Curing the illness Part1

"What the hell? How can a person go from being so hyperactive to suddenly fainting?!" Wang Yu scratched his head in confusion.

"Ughh... What a pain... Well, I guess I should at least take her to the elder's house."

Wang Yu tried his best, but the man was extremely weak and haggard.

He ended up dropping Su Lin a few times before he literally dragged her body to the elder's house.

Watching him drag around Su Lin like a corpse, the elder dropped his lunch and almost peed his pants.

"Oh god!! Is she dead?! What happened Yu? Is she dead? What did you do now?" The elder panicked and shouted anxiously while running over to the two of them.

"Stop dragging her so roughly! Do you know who she is??"

"Calm down brother. She suddenly fainted. I was just bringing her here for some first aid." Wang Yu righteously answered.

Only after he explained, the old man sighed in relief.

"Phew. Good thinking Yu. She is the wife of that Shi Empire's CEO. I don't even want to think about what that man would do if something happened to his precious wife on our watch."

"Hmm? Shi family huh? She doesn't look like that though. What is she doing here?"

"Who knows? She gave me some money and asked if she can take a look around the fields and grab some herbs..."

"Oh, wait. Hold her head like this. Give her this medicine. Here... Slowly..."

They both lifted her up, gently this time, and laid her on the elder's bed. The elder then started fanning her and fed her spoons of water every few minutes.

"Hmm... I think we should call their office and let someone know?" The elder suggested.

Wang Yu nodded agreeing with the elder.

Though, before the elder could reach for his phone, Wang Yu called for him hurriedly, "Look! Look! She is opening her eyes!"

Su Lin slowly sat up and drank some water.

Ouch. Her body was weirdly hurting everywhere. She looked around and saw that her entire body was covered in scratches and bruises?

Observing her actions, Wang Yu slowly backed out of the room. "Hmph. It's not my fault that you fainted in the middle of the fields."

Hurriedly, the elder apologized on Wang Yu's behalf. "Sorry young madam. Yu here is also sick and bedridden. He did his best to get you here from afar."

Su Lin shook her head helplessly. She didn't have time to worry about his now. She had quite a few things to do before something happened again.

"Uncle, can you please help me?"

....

....

....

An hour later...

Wang Yu was silently sitting in a corner of the elder's house and sipping a cup of steaming hot tea, all the while watching the madness unfolding in front of him.

Su Lin was now standing near the kitchen stove and had gone completely wild and out of control.

The woman was torturing a simple pressure cooker, by brewing something complex in it. She had thrown all sorts of herbs and plants into the mixture.

In fact, it almost looked like a witch brewing a potion!

"That... That is a poisonous herb miss..." The elder nervously stammered and tried to warn, but Su Lin paid no heed to him.

The elder sighed in helplessness. He was half-wondering if this woman had some sort of concussion or head injury?

Should I call someone and report? What should I do? The elder silently muttered his prayers and counted his lucky stars.. alas.. disaster had befallen him!

And just like that a few more hours passed...

It was almost night time and the beautiful hues of the dusk were dancing, and the crazy lady finally put the ladle down!

The elder heaved a sigh of relief. At the least.. she didn't blow up his house from the horrendous cooking method...

Wang Yu, however, remained a calm and silent spectator, hooked with immense interest. Something was definitely going on!

Under their watchful eyes, Su Lin scooped out some liquid. The white transparent solution had now become a black sticky glue like substance.

She nodded satisfactorily and patiently stirred to let the mixture cool down. She then turned off the stove and immediately collapsed on the floor from tiredness.

Brewing the concoction for so long, with a 500% concentration had greatly strained her, both mentally and physically.

It looked like she was finally done with her cooking and the elder sighed in relief.

But unfortunately, the next instant, Su Lin tyrannically commanded the poor elder to leave her alone and not disturb her for the entire next week.

"Please send me some food every morning and allow me to use this portion of the house for a week. Do not inform anyone else about this."

"I will compensate you very generously for this inconvenience."

Looking at the woman's resolute eyes, the elder couldn't refuse.

He nodded and hesitantly agreed. All he hoped and prayed for was that she leave his humble abode alive and never come back after this... Dear Lord... What a troublesome woman...
