No You or Me.

"The others rejected me, how come you were willing to accept it?", asked Yong-Hwan.

Cho Chang Woo was determined, "Sir, I am confident with my skills and also, I don't want to miss the chance to be able to work on this kind of stone. When will I ever see or have the chance to do it again? I'm just a lowly worker but I will make sure to be able to fulfill your request."

Thus, the two of them agreed and Chang Woo started to work with the necklace. Yong-Hwan became really excited after each passing day. After working with the necklace for weeks, Chang Woo finally finished it.

"Mr. Cho, you are very talented! This is exactly how I envisioned the necklace to be. I am very thankful to you!", said Kim Yong-Hwan.

Cho Chang Woo shook his head and humbly said, "Mr. Kim, you are very kind, I am just merely doing my job."

"I will make sure to recommend you to my friends. You will definitely have a bright future, I can guarantee that."

"Thank you very much, I wish you good luck with your proposal.", said Chang Woo.

They shook hands and Yong-Hwan left his shop.

The next day, Yong-Hwan met up with Young-Hee and proposed to her. She was very happy with the necklace and since she had already fallen in love with Yong-Hwan, she accepted his proposal. She hadn't met Chang Woo for a while and their relationship was no longer in a good place, she missed her longtime friend but she understood why he distanced himself.

A few months later, Chang Woo met Young-Hee at a social gathering in one of their high school reunions. It was the first time that they have seen each other for almost a year of no communication. As soon as Chang Woo saw her, his heart ached, seeing the girl he loved for a really long time. They talked for a while and Young-Hee confessed to him about her feelings towards Kim Yong-Hwan. Chang Woo was devastated of course, although he had already somehow anticipated that it will happen, it still broke his heart.

"He proposed to me and… and I said yes.", Young-Hee said as she revealed the necklace that was hidden under the collar of her blouse.

When Chang Woo saw the jewelry, he couldn't believe it. He recognized it right away, of course, because he made it himself. Who would have known that the necklace he was working on for a man who planned to propose to his lover months ago was actually for Young-Hee, the woman he loved. How ironic is that?

His already broken heart was shattered into pieces even more. Chang Woo then left the reunion and they never saw each other again. Ever since then, he worked very hard doing a lot of things to bring himself up until such a time that his perseverance and hard work paid off that he was able to build his reputation. Now, Cho Corporation is a reputable company and is the leading company in Country K with many businesses in different industries.

Yong-Hwan and Young-Hee got married and Chang Woo also got married 2 years later. They had their own families and although they hear about each other's businesses through the media, they have not seen each other again in person. Chang Woo's first son's wife bore a child, thus Daniel Cho came into the world. The Kim family had Samantha years later.

After Samantha told Daniel about their grandparent's history, he was quite surprised to know. Who would have thought that something like that had happened?

"No wonder the necklace was very familiar, grandfather had kept a picture of his early projects in an old photo album and he had told me a story about it a few times."

"Oh... really...", Samantha thought about it.

Daniel pinched Samantha's nose, "That was why I was looking at the necklace you were wearing when we met at the elevator! Yet you shamelessly called me a pervert."

"Huh? When did I-- Oh...", Samantha looked at him and pursed her lips, "But I didn't say you were a pervert though... I just told you to take a picture...", she chuckled when she recalled the memory.

"You still meant the same thing! Tch. Can't believe you, how about I take a picture of it now?", Daniel attempted to remove the blanket that was covering her naked body, Samantha squealed and giggled.

Daniel wrapped his arms around her, "But I'm glad your grandmother fell in love and chose your grandfather."

Samantha's brows furrowed, "Huh?"

"If she hadn't, there wouldn't be you or me.", he said as he looked at her intently.

Samantha smiled brightly which made Daniel's heart flutter. "You're right.", she snuggled closer to him.

There could have been a lot of possibilities, Young-Hee could've married Chang Woo and there would be no Samantha and Daniel.

"What are we going to do about our grandfathers? Your grandpa sure hates me now.", Samantha was actually worried about this. Though she was sure that Daniel would do everything he can to convince his grandfather, knowing what happened back then, she couldn't help but feel bad about it. How heartbroken he must be for not being able to marry his love.

"He doesn't hate you, he's just being bitter about it. Don't worry, we'll get through this.", Daniel reassured Samantha and it was all she needed to feel safe.

...

"Baby, wake up...", Daniel gently tapped Samantha's arm, "We're here."

"Ugh... I feel a headache coming.", she didn't have enough sleep before their flight because she had a lot to pack and was also cleaning up the house with Daniel after the party. Despite the amazing sèx during their mile high club initiation, the long flight affected her.

"Do you wanna go to the hospital?", he asked.

She massaged her temples, "No. No hospitals, please. I've had enough.", the hospital is the last place that she would want to be. There's just a lot of bad memories that she doesn't want to be trapped again.

Daniel understood, "Okay... I'll get you some medicine. Are you okay to walk?"

Samantha nodded as she reluctantly stood up and grabbed her bag, but Daniel took it and carried it for her. "Thanks, hun.", she smiled as she hooked her arm with his and got off the plane.

When Samantha stepped on the tarmac, Daniel kissed her head, "Welcome home."

She smiled and let him bring her to the car.

"Let's go eat dinner first.", Daniel said when they made it to the car that was waiting.

Assistant Ahn had a huge smile on his face when he saw his boss with Samantha. "Welcome back, Ms. Kim.", his grin was so flashy that it was blinding. He was so proud of himself for the fact that he was the one who accidentally found where Samantha was.

"Thank you, Ahn. It's nice to see you again."

When they got on board, Daniel handed Samantha a water bottle and medicine. After which, he allowed her to rest some more in the car. It was still rush hour when they landed so they were stuck in traffic; the good thing is that his Maybach is spacious and really comfortable.

Daniel watched over the woman beside him, his feelings were evident in his face and Assistant Ahn noticed it. His boss is definitely in love. He looked really contented that Samantha came home with him. After months of being in the dark, his face was no longer gloomy.

Will the employees in Cho Corporation finally be able to breathe after being suffocated? They were actually happy when Vice-President Liam took over the projects from Daniel when he left, although Liam was strict, he was no Devil.

When they arrived at one of the Cho's hotel chains, the two were ushered towards a private dining room. Upon opening the door, Samantha was shocked to see what was waiting for her inside.

Her family and friends were there to welcome her. Her eyes widened in surprise as she scanned the faces in the room, they all shouted "Welcome Home!". It was like a coming home party as if she went away to study or work abroad or something instead of running away. She was very worried about how her parents would react when they see each other again but there they were, welcoming her with open arms.

Samantha's mom and dad walked up to her and gave her a very generous hug, her eyes began to water right away. "I'm sorry, mom, dad. I ran away.", she murmured.

"You're home now, that's what's important.", Mrs. Kim spoke sweetly while Mr. Kim stroke her back and said, "We're glad that you're back. We missed you."

"Dopey.", Seo Joon spoke from her back, Samantha turned around and saw his brother looking healthy like he never had an accident, despite having a scar on his head which was now covered with his thick hair, no one would've known.

"Joon...", Samantha's tears fell as she called her brother, her guilt already showing but Seo Joon was quick to console her. He gave her a hug and patted her back, "Don't you ever do that again, you got everyone worried. You didn't do anything wrong. Never blame yourself for that. Okay?"

Samantha just nodded and returned his hug. "I missed you, Joon."

"Me too", he said as he gave his little sister a pat on the shoulder.

"Samantha!", a voice sounded not far from them making Samantha's gaze shift.
