Eve:

I turned on the radio and listen to newly hit songs of the year. At least, my old car could play some music to get my minds off all ordinaries problem. I wish if there were enough hours in a day. I would've work twenty-four hours and save some money to replace this old hag with a new one.

The distance between my two jobs was understandable. Since both of the stores were located downtown. I reached my second job before the second songs even completed.

The smelled of delicious food made my mouth water. I did have freshly cooked pizza and chicken wings, but this healthy food sure made those cheapest pizzas and wings taste bad.

I didn't really prefer my position as a waitress in a high fancy restaurant. Though, I could earn almost double tips than my monthly payments. Besides, this place was always crowded and filled with a highly classed residence of Wisconsin.

I clocked my employee number as soon as I changed into the work uniform. White shirts, black pants, black shoes. I bun my hair using pin and hair tie. Then, I gave myself a quick glance at my reflection in the bathroom mirror before walking to the customer waiting rooms. Uh, I looked elegance as always.

I greeted all my co-workers along the way. I waved at the famous chefs in the town, they y'all return welcoming smiled and get back to their work.

Unfortunately, my manager called me before I would start serving the customer that just arrived at the table. I left my co-worker to handle their orders. Then, I went to her, hoping I haven't disappointed her in any way.

She laid me to her office. Before we both settle on the chair, my brain tensed with the terrifying thoughts. Have I done anything wrong? Am I getting fired?

"Is everything okay?" I asked her as we both sat on the chair.

"Eve?" Her voices sounded drab. My heart started thumping, and my ear started hearing dramatic soulful background music playing somewhere in the distance.

"Just great." I thought, examining her drainage expression.

"Don't tell me I am getting fired?" My voices tremble.

"No, you're not getting fired?" She smiled, wearily.

I took a breath of relieved. I literally thought my family would be ruined if I ever get kicked out of this job. For a starter, I didn't even have a college degree to get a decent job in Enterprises. And nowadays, you hardly ever get a job that pays you higher.

"There's something I want to discuss with you today." She told me.

"Okay?" I managed to smile.

"I got an email just a few seconds before you'd arrive at work. Mr. Pearson secretary wrote me, he needed you to confirm the meeting with his boss and I was asked to give you a day off."

"Okay?" Since I had no fucking idea what was this all about. I couldn't say yes and no. I couldn't come up with agreements to meet the strangers to me, but to the world, I guess not so much. The freaking billionaire was asking my time. What on the earth was going on?

"Does he mentioned any specific reason that I should know before I meet him?" I asked her.

She thought for a moment and gave that long glanced at her computer, and said. "Not really. Well, whatever Mr. Pearson wanting to meet you about would definitely be something important or else you know. He wouldn't care about the country girl."

She gave me a really annoying smiled, indicating that she should have been the one that should be meeting Pearson instead of this ugly-looking tall-skinny waitress, Me.

I didn't blame her being jealous. Whenever people looked at me, all they gave me was a gesture of pity and mostly favored me for my kindness towards them. Even though I did hate the fact that I was just vulnerable skinny girl patiently waiting for miracles to happen. I began to realized miracles didn't really exist in reality and without hardship, there was nothing in the world come to you freely.

"I am not going." I refused directly at her face.

"You're not going." She made the statement, gawking at me. And what did I do to deserve her unpleasant gawk at me? "You do realize you're being invited by the most bachelor and top billionaire in the history."

"I know." Though, I just knew that guy was one of the top ten billionaires in the history of Richest people in the world. I still have no reason for attending this meeting. Whatever he planned on doing with me at the time of our meeting, I didn't even want to think about it. Like I mentioned earlier, I was just tired of people offering me sympathetic gesture.

She opened her drawer and opened the folder, where it said, "termination letter" and she started scribbling my name.

"What are you doing?" I nearly yelled at her for acting so cheapish and selfish. What did I do to deserve all this? Getting fired from the company I worked for the year without any complaints and mistakes or misbehaviors. I could sue her.

"I am firing you." She said and sounded heartless and annoyance.

"But, why?" I protested.

"Because you pissed off the boss of this restaurant, Mr. Pearson. And he never spares the souls." She announced.

"Great," I muttered.

"I will go," I said without thinking. Wishing if I could re-live this day, I would have used my PTO and avoid facing him and this stupidity.

I mean, come on. Above all those beautiful models, actresses, and women's around the globe, what kind of interest would he have on me. I couldn't assume this meeting was related to a business proposal because I was no businesswoman.

"Great." She gave me her faked smile.

"Should I just leave or work until it's time for my meeting?" I asked.

"You can leave. Make sure you meet him or else." She warned me, pointing to the termination letters folder.
