The missing daughter

Janice went inside the ladies restroom and heard some really low cries. She knocked on the door and asked "Alena...are you okay dear?"

Of course Alena was not okay at all. Though as a girl who did not see her parents for 10 years and now suddenly seeing them care and even her childhood memories rushed back Alena had mixed emotions of both the love and slight hatred... Afterall, they didn't show up on funeral or came back when she needed them.

After 5 minutes of waiting, Janice heard the knob turning as the door opened and Alena came out but she just passed across her mother and washed her face. Ms. Janice somehow had no courage to ask her anything, she knew she was at fault and the fact that their daughter has full right to hate them. She just followed her daughter to their VIP room where Mike and Jordon were waiting.

"You okay?" Mike asked.

"Yeah...sorry for the interruption...just continue whatever you guys were doing." Alena said.

Mr. Jordan was going to say something but Ms. Janice who was standing behind Alena shook her head and signalled him to not say anything and just carry on the buisness.

Alena was silent the whole time and did not show a single movement in her body during the process of the meeting. Just when Mike said "I guess this all should fine, right?" and Mr. Jordan and Ms. Janice agreed, Alena looked at Mike ignoring the two people sitting in front of her and asked "You done, right? Now... let's go somewhere else."

"For...?" Mike asked.

"For? Dinner of course! Are you not hungry?" Alena asked.

"It's a restaurant Alena...they too serve food." Mike said with an awkward expression on his face as he waved the menu card in front of her.

She snatched the menu card and took a glance at every page and said "Hmm..nothing that I like is served...now let's go?" Alena asked with fury in her eyes but a smile on the face.

Seeing such an expression a chill ran down Mike's spine. He looked at Mr. Jordan and Ms. Janice and said "Well then...Our company is pleasured to work with you and I'll be taking my leave."

Mike and Alena left the restaurant and went to a near by street food stall.

"This is food." Alena said.

"You like street food more?" Mike asked.

"Of course! It's cheaper, tastier and the best part is...I never regret coming here." Alena said.

Seeing Alena enjoying the street food with wide smile on her face, Mike was just amazed that how...this girl who might have just cried in the washroom a moment ago and was buring in fury, now was smiling. When both of them were enjoying this time Mike somehow felt that someone was taking photos as he heard the snapping sound of a camera.

"I'll be back in a minute." Mike said.

Mike looked around but found no one. As he found no one Mike assumed that he might be hallucinating.

"You have only one ice cream left?" Alena asked to the ice cream man.

"Yes mam."

"Uh..ok just give it to me but you got at least two spoons, right?" Alena asked as she took out her wallet.

"Yeah." Ice cream man said as he gave the cone and two spoons to Alena.

"Here. You like this flavour?" Alena asked.

"Uh...why don't you eat it..." Mike asked.

"I am not fan of butter scotch...let's just share it." Alena said.

After the ice cream, Mike dropped Alena at her home and drove back to his home. Though Mike slept right now peacefully but a big disaster was waiting for him in the morning.

*********************

The next day, morning.

The moment Mike woke up, he was called by his father the first thing in the morning.

"Dad?" Mike asked as he walked in his father's room in his half asleep half awake state. Mike had already messaged his team that there would be no training in morning 4:00 am. So, he had taken this chance to take a sleep as somehow he felt tired...maybe due to yesterday's incident.

"Get ready in 30 minutes. You are coming with me to the office. And, you will also pick up Alena Willson." His dad said.

Mike's sleep went in seconds just when he heard Alena's name.

"But dad...I have college.." Mike said.

"Go in half...it might be done by then...if Jordan agrees.." Mike's dad said.

He got more and more confused as he heard the names Jordan, Alena.....But Mike didn't ask about this to his father but he went to his room. As a college guy, he turned on his phone. The first notif he saw was a news headline related to the buisness world.

The headline read

'Is this girl, the missing daughter? Is she one who will take over the Willson & William fashion? But if so, why wandering around with the famous going-to-be-heir of the Angelo's Trends, Mike Angelo?'

Mike didn't even bother to read the whole article as he had understood what might be the news and why his dad called him in the early morning. He soon rushed to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready.

On the other hand, Alena's home.

Alena who was sleeping peacefully was disturbed by some noises that came from down. Alena got up from her bed and headed to her balcony just to look at some flash lights coming from the reporter's camera blinding her for a short period. Seeing such a thing, Alena walked inside her room again.

Just at this moment, her phone rang. It showed Mike's name. She picked it up without any delay.

"I am coming to pick you up, get ready." Mike said.

"Uh...but at least tell me what's happening?" Alena asked.

"Don't worry you will know everything soon." Mike said.

After saying this, Mike hung up the phone and drove to Alena's home. Alena too rushed herself to get ready.

After 15 minutes, Mike reached at Alena's home and witnessed a huge crowd of reporters. He wore his goggles and walked straight up to the crowd and then made his way to Alena's door.

While the reporters asked him question, he ignored everyone but messaged Alena on her phone.

"I am here, you ready?"

An instant reply came from her side with the saying "Yeah..."

After her instant reply, Alena opened her door.

Mike somehow managed to get Alena out from her home.

Angelo's Trends. Conference room.

Mike's father and the PR team was already sitting inside and waiting for them

"Good job son!" Mike's father said as he saw that his son perfectly did the task of bringing Alena from her home to the office.

Mike and Alena took a seat on the left hand side of Mr. Angelo who was sitting at his CEO chair of the long table.

"So...dad...what is the strategy?" Mike asked.

"Wait, Jordan and Janice are on there way." Mr. Angelo said as he looked at his wristwatch.

After a wait of 5 minutes, Mr. Jordan and Ms. Janice arrived at the conference room with their PR team.

"So...finally...just tell me you have decided to sort everything out." Mr. Angelo said.

Seeing the casuality in his father's tone, Mike was a bit confused so he asked "Dad..you know Mr. Willison and Ms. William?"

"Know? We've grown up together! As for Janice...I met her in middle school." Mr. Angelo said.

Mike was quite shocked to know this but he just shook off his shocked look from his face and kept a calm.

"Now back to the topic, look Jordan...not only the reporters who are interested in buisness and report about it are the only one who are curious why you two disappeared 10 years ago and didn't come back to Country I. There is also a certain someone who is interested in that as well." Mr. Angelo said as he took a glance at Alena.

Both Jordan and Janice knew what their friend was talking about. Today Mr. Jordan had made his mind and said "Yeah."

Now, you guys must be thinking that if the Mr. Willson and Ms. William were the one who disappeared for 10 years then why is the news about Alena, right? Well, until Mr. Jordan and Ms. Janice were together there somehow was at least one news about Alena almost daily.. but when they left, the company's news could be traced but not Alena's as she was left in Country I while these two were in Country C.
