Day Seven, Dark

They ran through the field by the light of the moon, Markium chasing Eve as she laughed and squealed. She carried her dress and breast dagger, running as fast as she could as Markium started catching up to her. With a higher level of stamina, he could run faster and longer than Eve could. With the cottage in sight, she thought she'd finally be safe until she felt his hands grasp her waist and pulled her back into his body, causing them both to trip and fall back onto the ground.

"I caught you," he exclaimed, throwing a fist into the air. "Tomorrow we take those pelts and go to Ommaxam!"

"Fine, fine, you won!" she laughed, struggling. "Now let go before I kick you!"

He loosened his grip on her waist and she rolled next to him, laughing.

"I wo-on, I wo-on," he sang happily and sat up pointing at her. "In your face!"

She kept laughing and stood slowly, her wet hair swinging and dripping everywhere. "Alright, alright, let's get back and get some rest for tomorrow." She held her hand out, helped him to his feet and walked with him back to the cottage. They stopped in front of the shed and looked at the cottage.

"So," he started and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'll see you in the morning?"

"Uh, yeah," she replied and looked back at the cottage, seeing Ronim's figure in the window and sighed. "I'll see you in the morning."

"Good night, then," he whispered and kissed her cheek softly.

"Good night," she whispered back and slowly stepped back toward the cottage.

She stopped in front of the door, closed her eyes and stepped through the doorway.

"Welcome back, darling," Ronim's voice spoke as he lifted her into his arms. "Did you have a nice swim?"

"It was very refreshing," she replied and laid her head on his muscular shoulder. She felt his muscles ripple under her and he sat her down gently on her bed.

"Tell me the story now," he pleaded, kneeling in front of her and laid his head on her lap.

"Of Cupid? Fine but I need to get out of this wet dress."

"Say no more." He stood and knelt on the bed behind her as she spoke.

"Cupid was considered a god of love, and the child of the most beautiful goddess man had ever known. Her beauty was incomparable, people even said things were almost as beautiful as her, until one day a nobleman was trying to marry off his youngest and most beautiful daughter." She felt his hands travel along her body and slowly lift her dress off her body.

"How beautiful was she, my heart?" Ronim whispered and kissed her bare back.

"It was said by many people she was more beautiful than the goddess and that made the goddess so furious and jealous that she ordered Cupid to kidnap this mortal and make her fall in love with a hideous beast. Cupid loved his mother like no other and began to follow her orders until he saw how beautiful this woman was and decided to be selfish."

"Selfish like I am?" His lips travelled up her back and across her shoulders.

"He kidnapped this woman and held her in a beautiful castle the goddess would never find. He promised this woman that she would not be hurt, she'd be cared for and would want for naught. The only condition was that she could not look at him, she could not leave or attempt to contact anyone from the outside world."

"That's pretty intense." His hands ran through her dark locks, brushing her hair smooth.

"She was happy with this arrangement until she began to miss her sisters and asked Cupid if they could come and visit. Cupid heard her sadness and agreed, but was very wary of her sisters. While they visited, they started talking about Cupid, saying it was ridiculous that she didn't know who he was or what he looked like or anything about him other than that he was a gentle man who came to her at night to sleep." She paused, waiting for a response from Ronim, maybe verbal self reflection but heard nothing and continued. "They gave her a dagger and told her to kill him while he slept and escape back to her home. She eventually gave in and that night, she snuck into Cupid's room and finally saw who he was. She dropped the dagger, waking him up and he fled, saying she wouldn't love him for who he really was rather than who he was portrayed as. He thought she would only love him for being Cupid instead of who he was with her. He told the goddess where she was and what had happened and she kidnapped and locked away the woman so she wouldn't hurt Cupid again."

Ronim lifted Eve into his lap and laid back on the bed, cuddling her into his chest.

"That's why you call me Cupid?"

"Well yes. I don't know who you are, I only know how you act around me. You promise to give me anything I want as long as I don't look at you, and you care for me in ways no one else does."

He lifted her chin slowly and kissed her gently. She felt a rush of power and warmth again, and slowly placed a hand on his chest.

He moved her legs slowly so she was next to him and carefully slid her leg up his. Her knee rested between his legs, his hands slowly cupping her thighs and slid her up his body. Her lips parted in a gasp and welcomed his tongue to caress hers. His hand travelled over her buttock, around her waist and stopped on her heaving breast, his warm fingers rolling her nipple between them as they kissed. She moved her leg slowly and straddled him, feeling his swelling member under his leather pants, throwing her control away. His hand moved from her thigh and waved over her eyes slowly, a blindfold appearing over her eyes. His hand fell back to her buttock and they lifted off the bed slowly, she felt him press her body to his with both hands as they decended back to the bed with her under him.

"Ronim," she breathed as his lips travelled down her neck to her shoulder.

"Yes, my love?" he whispered softly and continued kissing.

His hands were gentle on her skin, his lips travelled slowly along her collarbone, leaving a warm path of kisses, his breath left goosebumps all over her body. He slowly slid one hand down her body, gentle grasping the bend of her knee and pulled her leg up higher until she wrapped her legs around his waist, feeling his muscles with her feet.

"Ronim," she gasped softly as she felt the leather of his pants slowly vanished from his thighs and his swollen manhood touched her.

"Yes, Eve," he whispered, his lips traveling lower on her body.

She felt his member move slowly until it began to enter her body. She gasped and pushed herself up on the bed, backing her head into the wall. "Ah! Ow."

Ronim knelt in front of her and caressed her cheek, whispering, "Are you okay, darling?"

"I... I don't know if-"

"Eve," Markium called from the door. "Are you okay?"

Eve gasped and turned toward the door, the blindfold still covering her eyes. She tore it off and Ronim was gone, the only evidence of his presence being a divet where his knee was.

"Eve," Markium called again. "Are you okay?"

She pull the cotton blanket off the bed, wrapped herself up, and opened the door slightly, peeking out to Markium in just his pants.

"Are you okay?" he asked again, concern spreading across his face.

"Yeah," she answered, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Yeah, I'm.. I'm fine, just had a bad dream, I guess.

Um, we should get some sleep if we're leaving tomorrow morning."

"Yeah, uh... sure," he sounded disappointed and turned away. "Good night."

She reached out slowly and put her hand on his shoulder. "Markium."

He turned slowly and looked at her, curious. She stepped through the door, put her arm around him, pulled him close and kissed his cheek softly. "Good night."
