Raith was chosen by the Archon of failure and death. 

Having emerged from one of the three greatest family, he was forced to leave the family and began a lonely journey of being a Hero as he has always wanted. 

Hero–that was the only way Raith could redeem himself and be acknowledged by the world. 

But this Archon is just too useless!

However, everything changes on the day when Raith dies for the first time.

Requiem Of A Failed Hero

Not that he decided to become their leader but since he was going to be using them in his coming plans, Raith felt there was nothing bad in actually knowing them.

There was still a lot of mystery shrouding this people but when he thought about it… it was kind of cool.

…to have a bunch of unkillable roaches serving him. Not to say that they were all skilled in their own individuality.

Hans was taking Raith around, telling him more about the Divine Nightmare, about his deeds and the history of that era. How active the gods were and after the emergence of players, the gods suddenly stopped showing their presence.

Of course, Raith was not a bit interested in the blabbings of the old soulless man. There was the part where it seemed like Hans was just boasting of all the good things the Divine Nightmare had done.
