We Really Are Teaching A Baby

"Now explain," Astra said while crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"Then listen carefully," Silvia sighed and like a teacher she brought out a board to write on.

This was something not in Astra's place, she just pulled it out from somewhere.

"You do understand that there are four elements," she started.

"Yes."

"One could be born with one element some could be born with two. Those born with one, that element is considered as their main element. Those born with two, their main element would be the one clearer from the other."

Astra nodded as she listened attentively.

"So you're saying that if one were born with fire and wind element. And for example fire is clearer compared to the wind, fire is their main element?" she then asked.

Silvia nodded, "That is indeed correct. Then a next level element could be used by those who have completed a two paired numbers."

"Magma and Ice," Astra continued.

"Yes, if one has the fire as a main element then the next level of it would be Magma. But for one to actually use Magma, they have to have the Land element as well. Even if they have two numbers, they wouldn't be able to use either Magma or Ice without their right prerequisite."

"They have to cultivate the pair of their main element?"

"Wow, we really are teaching a baby here-"

He could only hold his stomach when Astra threw the mug she was holding, hitting him straight to the stomach. He knew his stomach would surely be bruised over the course of the day after being hit multiple times.

"Shut up."

Silvia cleared her throat, "Yes, most people do cultivate the pair of their main element for that is stronger than the one that is not, that is if they were born with two elements."

"But, there are still rules around here, especially so since there was no one capable of having four numbers. Those born with fire or land as their main element would never be able to use ice element. The same goes with those born with water and wind element. They would never be able to use the magma element."

Astra nodded as she started getting the gist of it.

"Then if one were born with fire and wind. Fire as their main ability, their wind wouldn't be as strong as those with wind as their main element?"

"Yes, that is in the case that they have the same level of numbers. They could be on par of these people when they reach three levels higher than these people. For example, a level six wind main ability could only be contended by level nine wind secondary ability."

"I think I am getting more confused," Astra massaged her temple as she said this.

Silvia chuckled, "Very well, let's do it this way. We will be using main and secondary as designation of the abilities of those with two numbers."

Astra nodded even sitting straight like an obedient student.

"Let's say, player A has two numbers, fire and wind. Fire is his main element while wind is his secondary element. If he wants to contend with someone who has wind as their main ability he needs to have his secondary element at the very least three levels higher than their main element."

"That is how much difference a main element is to a secondary element. Now going on to the next level. I guess that you already know that someone born with two numbers but were not pairs still has no chance in using the next level element, right?"

"Yes, Fire should have Land and vice versa while Wind should have Water and vice versa," Astra answered like a diligent student doing their homework.

This gain a laugh on the side and another something being thrown at him.

"I'm really gonna keep quiet now," Hiro said gesturing like he was zipping his mouth.

"That is indeed correct, and that is the rule for the second level of power. As for the third level, there really is no particular rule, as long as one has three elements then they could use the lightning element. It has no complicated things to follow," Silvia finally sighed after saying all these.

Astra nodded as she took in everything that was taught her.

"Well, it is a bit difficult to digest everything with plain words but along the way you will surely understand everything," she then said giving Astra a pat on the shoulder.

"Then can we go home now?" Hiro who had been listening to the side in order to no longer be hit, finally spoke up.

"Silvia can, but you can't," Astra instead said.

"Why?" Hiro had a look of being wronged as he cover his stomach, protecting it from another incoming hit.

"I need to understand the in and outs of the abilities in this land. Currently they found my abilities to be pure. What I wanted to show was a level four one but ended up showing a level six," Astra then said.

"So you want me to train you? In controlling your ability?"

Astra nodded.

"I mean, you have such amazing powers why hide it?"

"Not everyone is like you," Astra replied with a roll of her eyes.

Silvia shook her head, there is also one reason why the eldest among them agreed to the plan of sending Astra for this mission.

It was because when she was given a task, no matter how much she complains she still do everything with her 100 percent at times it was even more than that.

She took it seriously and execute it beautifully.

This is something the other young ones doesn't have.

"Very well, I shall leave him to you. Do make use of him as much as you can," Silvia laughed elegantly after she said this.

"Silvia!!!" Hiro instantly complained.

"Come on now, you are among the top when it comes to understanding the level of power the abilities have, just train her before the school starts. Or you can even be her guardian," Silvia commented.

Hiro was instantly in his own thoughts upon hearing the word guardian.

Astra could only shake her head, she had one hell of a guardian after all.

'Maybe he and Kaito would get along,' she then thought.
