. Additionally, it was able to instill a sense of fear in the Zerg. Luo Fei and Taros had also emerged from the woods, and the situation seemed to be under control. The coordination between Achilles and Masasi was extremely good as well, with both of them supplementing each other in the fight; they were able to prevent any injuries from occurring. The loudest, yet the most useless member of the team, was Zhang Shan. Although he had taken up the role of defending, his defensive skills were still very different from those of Zhang Runan and Raston. After being hit by the bugs twice, his legs had already gone numb. If one was not a strength-based Ability X user, it was indeed frustrating to go up against the Zerg. Zhang Shan's movement abilities were useless when facing these bugs, and he currently was wishing that he could use the shotguns on his mech. Meng Tian's freezing abilities had played a large role this fight. Although it was not able to harm the bugs directly, her shots were fast and accurate. Crucially, it was able to stall the bugs for a time, which was extremely useful.

Inadvertently, the team had reached a tacit understanding, killing the zergling leader and sweeping away the obstacles. They did not dare to tarry further and immediately left the battlefield. If there were lured into the trap right at the start of the round, there would be no hope left for later.

After the bugs that were pursuing after them were killed off by Taros, who was responsible for the rear, they had finally shaken off the remaining bugs. Then they swiftly resumed towards their destination. Only, there was not a trace of a relaxed expression on their faces. This fight had led them to understand the severity of the situation. Without mentioning the difficulty in reaching the destination, it was a problem to even get there in one piece.

Only a single battle was needed to wake the Solar System squad up from their fantasies. This was the Milky Way's IG competition, not a private game. The real Zerg were not as fragile as they believed, and they also did not have the assistance of their mecha. Solely relying on the physical bodies was simply a joke. Perhaps they could win a few small-scale battles, but the price they would have to pay would be huge. Once their Ability Xs were used, it would take a significant amount of time to regenerate, no matter if it was Zhang Shan's explosive type, or Meng Tian's supportive one. The only bright spot was abilities like Lie Xin's. The Lie family's spiritual ability truly lived up to its name. Their capability to endure using their Ability X was indeed a notch above the rest.

In fact, even Lie Xin and Lie Guang were surprised, as in the past, their flames had never been that easy to use. It was obvious that its lethality had increased, and the attachment effects of the soul flames had evidently improved. The daily improvements were not something they could detect, but it could clearly be seen during combat.

Although there was not much communication between Lie Xin and Lie Guang, they could see the surprise in each other's' eyes. Had the effectiveness of their exercises been enhanced?

The decline of the Solar System in the early days was also related to the failure of the training methods. The originally strong training programs had, over the years, transformed into simply aerobic exercises, which also led directly to the disappearance of many families. Although the Lie family still remained, their standing within the Solar System had been lost.

In fact, it was not only Lie Xin and Lie Guang, but even Lear had the same feeling. From the start of the IG selection tests for the Solar System, he had felt his own strength increasing, and it had exceeded his expectations. Yet he was unable to discern where his increase had come from.

This was also the basis of his confidence in this Milky Way's IG competition. Watching the performance of Lie Xin and Lie Guang, Lear had already made a conclusion in his heart. The effectiveness of the training programs had been increasing. However, he had hidden the change rather well, and was only willing to show it off in times of need.

Achilles was unable to notice any difference, and did not have any opinions regarding Lie Xin and Lie Guang's performance.

Except, the light in his eyes steadily grew strong. The revival of the Solar System was in progress.

And it was not only just himself!

Taros and Luo Fei took on the role of scouts and left to investigate the surroundings, allowing the squad to avoid as many Zerg nests as possible. The single worms that they encountered were killed off immediately, not giving them a chance to report the situation.

The deeper they went, the more traces of the Zerg they saw, and their tracks were also larger. What was the military thinking, preserving a planet with such a large Zerg colony?

Mankind was a strong and confident race. When they won the extermination against the bugs in the past, mankind had begun to study the Zerg, Their methods got bolder and bolder, as they had nothing to fear with their current military strength, at least within the Milky Way. Humans were unstoppable, and perhaps the only thing that could stop them was an internal conflict.

The stronger they were, the greater the desire for power. It was the same for both the country, as well as the individual.

The experience of Demon Island provided a good experience for the group. For two days in a row, the Solar System team evaded further battles and maintained a good speed, while also avoiding the teams of other countries as far as possible.

Originally, everyone had the intention of cooperating, but a sentence from Lear shut them up. Simply because the rescue bracelet was a life-saver, and no one would willingly use their own. That directly meant disqualification, and they might as well just kill themselves. However, if you were able to use the bracelets from other teams, not only could you protect your lives, but could also remove a competitor, killing two birds with one stone. Solely based on this point, the other teams were more dreadful than the insects.

Needless to say, Lear's words had dashed any hope of cooperation in the team's minds. While the others had not realized this issue earlier, they could not help but ponder when Lear had this thought.

Chapter 373: The Benevolence of Women

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

Needless to say, Lear initially had the intention to cooperate with other teams, but after assessing the strength of the Solar System team, he concluded that they did not have the strength to do so.

If they did not carry out the deed, it did not imply that others would follow their decision. The teams from Arbiter, Manalasuo, and other countries all had already acted. The Manalasuo team was even crueler than the Arbiters, having snatched the bracelets of two teams before moving towards the destination, obviously being rather experienced in the act. In fact, some of the newcomers had never dreamed that they would be mercilessly backstabbed by their 'own guys'.

Within the area of the Milky Way, there were numerous ethnicities and minorities, and every countries' laws were different. As long as it was allowed under the Milky Way Charter, they were able to make their own rules. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. There were some civilized countries like Atlantis, and also other brutal ones like Ghana. Additionally, slavery and slave trafficking could still be found on most planets. While the Milky Way Alliance had always wanted to put an end to it, they could only guarantee the basic rights of slaves, unable to take any further actions.

This was the compromise reached by the entire Milky Way Alliance to maintain the peace. After all, the duration of the galactic alliance had not existed for a long period. It would still take a long time for human interplanetary navigation to reach a relatively stable stage of perfection. During this period, it was no surprise that the superpowers would create laws that were advantageous for them.

Some people have said that political struggle was the most interesting art form produced by the human race.

Everything was going well, but an accident still happened. Taros and Luo Fei, who were on the frontline as scouts, screamed at almost the same time. The crowd rushed over and found that the two had collapsed on the ground.

"Don't… come here!" Luo Fei shouted in agony.

"Help me!" Taros tried to beckon towards them, but he just collapsed on the ground.

Wang Zheng quickly motioned everyone to stop moving forward. His eyes quickly swept the surroundings, but there were no bugs to be seen. Here… the plants seemed to be different from the rest, slightly thicker and heavier.

Wang Zheng slowly extended his hand, and instantly his arm trembled… A gravitational field!

Gingerly, he stepped into the field, and couldn't help but frown. This was about ten times more than the standard gravity. Taros and Luo Fei must have rushed in, and had seriously damaged their bodies.

Wang Zheng carefully dragged Luo Fei and Taros out of the area. Once they left the gravitational field, both of them coughed out a mouthful of blood. It was evident that they had damaged their lungs.

Meng Tian hurriedly applied some first aid. After injecting them with a needle, both of them collapsed onto the floor, panting.

Lear had also tried entering the gravitational field. A ten-fold gravity normally would not have intimidated them, but as they had rushed in unprepared, their bodies were unable to adapt to such a sudden change, and hence had been injured.

Unfortunately, the two most agile members had been injured.

They were unable to judge just how large this gravity field was. If the area was too large, they might not be able to exit after entering. The most critical thing was that two people were injured. Ordinarily, they would have just carried them on their backs, butt both of them were currently not able to withstand the pressure, and probably could only hold on for ten minutes.

Lear frowned. "According to conventional knowledge, the gravity field zone varies according to its strength, and it generally should range between two to five kilometers."

When humanity was exploring the world, it was not the first time they had met with such a situation. However, the current situation was a bit extreme.

Detour?

The terrain of Planet No. 9 was rather complex, and their current path was the only one that was relatively easy to traverse. The path on both sides of their current location was even worse, and regarding their timing, they had already been delayed.

"What are you thinking about? Detours? Do you want to kill us both!?" Taros couldn't help but cry.

"You've already explored the surrounding area. If we were to change our path, we would probably waste up to half a day. Additionally, there are signs of the bugs in the other two directions," Achilles said, and then looked directly at Wang Zheng.

This was a tough decision to make.

"If it's only two kilometers, can you tolerate it?" Zhang Shan asked.

"Tolerate your face! What if it's more than two kilometers?" Taros immediately scolded.

The rest of the team remained silent. This was precisely the messy situation that no one had wanted to see. Everyone looked towards Wang Zheng, throwing the problem at him.

"Achilles, Lear, Lie Xin, Lie Guang, Meng Tian, Zhang Shan, form a group and follow our original path. Masasi, Raston, Zhang Runan, you guys are with me. Let's carry Luo Fei and Taros and proceed forward." Wang Zheng promptly decided.

It was not possible to abandon Taros and Luo Fei at this stage.

"Wang Zheng, I want to go with you!" Zhang Shan pleaded.

"Wang Zheng, have you considered it carefully? Our original strength was never that great; if you split the team, I'm afraid both sides might not make it," Lear coldly stated. Taros and Luo Fei were considered his people, but no one expected that the first to suggest 'abandoning' them would be Lear.

Taros's face darkened, and he clenched his jaw. While he was well aware of how cruel Lear was, he had not thought that it would be to this extreme.

"Lear's right. We're not here for a vacation. We have to reach the destination on time. I suggest leaving one person to look after them both, while the rest of us continue on," Lie Xin said.

However, none of them had a reply. As long as more than five people arrived on time, they would be considered to have cleared the round. However, those that did not reach would be considered to have been disqualified. This also meant that the person who remained here would be out of the competition, thus none of them would willingly stay behind.

Who would stay behind?

Additionally, with the Solar System team's strength, if they did not have enough members, even if they managed to complete this round, the subsequent rounds would practically be impossible.

Wang Zheng did not hesitate. "We should just follow my previous plan and split up. Lear, Achilles, all of you go on ahead and reach the destination punctually. Try to buy us some time!"

Everything would be fine, provided that five people were able to arrive on time. As for other members, as long as they were not the last to arrive, this was the only choice, and it was still better than simply giving up.

Looking at how decisive Wang Zheng was, the rest also had nothing to say. Lear and Achilles led the team, commenting that this was 'the benevolence of women'.

After saying that, Lear immediately set off. Now was not the time to argue with the rest.

There was a reason why Wang Zheng had chosen Raston, Masasi, and Zhang Runan. One was that they had the physical abilities to keep up with the rest, and also that their personalities were more able to accept the gravity of the situation. After all, carrying two wounded teammates was a significantly higher burden.

Wang Zheng was carrying Luo Fei, and Raston lifted Taros on his back. They had chosen to take a detour.

"Fatty, you really should lose some weight." Wang Zheng laughed. "Don't worry, we will definitely make it."

Fatty could only laugh sullenly, while the expression on Taros's face seemed to be slightly better. He had not expected that Wang Zheng would make such a choice; however… this was indeed not a wise method. If he was the team captain, he would definitely have chosen to abandon his teammates. However, since he was the one being saved currently, he simply chose to keep his thoughts to himself.

"Believe in the abilities of Achilles and the rest. They will definitely reach the goal on time. We just have to arrive safely," Masasi said.

"Alright, stop thinking too much. Taros, you must treat me to a good meal when we get back, and stop being such a miser," Raston quipped.

Masasi and Zhang Runan were responsible for clearing the path. After changing their path, the terrain had become rather complex, and the vegetation was too thick, requiring their titanium blades to cut through.

On the other end, Lear and Achilles were silent. This was undoubtedly the most depressing choice, but they simply had no other methods. Now the only thing they could do was to reach the destination on time.

Lear was indeed cold-hearted. While he was leading from the front, his speed was rather quick. No one would be able to stop him from entering the IG competition finals. In order to achieve his goals, everyone else was disposable.

On the battleship, the generals were watching as the soldiers below them took in every move. Meng Ao, as the representative of the Solar System, was also present. However, watching Wang Zheng splitting his troops, he could not help but disapprove of it. He was able to clearly view the performance of the other competitors. Although the Solar System team was weak, they could still have had a chance if they had arrived together. However, once they separated, their battle strength immediately plummeted. Needless to say, when it came to making decisions, Wang Zheng was by far much weaker than Lear. On the battlefield, it was necessary to be resolute.

All the teams who were not resolute enough had already been finished off. On the other hand, teams like Aslan and the rest had remained unobstructed all the way. With the emergency bracelets firmly in their grasp, they were in an invincible position.

Perhaps it was a mistake to appoint Wang Zheng as the captain. He was a talented soldier, but not a leader.

For the current lineup, it would be an unprecedented glory if they were able to make it to the top sixteen. It would be such a pity if they had to give up halfway, especially due to such a reason.

Nobody was paying any attention to Earth, as everyone's eyes were on the ten or so superpower countries. However, due to the 'excessive' actions of Arbiter and Manalasuo, the generals were almost on the brink of fighting, but were separated by the IG staff. These actions were in line with the IG rules, but it had been a long time since such elimination rules were allowed, and they definitely were not accustomed to it.

The only expression on the face of Arbiter's Troy was one of mockery. Only the weak would make a fuss over this.

The progress of the both sides of the Solar System team remained steady. On Wang Zheng's side, they were taking turns in carrying Luo Fei and Taros. Although the terrain was complex, it did not hinder their speed by too much. On the other hand, Lear's speed was much faster, but Zhang Shan and Meng Tian were having trouble keeping up. These high speed maneuvers may be able to be maintained for a few hours, but both of them were surprised that Lear was not slowing down the pace.

The reason that Wang Zheng wanted to split his team up was because he believed that the endurance and strength of Lear, Achilles, and the rest would allow them to arrive on time. This was something that even Lear and the rest were not aware of, even as they had hidden their true capabilities.

Regarding the ancient training methods, the constitutions of those who had trained in them were indeed much better than that of the average human, and Lear and Achilles' overall strength were also not too bad. They were confident in arriving on time, while Wang Zheng was also confident that he would be able to bring the rest to the destination. However, it was unsure if they would be punctual.

However, the current distribution was indeed the best case scenario. Wang Zheng was not willing to dump anyone behind, even if the two people were Luo Fei and Taros.

At night, Wang Zheng and others took the chance to rest, and Luo Fei and Taros kept watch. After all, the others were much more tired than they were.

"I didn't expect Lear to be so vicious, immediately willing to abandon us and leave!" Taros was dissatisfied in his heart. Without his help, Lear would never have had such an easy path, yet he ended up leaving them for dead for a mere competition.

If it was just a simple abandonment, it may have been fine. However, there was danger lurking behind every corner over here, and yet Lear had made the decision so easily…..

Luo Fei remained silent, and Taros glanced at him. "If we are able to arrive on time, I think you should stop following Lear. If you ever show that you are worthless, he will just throw you away like a piece of rubbish."

Luo Fei looked at the starry sky above him, and his chubby face smiled. "I'm just like a dog. The master may abandon me, but a dog will not betray him."

Taros was stunned, and could not help but curse a few words. This fatty was definitely guilty of some mental disease.

After two hours of rest, they were back on the road. However, the current situation was that they were absolutely not ready for combat. So Wang Zheng was extremely alert and was attempting to avoid any and all Zerg. Even if it was a long detour, his aim was still to safely reach the destination.

Wang Zheng had the correct deductions regarding Lear and Achilles' abilities. However, some things were not possible to avoid.

On the fifth day, Lear and the rest had already made it to the upper ranks of the teams, and this caused Meng Ao to be excited. Wang Zheng's method was actually not too bad, allowing Lear to arrive first, and with him tending to the wounded. At their current speed, arriving before the end of the round was not a problem. As it still was not a desperate situation, Meng Ao also did not want Luo Fei and Taros to meet with any danger.

Ruthlessness was not something that humans were born with.

However, the situation would never be that simple. As the bugs were too ferocious, even if one fought them head on, it would simply be a waste of time, and could even cause injuries and death. Other than a few outstanding teams, the rest all had chosen to avoid them, or to send out their fastest scouts to act as a distraction. The aim of this round was not extermination, but to simply arrive at the destination, and all the teams were clear on this point. However, problems had still occurred. When they were entering the central area, they had met with mecha!

The sudden emergence of mecha caused a lot of trouble to the teams. Although their fighting abilities were not high, and the ones that had arrived here were all elites, once the exchange of fire occurred, the insects were immediately attracted to the teams and caused issues.

And Lear's team had met with a problem. Him and Achilles were responsible for reconnaissance, and had safely avoided the bugs, exhibiting their excellent perception abilities. It was something that even Meng Ao had not expected. However, once the mecha had arrived, there was a serious problem, which was the lack of manpower.

Even with Lie Xin and Lie Guang showing off their might, Zhang Shan had been injured, and moving on, he did not have sufficient strength to act as the shield for the team. Meng Tian's abilities were also not suited for this situation. If it wasn't for the strength of Lear and Achilles, they could have been wiped out. With difficulty, they managed to shake off the bugs, but Zhang Shan had already been injured. His thigh had been pierced by the bugs, and although they had carried out emergency treatment, he was unable to hold on for long. The long distance march had evidently resulted in the weakening of their resilience.

"Zhang Shan, hang in there, we're about to reach the destination!" Meng Tian carefully bandaged the wound.

"It's only a small matter, just a flesh wound. It's superficial, let's carry on!" Zhang Shan replied.

Lear nodded, and simply waved his hand. "Let's set off!"

Now was not the time to falter. With the addition of these damned mecha creating chaos, they had to seize the opportunity.

But not a few minutes later, behind him, Zhang Shan fell to the ground, holding his wound in a grunt of pain. He was drenched in sweat, and Meng Tian quickly helped him up. "He can't move any more. He needs someone to carry him."

Lear furrowed his brows. "Stop joking, we don't even have enough combatants!"

Zhang Shan was gritting his teeth. His whole thigh had been dyed red by the blood. Lear's brows knitted even further. The smell of the blood was simply acting as a live bait, exposing their position to the bugs.

"Zhang Shan, you can't walk anymore. Go look for a place to hide. The rest of us will continue forward!" Lear decided.

Achilles and the rest did not speak up, as it was indeed the best choice. Zhang Shan's mecha abilities were good, but his individual strength was too weak. Without him, the average speed could be increased. Although Lear was a little heartless, it was no question that it was the best solution.

"No, you guys go ahead. I'll look after him!" Meng Tian shook his head. At this point in time, leaving Zhang Shan here was simply sending him to his death.

"Meng Tian, we would be disqualified because we are missing a person!" Lie Xin could not help but state. While she still disliked Lear, his decision was the right choice. "Zhang Shan only has to hide himself well. Once the round is over, there will be someone to save him."

Meng Tian shook her head. This was just deluding oneself. "Either we bring him along, or else I'm staying." Whilst saying so, she started helping Zhang Shan clean his wound.

"Meng Tian, if General Meng Ao was here, what do you think he would do?" Lear said.

Meng Tian stuttered for a moment, then lowered her head. "I'm not him."

"Meng Tian, you guys go ahead. This competition is not just a minor thing. This concerns the glory of our Solar System. I won't die so easily!"

"We are military men. When we chose this path, we accepted death." Achilles finally opened his mouth.

At this moment, Lie Guang suddenly picked up Zhang Shan. "If we have time to talk nonsense, we might as well hurry up. Lear, Achilles, everyone has already been aware of it. Everyone else has paved the road for you thus far. It's time for you to do something. Men must have loyalty. Leave Zhang Shan to me. You guys are responsible for sweeping the path clean!"

After saying that, he immediately dashed forward, closely followed by Meng Tian. Lie Xin hesitated for a moment. Her own brother really was… Achilles smiled. He indeed had been hiding a portion of his abilities, and he was simply choosing the best course of action. Lear was the last to act. He had also been hiding his strength, but that also depended on the situation. In order to succeed, one must never fully block his own path forward.

These reckless idiots, the hot bloodedness of the Lie family. It was all that bastard Wang Zheng's fault that the team had no discipline, nowhere similar to a soldier. But at this moment, the thoughts of the others had all unified, leaving Lear with no choice.

Their imagination was full of ideals, but reality was not something that could simply be disregarded. It could be seen that sometimes, the lack of a little good fortune would lead to even more tragic circumstances

Lear and Achilles finally displayed their true abilities. It was clear that both of their combat strengths were nowhere near what they usually performed. This was not an issue of Ability X, as using Ability X without the assistance of the mecha in order to deal with the bugs was simply causing trouble for oneself. It was too easy to get fatigued. However, without them activating their Ability Xs, Lear and Achilles had shown off their jaw-dropping combat abilities, one that was even more aggressive than the flames of the Lie family.

Lie Xin had also understood what had happened. Although Lie Guang was rather reckless, he was absolutely clear about the situation. Since training with their Lie family, his Lie flames were significantly improved, so Lear's family's Heavenly King Arts would also similarly have been improved. And what about Achilles?

He must have had some kind of hidden technique, it was just that no one had ever heard of it; he simply had hidden it too deeply.

Even with fewer people, the combat strength of this side had not decreased. It was only those damned mecha that dashed their hopes of the possibility of avoiding all combat.

Time passed by day by day.

The first to arrive was the Atlantis team. This group of human-looking non-humans were far too relaxed, which made the rest of the humans extremely helpless, but they had already been numb to the sight. If they were not behaving in this manner, they would not be considered Atlanteans, but they did indeed have their advantages in certain areas.

Closely following them was the Aslan team, under the leadership of Sword Saint Aurora. It could be seen that they had been through numerous battles, but their members still remained unperturbed. After reaching the destination, they even started to joke around, not feeling the stress of the competition at all.

This was Aslan's home ground, and it was not a surprise that they had practiced this before. More importantly, against the stronger teams, if they applied the proper tactics, they would not pose a problem at all.

Aslan, Manalasuo, and other traditionally strong teams gradually filtered in, their time of arrival all within one to two hours of each other.

They had basically only taken nine days, while on the final day, large groups started arriving. The time that the IG had calculated was spot on.

Few federations or countries would have had so many problems like the Solar System. The Solar System was competing with others from the Milky Way, but also had internal conflict within the team. There had been no major disagreements for the other teams, at least during this round, but the Solar System team was the only one that had a dispute occur.

The pace of Lear and the rest was initially extremely quick, but had dropped significantly towards the end, specially during the fights as manpower was lacking and they were unable to create a proper formation. As a last resort, Lear and Achilles took turns to attract the attacks of the insects. At the very least, both of them were strong enough and did not suffer severe injuries, but their marching speed had significantly slowed down.

Even after all the hurrying, they were unable to reach the destination on time, and they had exceeded the time limit by two hours.

Meng Ao was infuriated, and Meng Tian was too… She was aware of how important the result of the IG competition was for the military. This matter did not solely involve their honor, but also involved the revival of their combined federation military. A good result would have allowed them to bring forward their plans.

A soldier had to learn to die!

He should not have allowed Wang Zheng to be the team captain. His soft-heartedness was indeed contagious. These actions by the team captain would definitely affect the performance of the team negatively.

From the very first step, the choice had been wrong, which led to trouble down the line. That was such a waste of an opportunity. If they had dumped Zhang Shan, they could at least have arrived a couple hours earlier. Lear and the rest had shown off their tremendous abilities, and could have improved themselves even further. A pity that they had failed in this fashion.

So many years of hard work had been lost!

"The Solar System team has entered the losers group." When the IG soldiers coldly said this sentence, Zhang Shan fell to the ground in shame.

Chapter 375: S Class, Salvation or Hell?

Lear coldly glanced at Meng Tian and Zhang Shan before walking to the lounge without saying a single word.

The laughter of the other teams could be heard, and the laughter at this time seemed to be particularly harsh.

Achilles sighed in relief. The medical staff took Zhang Shan away and Zhang Shan, who was lying on the stretcher, caught his eye. At that moment… he was scared. He was afraid that his teammates would leave him. While he was not afraid of death, he was afraid of being abandoned. But at that moment in time, he should have insisted on staying.

Lie Xin patted Meng Tian's shoulder. When things had come to this, there was no point in speaking further. "We've tried our best. Maybe Wang Zheng and the rest have already arrived and can give us a surprise."

Lie Xin was smiling, but the smile seemed to be forced. The Lie family was also extremely ambitious, especially regarding the improvement of their Lie Flame technique. She had gotten her hopes up, yet had failed at this hurdle.

Hope was obviously a beautiful thing, but it was fragile like a soap bubble.

Wang Zheng and others still did not arrive until evening, ten days and fifteen hours later, right before the competition had ended. Luo Fei and Taros were in good condition, indicating that their medical care was fine. However, it did not matter one bit, as they had already been eliminated.

When he got the news, Wang Zheng's heart sank. After listening to the situation from Meng Tian, he was even more awkward. They had just missed the time limit by a tiny bit. Although Lear and Achilles were strong, their luck simply was not there. They could also not have anticipated the Zhang Shan would be injured. However, there was still a path forward. The revival round was still a chance for them.

When he saw Zhang Shan, the reconstruction of his leg muscles had been completed. Zhang Shan, who was still in the capsule, saw that Wang Zheng remained quiet, seemingly depressed. With Zhang Shan's pride, the one thing he was the most afraid of was dragging down his teammates. However, the worst had occurred: the cause of elimination of the team was all his fault.

Wang Zheng knocked on the capsule and said into the communications device, "Hurry up and recover, there's still a chance. IG has the revival round for the captains!"

Zhang Shan slowly opened his eyes and nodded. He was unable to say anything, as the chances were far too slim.

On the way back, Wang Zheng met the Thunder team's Le Gadamer, who too had teammates who were injured. This time around, the number of contestants who were injured in combat was significant, but most of them were just light injuries. If Zhang Shan's injury was not on his leg, it was unlikely that the Solar System squad would have been eliminated.

Le Gadamer apparently knew about the situation of the Solar System team. "I heard that you guys were unlucky. Just work hard next time."

"Le Gadamer, is there really a revival round?" Wang Zheng asked. This was not the time to pursue who was responsible. As the team captain, it was his responsibility.

Le Gadamer said, "Yes, it's true. They should contact you shortly. But… sigh, I won't say too much, you'll find out soon."

It was hard for him to be excited. He was leading his team to participate in IG to maintain the standards of their planet, and ensure that his team members were brought back safely. As for reaching the top eight, he had not even thought about it.

This was being realistic. However, the Solar System team was obviously not satisfied. Being eliminated may not have been a bad thing.

In the camp, they were separated into two groups. 32 teams had entered the losers group, and amongst them three had arrived on time, but as they had the worst performance, they had been included. The remaining contestants were to wait for the follow-up tests and obtained precious time to rest and recuperate.

Meng Ao walked into the Solar System team's room. It was absolutely silent inside, as everyone had lost their desire to speak. The pressure of their failure hung above the heads of the team. It was fine if their technique did not match up to others. However, they obviously had the skills, yet had failed to get through the round, and this had led to a mix of angry and depressed emotions on all their faces.

When Meng Ao came in, the atmosphere got even heavier. Everyone quickly stood up, while Meng Ao surveyed the room. "Where is Wang Zheng?"

"He went to see Zhang Shan," Zhang Runan said.

"Reporting in, I'm back."

"Return to the team," Meng Ao said coldly, and then just looked at the crowd silently.

"This defeat, the main responsibility is on Wang Zheng, secondary responsibility on Meng Tian. You will accept the military's punishment after returning," Meng Ao said, every word making Meng Tian's face paler and paler.

"General, I am also accountable. I took the initiative to carry Zhang Shan," Lie Guang said.

Meng Ao glared at him and coldly snorted, "If Lie Wuqing was here, he would have immediately slapped you. Your punishment will be dealt with by the Lie family."

"General, I don't think there is anything wrong with rescuing teammates!" Zhang Runan stubbornly said, causing Lear on the side to sneer. Such idiocy and naivety.

"There's nothing wrong with assisting your friends. But you have to first realize your identities. You all are soldiers. Do you know what you have done wrong? You're a soldier, yet you are still afraid of death. You've shamed everyone in the Solar System!"

Meng Ao's voice was not loud, but it stabbed directly into their hearts. Luckily, Zhang Shan was not here, else he might have suicidal thoughts. Taros, on the other hand, did not have much of a reaction. The heck, being alive was the most important, while Luo Fei simply lowered his head.

"This time, Lear was the most mature, and he will be awarded!" Meng Ao said.

In the end, Lear was the best person to be a leader. Unfortunately, everything was too late. Lear was also unable to smile. This was not what he wanted. Such an important chance in the IG competition, yet it was ruined by a group of idiots.

"General, give me another chance to take responsibility as captain," Wang Zheng said. Whoever was right or wrong was no longer important, and no matter how they had planned the outcome, nothing would be accurate. At the very least, Zhang Shan, Luo Fei, and Taros were still alive, and a slim chance still remained. Wang Zheng did not regret his actions. If Zhang Shan and the others had died, there would be no purpose, even if they had been promoted.

Seeing the calmness and self-confidence in Wang Zheng's eyes, there was some anger on Meng Ao's face. "Very good, you haven't disappointed me. Follow me!"

This was obviously opposite to what had been said. A final chance. Did you think that this was your house? Would IG give you another chance?

"Wang Zheng, don't be stubborn," Zhan Runan said. Although they were participating in the IG, Zhang Runan was not overly ambitious. In her view, people's lives were more important. Meng Ao was simply taking the perspective of the military. However, this was not a war, and they were also not attempting to save anyone, but simply training. In her mind, it was not right to sacrifice her teammates for honor and prestige.

This matter would not have a simple conclusion.

Along the way, Meng Ao remained silent. Upon arrival, the captains of the other teams in the loser group also arrived. Thirty-one people, one of the captains had died, said to have been killed by the Arbiters.

A lieutenant who had a head of silver hair yet look spirited walked out. "I'm Akerlof of the Allied Command, responsible for the IG selection. As the captain of the loser group, you have a chance to save the team. At random, you will select a task. You may choose to accept or decline, but you may not abandon it midway. The tasks are split into four grades: A, B, C, D. It all depends on your luck. The first team, come up."

The captains of the teams entered the room in their assigned order, though nobody knew what they were waiting for.

Inside was a spacious hall filled with people. They were the personnel in charge of this IG competition, as well as the militaries of various countries. Of course, some of them were not present, as the general choice for most of these teams were to simply forfeit. Even if the choice they had randomly picked was poor, most were simply here to test out their luck.

The A class difficulty was almost impossible. No one had completed it so far. There had been eleven attempts in history, and all of them ended in death, as there were no escape routes once the mission was accepted. The percentage of participants who had gotten an A class mission was almost 90%.

B class missions had a slight possibility of success, but it required a certain degree of skill and a little luck. There had been five successful cases in history, but first the captains had to draw the mission, which comprised of only 6% of the lot.

C class missions had a fifty-fifty chance of completion. There had only been a single success story, as there was only a 3% chance of getting it.

If one received a D class mission, congratulations, they'd won the lottery. Basically, you were able to complete it once it was selected. As there was only 0.01% of a chance to get one, no one so far had been lucky enough.

The captain of the team, under the eyes of everyone, pressed the button nervously. To be honest, under the gazes of the entire group of military generals, being able to breathe calmly was already an achievement.

An A class mission popped up on the screen. Choose a mech, and kill 500 zerglings within ten minutes.

The face of the captain turned ashen. This was simply a joke, absolutely impossible.

"Accept or forfeit?"

The gazes of the generals present were calm. Accept or forfeit?

Would it be a test of courage, and would he qualify once he accepted it?

This idea simply flashed by, but it was not the first time someone had thought that. It was obvious that this would not be child's play. Once the mission was accepted, it would only mean his death.

A class mission, forfeit…

A class mission, forfeit…

The people outside were unable to detect what was going on, and were also unable to hear anything. They could only see the ashen faces of those that were exiting, and thus suffered yet another blow.

When they were making their choices, elimination had always been hanging at the back of their minds.

The captain of the Sword Cloud federation was crying as he walked out, not knowing what to say to his teammates when he got back, as they were awaiting the good news.

B class mission, accept or forfeit?

This fella was truly lucky, able to get the mission with just a 6% chance!

Max, the captain of the Clark Star team, did not hesitate and immediately chose it. Even if it led to his death, it was still worth a try. Such an opportunity was rare!

Everyone was also whispering, "Would you like to take a look?"

"B class difficulty, nothing much to look at. I thought that some people would have the courage to accept to the A class difficulty, but it seems that the courage of each generation is getting smaller and smaller.

"Even if they were brave, this is not the time."

"That's true too. It is fine to be weak. Nowadays even the military guys aren't bloodthirsty anymore."

"Solar System squad captain, Wang Zheng."

Wang Zheng's name was called, and he walked into the room. For a moment, everyone's eyes were on Wang Zheng, but these gazes were more akin to watching the animals in the zoo. It was a miracle that the Solar System could come this far, but this was the end.

Meng Ao was also inside, and both his palms were already sweating. Just pick a B class mission. With Wang Zheng's capabilities, Meng Ao had confidence that he would be able to clear it!

Wang Zheng lifted his hand, and a red light shone out.

Suddenly, the whole hall was silent.

"S class mission, accept or forfeit?" The AI voice sounded out.

Meng Ao felt all the energy in his body leave him. Was this his destiny???

Chapter 376: Golden Wheel War God

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

Had the luck of the Solar System run out?

S-class? You son of a b****, this was even rarer than getting a D-class mission.

The actual probability of a D-class mission was 0.9%. In fact, there was still an S-class mission with a probability of one-thousandth of a chance, but it had never appeared before as no one had drawn it.

This dammed luck was just encountered by Wang Zheng. You might as well just go buy a lottery ticket!

The many years of careful planning by Meng Ao had been thrown away by the heavens.

This was God that was not allowing the Solar System to have a chance!

After a brief moment to calm down, the generals all laughed. "Oh, your luck in the Solar System is really good."

"Seems like Aslan is not a blessed ground for you."

At this moment, another voice sounded, which immediately shut everyone up.

"Wang Zheng chooses to accept."

Everyone was whispering. Was this guy crazy? Perhaps a courageous person could risk it all on an A-class mission. But with an S-class mission, the original intentions were to not allow anyone to pass the round. But it was still accepted. If this wasn't insane, what else was? Did he have brain damage?

Suicide?

Army personnel did indeed have suicidal tendencies, especially when they were in the wrong and had to bear the responsibility.

"Wang Zheng, what the hell are you thinking!?" Meng Ao shouted. Although he had been angry at him, after calming down, Wang Zheng was still an important talent. There was a price to pay for his growth, and although this time around it was rather significant, it was still bearable. He had never thought that Wang Zheng would choose to kill himself.

"Meng Ao, it seems that the quality of your Earth soldiers needs to improve. You shouldn't be getting anxious from such a matter. If they were in the wrong, they should have sounded out beforehand," Aslan's Major General Rodriguez said. He was only 40 or so years old, and was the backbone of Aslan's military. However, he still had good relations with the Solar System Federation.

"Rodriguez, do you think this is a show?" Lieutenant General Troye of Arbiter said coldly, showing the prestige that every individual had in this room, and not noticing the little tricks that Rodriguez had planted. However, the S-class difficulty was indeed a little overboard, and the rest were not able to take this seriously.

"Of course not, this is the first time that the S-class mission has appeared. I believe no one has been clear on this before. Wang Zheng, listen carefully. The probability of an S-class mission was one-thousandth of a chance, but it is not something impossible to complete. I'll say it clearly now: you make your decision calmly."

Rodriguez was indeed caught in a pitfall. As the chance of this occurring was indeed too low, no one had thought to explain it before.

However, this was just an excuse. It was because once the contents of the mission was placed in front of him, everyone would be able to understand why he felt this way.

Wang Zheng was very calm from the beginning to end, and performed a salute towards Meng Ao. "Reporting. General, I can accomplish this task!"

Very calm, as if there was not a trace of insanity.

One second… two seconds… three seconds…

The whole audience burst into laughter. "Meng Ao, consider me impressed. It turns out that your talent selection on Earth is based on their ability to speak."

"He really doesn't know his limits. The IG is not a joke. Since he's already chosen, let's begin. I do want to see if he is able to last at least five minutes!" Bole from Manalasuo coldly laughed.

Many generals hated this type of overconfidence.

Meng Ao was also speechless. Suddenly, he jolted awake. What if…?

Impossible. Did Wang Zheng want to be revived after his death, or did he want to replicate the previous miracle of the Phantom King?

"May I ask, according to the mission, may I choose any mech?"

"Yes, the mech database here is very well-equipped. As long as it is currently there, they will all be here, even if it is an Atlantean mech, although I am afraid you won't be able to use it!"

"I choose Manalsuo's Golden Wheel Battle King!" Wang Zheng said.

"You little punk, you're seeking death!" Bole's anger immediately burst out. This was simply a slap to his face. Everyone knew that the Golden Wheel Battle King was Manalsuo's heartache, and this kid had still the gall to mock him right before his death.

Wang Zheng did not care about him, as it was useless to say anything more with his current identity and status.

S-class mission, location was the Devil Canyon. Choose a mech, and within three hours, kill five thousand zerglings.

On the No. 9 planet, there were a few place with huge Zerg nests, with more than ten thousand zerglings inside, and there was no lack of high-ranking zerglings. It goes without a doubt that there were more than enough to kill, but the problem was, you had to kill for three hours… Being able to survive for three minutes was already an issue.

"Wang Zheng, since you have already decided, you may warm up now. The mech and the transport ship are both waiting outside," General Akerlof solemnly said.

No matter if it was a suicide attempt or not, the military would not treat this like a game.

When Wang Zheng saluted in front of Meng Ao, his expression still remained calm. Meng Ao returned the salute. There was no point is saying anything else at this juncture, as there was no turning back.

When Wang Zheng had chosen the Golden Wheel Battle King, Meng Ao had already lost all hope. He initially thought that Wang Zheng would pick the Phantom King, but regardless, the chances for success were slim.

Thirty-one captains had made their selection, and only two captains chose to accept it.

"Damn, the Solar System's luck is too good!"

"Could it be that Aslan is doing something behind the scenes?"

"Who knows, but for this kind of trash, even if they had accepted, they wouldn't be able to clear!"

"Che, perhaps they could still continue to fake their way through."

"Then they're in for a rough time. If they really got through, they would just die an even more horrible death in the next round!"

The captains were aware of the class of the mission that was chosen by others. Rationally, only those who had picked the B-class missions and below would choose to accept.

The generals did not leave, not bothering with the few minutes that this would take. It has to be said that Wang Zheng's calmness had caused everyone present to have a different feeling in their minds.

It was certainly impossible to finish, but this kid had some backbone. Even in death, he was not willing to shame the Earth, and was willing to sacrifice himself.

General Bole's expression was gloomy as apparently he did not expect the other party to shame Manalasuo. The Golden Wheel Battle King was not suited for live combat; this was something that everyone was aware of.

I'll see how you'll die!

Two holographic images, one was Wang Zheng's, the other was Max's, but everyone's eyes were glued on Wang Zheng, including the generals of Clark planet.

The spaceship was approaching the Devil Canyon, which had one of the three largest nests on the No. 9 planet.

Don't mention five thousand, even fifty thousand was only a drop in the bucket.

For locations where the bugs' nest were especially complicated, the surroundings would be comparatively desolate, and the Devil Canyon was one such location.

"This guy's definitely insane."

"Entering this kind of place alone, he will just be torn to shreds."

The two pilots bringing Wang Zheng in were also speechless. Let alone entering, even approaching this area was relatively dangerous. "Forget it, at least he has the courage to die. When I saw him just now, he wasn't at the stage of being frightened until he pissed himself yet."

Wang Zheng quietly sat in the Golden Wheel Battle King. The mech was good, very good, much better than what he used to practice with. In this regard, IG really did give their best.

Was he confident?

No!

Absolutely not, but he still had to do it. He was the team captain, it was a responsibility that he had to shoulder.

At this time, at Aslan, Aina was practicing her singing, and it was rare that Aina would be playing the guzheng at this time of the day. Because of Wang Zheng, she had fallen in love with Earth, which also included its culture.

She had been studying for quite some time and wanted to play it for Wang Zheng once she was done.

Snap…

Just as she was enjoying the music, one of the strings snapped, and the echoes of the song also abruptly stopped. Both girls could only look at each other, and without knowing why, a bad feeling arose…

What was death? Wang Zheng did not know. But to fight was to survive.

The spacecraft ejected an unmanned aircraft as it was dangerous to approach any further. They were only responsible for the transport, and that did not include the eventual burial.

The unmanned transport aircraft smoothly landed in the Devil Canyon, and it seemed as if countless eyes had fixated on it, the shuffling noise frightening anyone in the vicinity once it had reached a certain level.

Thousands of bugs rushed in from all directions, but there was only one mech in front of their eyes.

It was only at this moment that Meng Ao was desperate. He should not have stimulated these youths. Who would have thought that Wang Zheng would choose to accept the mission.

The surrounding generals all stood up and lightly patted Meng Ao. It was not easy to train a person, not to mention the captain of a team. Although he had made a mistake, using a death to make up for it would at least boost the morale of the rest of the members.

Bole looked at what was once the glory of Manalasuo, which had also become their Achilles' heel, the Golden Wheel Battle King, and breathed a sigh.

Boom…

The mech burst into action, and the engine roared. It was obvious that Wang Zheng had no intentions of giving up. Not only was he not giving up, he had instead charged towards the group of bugs with the intent to kill.

This…

The distance was less than a hundred meters. Two huge golden wheels spun up wildly. Wang Zheng could only hear a buzzing sound in his ears and looked towards the countless bugs. Fear?

What was that thing!?

Kill~~~

Two gold wheels rapidly spun out, chitchitchit… Limbs were flying through the air, and in an instant, seven or eight zerglings had been ripped apart. As the wheels returned back to the mech, the Golden Wheel Battle King proceeded forwards, and at almost the same instant, the two golden wheels once again launched forward and started killing. Wang Zheng still did not retreat, but continued to push forward into the mass of bugs for the kills.

This was the only choice. He would be surrounded, and according to the characteristics of the bugs, each group had a leader. Under normal circumstances, they would not make contact with each other, hence the area of movement for him would be comparatively smaller. If he was to be surrounded right in the center, that would then truly be the end of him.

Another instant, and a group of bugs were sent flying to the side.

Bole was still ridiculing him at first, but had rapidly sobered up and even stood up unknowingly, "Why, why does his Golden Wheel Battle King not lean backwards?"

As a result of Bole's words, the attention of all the generals were on the Golden Wheel Battle King on the battlefield, which had seamless coordination. Everyone present knew that the Golden Wheel Battle King was developed as an invincible killing mech. However, after attaching its lethal wheel weapons, due to the design of said weapons, it only allowed the mech to move at a certain angle while attacking. This downside had caused it to only be able to display ten percent of its combat potential as the mech had limited flexibility, which was absolutely crippling.

However, this Golden Wheel Battle King on the battlefield was unaffected by the tilt, and even when receiving and launching the wheels again for another round of attacks, it was completely seamless. Not only did it counteract the rotational force, its rotation seemed to have even been improved, increasing killing efficiency!

This was something that was only discussed in theory. More accurately, it was impossible even in theory.

In an instant, more than a hundred bugs had died under the wheels of the Golden Wheel Battle King.

Skeleton had often said "do not be intimidated by the appearance and number of enemies, as the numbers you are facing can only be this much."

But theory was theory, and reality was always different, especially in the face of the Zerg, who were not afraid of death.

The first wave of crisis came, and a formation of hundreds of bugs had surrounded him. There was no solution; once he was entangled by them, he would be dead.

However, the Golden Wheel Battle King still did not retreat, but continued moving forward. The closer the distance, the faster the speed of the golden wheels. This increased its killing power, and the killing speed had become even more ferocious.

Chapter 377: I Want to Live!

Translator: Abyssruler Editor: Lucas

Tatatata….

The whole hall was silent. The ones present were all generals who had seen every situation before; they had even commanded legions and destroyed planets. But at this moment, they were all rendered speechless.

Boom….

Golden Wheel Battle King rushed towards the sky, stepping over the corpses of the bugs. The entire phalanx of the bugs had been dismembered, including a giant tank worm, where its only weakness, the neck, was cut by a single strike.

"His maneuvers in midair... that angle… this... can't be done, impossible…"

Bole was stunned. After living for so long, the truth in front of his eyes was so unreal.

Golden Wheel Battle King, this was the realisation of a dream of countless Manalasuo scientists. They had hoped to take the position of the strongest mech using this mech. However, they had failed, yet now…

But what did a single phalanx count for? The bugs were slowly increasing their numbers, nearing a thousand. It was just a slight dent in their group!

At this moment, time seemed to have lost its meaning. Everyone seemed to have died, and the generals seemed to have been turned to stone. Some were gaping, their cigars already burnt till the end, and some wanted to sit in the hallway and forget everything they saw.

Depending on the terrain and the size of the enemy, the enemies one faced would be limited, and one had to learn to use the obstacles to their advantage.

The best obstruction in the Zerg was definitely the leader. The bigger the size, the higher the rank!

Of course, one had to understand the habits and weaknesses of the bugs, and they needed enough technique... and physical strength!

Sometimes, physical strength was the most important factor in influencing a fight!

The Primordial Regression Technique had exploded out in power. Everything in a hundred meter radius was reflected clearly in Wang Zheng's mind.

The Golden Wheel Battle King slowly sped up, Wang Zheng was clear on how to use the slashing abilities to achieve the best effects, without being tied down. One thousand and seventy three…. One thousand and ninety six…

At this moment, if someone were to hear him, they would be driven crazy. The heck, he was still counting the number of Zerg he was killing!!

Wang Zheng's vision was just a sea of golden light. His whole body had seemingly blended into the mech, and each turn of the wheel took less than a second, as if he was truly flying. The movement of the mech had to be precise as one mistake would lead to death. Not only did he have to care about the golden wheels, he also had to consider the bugs' attacks.

There was no chance for failure!

Because he still wanted to live!

After half an hour, he had already slaughtered almost two thousand Zerg.

Meng Ao suddenly called out, "Sh*t, General Akerlof, I want to request the military wing to send an emergency rescue team. The Solar System Federation is willing to bear all consequences!"

At this moment, time seemed to have been restarted. All the gazes that fell on Meng Ao were totally different from before.

Perhaps it would be better for this person to die there….

Wherever the Golden Wheel Battle King went was a pile of corpses, and Akerlof clearly knew what that meant.

"Major Mallorca, immediately bring Wang Zheng back, immediately bring Wang Zheng back!"

Mallorca was currently piloting the transport ship and only responded after half a second. "General, the queen worm has already blocked off the entire Devil Canyon, so only the army would be able to get in…"

Momentarily, both of them just looked at each other speechlessly. Originally, they had thought that this matter would take one or two hours. Who would have predicted that it would be such a scene? This was not a human, but a monster!

"Immediately mobilize the 6th Military Corps, destination: Devil Canyon!" Akerlof passed down an order. Although he did not necessarily have to do this, he had to admit that this kid's abilities were worthy of respect.

He couldn't let him die here.

However… once the people present heard this news, they instead shook their heads in exasperation. By the time the military managed to rush over, there might not even be any slag left. At the minimum, it would take an hour. If they were to rush, they would just be encircled by the bugs and would incur additional casualties.

When Wang Zheng was sent over, they did not intend for him to come back. Who would have thought…

Wang Zheng was unaware of the situation outside. That unmanned transport ship had already turned into scrap. The most important thing was that even more bugs had begun to appear in the atmosphere around him.

More than a dozen bugs swooped down from the air, and it was precisely at the gap between the golden wheels. The fighting IQ of the bus was also quite high. Watching this, Meng Ao was already desperate, his fingernails clawing into his flesh. It was his fault; he had sent such a precious soldier to his death.

Whoosh…

At this point, a beam saber appeared, and it slashed through these flying insects. Over ten bugs had been split open. At the same time, the golden wheels were retrieved, and Wang Zheng continued the assault.

My God!

"That was dual control!"

It was a skill that required multiple coordination and multiple weapons. On one hand, he had to operate the golden wheels, and he also had to wield the beam saber. The difficulty of this was more than just the addition of using these two weapons individually!

This kid was an insane combatant!

Everyone was watching Meng Ao with envious eyes, but without any jealousy. Why? That super soldier was about to die. Because of Meng Ao's stupidity, he had even let such a person accept the S-class mission. What did a mere IG competition count as? He had to understand that such a genius would only appear in the span who knows how many years.

The Earth had not appeared on the galactic scene for centuries. Yet they had been condemned just as soon as they had a chance. It was really exaggerated.

Wang Zheng's tactics and techniques were perfect. It was not a problem, as everyone on the scene knew that even if he was really a god of war, there was bound to be a mistake. Even without a mistake occurring, he would still be exhausted to his death.

This was a personal battle. At the same time, it was incredibly fierce. Even the generals present were unable to tolerate it anymore.

Wang Zheng had felt it, his physical strength was constantly dwindling. It might be luck that he could last till this point, but humans were not machines, their strength were limited, and he had started to feel fatigued.

If the generals were aware of this, they would all be incredibly mad at him. It had already been over an hour, and countless bugs had died. Even Wang Zheng had lost count. On the other hand, the army would need at least 40 minutes to arrive.

He had to persevere!

It should be around five thousand, and only after completion would any military force approach him for rescue.

At this moment, not only Wang Zheng, but the other generals had also felt that this kid was waiting for rescue.

Meng Ao angrily shouted, "Akerlof, Wang Zheng has completed the S-class mission. If you are unable to rescue him, the Solar System will make you pay the price!"

Akerlof did not get angry, as he was clear about the situation. The numbers did not matter anymore.

"Major Sucre, full speed ahead. I'll give you twenty minutes to arrive at Devil's Canyon at all costs, else you will be dealt with by military law!" Akerlof ordered, but this was all he could do.

But these twenty minutes were just like twenty years.

Wang Zheng felt himself become more and more tired. His body started to become rigid, but he could not stiffen up.

He couldn't die, he didn't want to die, he wanted to live.

Aina was waiting for him, and so was that b*stard Yan Xiaosu. Zisu, Zhang Shan, Meng Tian, Chen Xiu…

He couldn't die!!!

Wang Zheng bit down on his tongue and cleared up his dazed mind a little. He still wanted to live!

Live!

Roar~~~~~~

A wild roar, similar to that of a wild beast, came out of Devil's Canyon. Kill~~~~~~

The Golden Wheel Battle King broke out of the encirclement, it's golden wheels becoming bloody, and the whole mech was like a devil from hell, covered in a strong, murderous aura.

If you block me, you'll die!

The beam saber was madly sweeping around, and the rest was just instinctual, formed after countless training simulations. At this moment, Wang Zheng's inner thoughts were clear. He thought back to the harsh training sessions that he had undergone under Skeleton, and it was those sessions that allowed him to persist for such a long time. His body had already become numb, and his soul felt as if it was about to leave him.

Was he about to die?

In the distant Aslan, Aina was anxiously waiting. She knew the cruelty of the IG. Did something happen to Wang Zheng?

Ye Zisu had also been restless all day long, dropping everything she had planned and rushed out.

"Zisu, what happened? You look distracted, and your face is really pale. Do you need to see a doctor?" Bi Yuyan asked, not knowing why….. she had started crying in the middle of class.

At this moment, Ye Zisu stood up and rushed out of the room.

No, nothing will happen, nothing will happen.

"Damn, I got hit by bird sh*t again?! How am I this unlucky?" Yan Xiaosu shook his head. "The heck, the sky suddenly turned cloudy… is it going to rain… Ugh, Ouch! My legs, ouch…"

Suddenly, Yan Xiaosu felt a sudden jump in his heart, and his expression changed dramatically.

Wang Zheng was almost unable to hold on. He was not afraid and would not give up. However, the tide of bugs was endless. He was unclear as to the number that he had killed, but it was just merely the tip, as even more bugs streamed towards him, with even stronger classes amongst them.

On the other image, Max from the Clark Star had managed to complete his B-class mission. This was also something worthy of celebration, but no one was paying him any attention at this time.

"This kid is still enduring. He has the determination of our Aslanian people!"

"If he lives, Manalasuo is willing to pay anything to bring him over!" Bole loudly said. This kid was holding on to the secret of the Golden Wheel Battle King. If everyone in his army could operate it like that, they would be able to rule the world; even Aslan would not count for anything.

But in the eyes of everyone, they could sense the reactions of the Golden Wheel Battle King slowing down, and it was struck by the bugs quite a few times. The energy shield was also almost consumed. I'm afraid…

This was his limit. Wang Zheng also knew, but he really wanted to live on.

Curiously, the bugs' assault had also slowed down, as if…

"Not good, it's the queen!"

In the center of a new formation, the queen bug had appeared. The Zerg had a high intelligence, and it was obvious that she had garnered an interest in this human, wanting him as a nutrient.

However, as soon as a gap appeared at this moment, Wang Zheng suddenly focused, as he saw the only trace of hope.

He was gritting his teeth so hard that they were already bleeding. He wanted to live!!!

Boom…

The entire mech sent out a shockwave. Instantly, the queen bug let out a piercing scream, and all the Zerg immediately formed a shield around her.

And Wang Zheng acted at this instant.

The final strike – Icy Wheel Storm!

Ice cold air started emitting from around the four golden wheels. Two frozen wheels roared out and pierced through the Zerg in front of them. All the zerglings who had touched the wheels were sliced into pieces, leaving a trail of frost on the ground.

Within two seconds, the wheels had penetrated through more than five hundred meters, and the queen zerg who had been protected by countless zerglings hurriedly attempted to escape. However, before it moved… it had been sliced apart by the golden wheels.

Chopped into frozen chunks.

The whole Devil Canyon quietened down. In an instant, the bugs seemed to be cockroaches who had met their mortal enemy, and they ran away while emitting piercing cries, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

What remained on the battlefield was only a field of corpses, and the only one standing upright was the Golden Wheel Battle King.

The two transport ship pilots who had witnessed the scene were absolutely speechless.

"Mon…. ster. This is not a human, he's a demon king…" Mallorca was dumbstruck. Even though he was a warrior, witnessing such a battle was not good for his sanity.

The descent of the demon king!

At this time, the troops had still not arrived…

Suddenly, Meng Ao rushed forward with a shout. However, he was perhaps too hasty, and his head collided with the frame of the door. Yet he did not care about it, and he rushed forward after picking himself up.

At this instant, the hall was absolutely silent. Everyone's' minds only had a single thought… in the subsequent rounds, what if they met with him?

They shuddered collectively and did not want to think further. This would definitely be the most painful thing that could ever happen.

The second person to rush out was surprisingly Bole. Nobody knew what this general from Manalasuo had in mind.

In fact, everybody's hearts did not think that way.

A few minutes later, the roar of the engines could be heard, signaling the arrival of the battleships. One by one, they landed from the sky, but once they saw the current battlefield, everyone turned silent.

Was this hell?

The various teams that were resting at the base camp had also heard the movement of the troops. Such a large scale mobilization could not be hidden from others. Although no one was aware of what had happened, they could sense the excitement amongst the group of youngsters.

Perhaps it was a demonstration of some form of mobilization. If it was something that commanded the attention of the entire camp, it was indeed something that every soldier present should work towards.

Commanding a thousand troops and being recognized for your achievements.

Wang Zheng was personally lifted off the transport ship by Meng Ao, with the medical staff performing emergency treatment. Meng Ao did not know what else to say, but only had a single thought: "He must survive, he has to survive, no matter the cost!"

What Meng Ao saw in Wang Zheng was not similar to how the Solar System viewed him. He saw the hope of the Solar System's revival. Hidden within the depths of every human's soul, that thought that could not be spoken out loud. When would the Earth finally return to the "core" of the Milky Way? The disobedient kid in front of his eyes had allowed him to see this possibility.

"Say something, how is he!?" Meng Ao angrily shouted. The few Aslanian combat medics may look pleasing to the eye, but it was of no use at this moment.

The combat medics who were fully understanding of Meng Ao's feelings calmly stated, "Sir, he… seems to be fine, only unconscious at the moment. His life is not in danger at the moment, but we'll do a full check once we arrive. Don't worry about it."

After hearing this, Meng Ao staggered, and he couldn't help but smile. "This little punk, he sure is hardy."

The three combat medics were also full of amazement. They had seen numerous horrors, as well as numerous slaughters on the battlefield. "Which department is he from? Why is he the only one left?"

"I've not heard of any movement in the military."

Meng Ao mildly smiled. Not even the old men at the headquarters had seen such a situation before, not to mention these few girls. Thinking back to their expressions, Meng Ao was full of satisfaction. A pity, but also, luckily, Lie Wuqing had not been here to observe.

With Wang Zheng as their trump card, the Solar System Federation would be able to achieve great results in the IG competition. They had already achieved a historic breakthrough, and now the import thing was to allow everyone sufficient time to rest.

Meng Ao was fundamentally a general, so he rapidly composed himself. It was time for the next part of the plan.

Although Meng Ao had left, the rest of the generals were still staring at the replay on the screen. No matter how many times they watched, they were still filled with a sense of incredulity. Especially for Bole, the general of Manalasuo, he seemed like a rabid sheep, his whole person in a state of madness. The look in his eyes towards the Golden Wheel Battle King was like meeting his first lover. This meant that there were no problems with its design, but it was the operation of the mech itself.

Other that Meng Ao, Bole was the most concerned with Wang Zheng. Once he heard that Wang Zheng was in no life-threatening danger, he was unable to control his emotions and punched the air.

"This kid surprisingly did not die?"

"Hoho, Earth has given birth to such a weird kid. There will be a show to watch in the IG this time round."

Everyone gradually regained their calm. Even so, they had no relations to him, so they stopped acting as if they had never seen the world before. However, the naked expressions in their eyes were unable to be hidden.

It was uncertain if this kid would be able to recover in time. If he was able to participate in the subsequent rounds, whoever met him would have to slowly reconsider.

However, they believed that the chances of him recovering were not huge, but even this would be considered sufficient.

The performance of Earth was indeed beyond the expectations of Major General Rodriguez. However, this performance was a good thing for them. After all, they were currently in their honeymoon period, with both sides furthering their strategic alliances, but Aslan was still a little hesitant. After all, the strength of the Solar System was still a bit weak, and with the close proximity of both countries, it was easy for friction to occur, and it would cause them to lose out heavily.

Unless these guys from the Solar System were acting as pigs in order to catch the tiger.

Wang Zheng's single fight had given them many things to consider.

However, these situations were limited to those present in the room. At the very least, during the period of IG, no one was allowed to spread any rumors, or else they would bear all responsibilities. More importantly, the ones present were all head figures, and no one wanted to embarrass each other.

In the room of the Solar System Federation team, it still remained quiet. After Wang Zheng left, everyone lost their interest in speaking. Silence, and more silence reigned in the room.

Time inched by slowly. Occasionally, someone would pass by, chattering noisily, but it fell onto the defeated team like a hammer on their heads.

When a knock on the door broke the silence, everyone looked at each other. Who would come in at this time?

Swoosh…

The automatic door opened up, and a Second Lieutenant from Aslan walked in. "Are you the members of the Solar System team?"

Achilles stood up and asked, "Yes, I'm Achilles. May I know what's the issue?"

The second lieutenant smiled. "Let me tell you the good news. Amongst the thirty-two defeated teams, there were two that completed the revival round. One was Max from the Clark Star, the other was Wang Zheng from your Solar System. Congratulations, you are able to continue into the next round of competition."

After a stunned silence from the room, a loud cheer erupted. This surprise was too sudden, even Lear had stood up and shouted out in joy. But once he realized that he had lost his composure, he immediately sat down. The rest simply ignored him, and Lie Guang had even torn his shirt. This was definitely a comeback.

"Where's Wang Zheng? That guy's really awesome!" Lie Guang shouted.

"Wang Zheng and Max were both injured, so they are currently undergoing treatment. However, they are allowed to be absent from the next round of the competition. We hope that you can perform in their stead and cherish this hard-earned opportunity."

After finishing his speech, the second lieutenant immediately left, but the cheers in the room grew even louder. Lear and Achilles looked at each other. This was a chance that they could not let go.

Lear clenched his fist. No matter who obstructed him, he would kill them off! He had to be even more merciless. If they had dumped Zhang Shan, they would not have been in this mess. What he hated the most was the inability to control his fate!

Meng Tian and Zhang Runan hurriedly went to find Zhang Shan. His flesh had already regrown within the capsule, and he only needed a little bit more nutrients to replenish his body. However, his mental state still remained subdued.

"You guys are here. You shouldn't be looking at such a shameful image of me," Zhang Shan said.

"We're not here to visit you. We're only here to tell you that the next round is about to start, so you better crawl out of there soon," Zhang Runan said.

"Crawl what, weren't we… Wait a minute, what are you saying???" Zhang Shan suddenly widened his eyes.

"Yep, Wang Zheng completed it, he' really done it!" Meng Tian exclaimed.
