"Zero, it's me, brown hair girl, and the other kids you met a week ago. Remember us?!"
"Of course I do. You guys are the first people I've had a decent conversation with in a while. How could I forget?"
I looked over at Haku and he was sulking. "What's wrong with you, Haku? Is everything okay?"
"You never told me *these* handfuls were your 'friends.'"
Oh? I had no idea what his issue was, maybe I'm pushing him over his standards?
"Haku, is that you??" One of the guys was surprised to see him.
"Haku-kun!" Brown hair was, too.
"Don't talk to me."
And Haku being cold? Can someone please tell me what was going on?! "Um... you guys know each other?"
"Yeah, all four of us knew him in middle school, and we became friends until Haku decided—"
"That's enough, Yaki!"
So that's what brown haired is named. Yaki.
"Tsk, I'm going to the principal's office. Later, Zero."
"Don't mind him, it's just some things that happened between the two of them. Nothing to be too worried about."
I was gonna ask what happened, but I guess that's more suitable for the future.
"Well, since you already know my name now, I think we can tell you our names! I, 'brown hair,' am Yaki Motoshi, and the other happy-looking girl is your average cliché fangirl, Komari Naoto. The tall guy is Dai Yuji. The other shy guy is Yanimi Isama, and that's all of us." All of them have such nice names while I'm stuck with just 'Zero.'
"Guys, I think we should get going, class starts in three minutes! Zero, I think you should get going too, you're about to be late." Dai reminds everyone that we have to leave, but I might have a little time left to speed-run to the office if I can remember where it's at.
"Let us know how you do when you can! Bye, Zero!"
Who knew I could actually make friends on only my second day visiting this school.
"Ah, I finally made it to the principal's office. I thought I would never find it."
I knocked on the principal's door. "Come in!"
I saw Haku sitting in the chair across from the principal's. "Haku, you are dismissed."
He walked by me. I smiled, but he didn't smile back, he just glared like he didn't know me.
"Ah, Miss Zero, please sit down." I honestly really hope I get in the—
"You got accepted here."
"Really!?"
"... Yes."
"Oh, sorry for yelling." I really do have a bad habit of yelling.
"Oh, no, it's okay."
I looked over behind her and saw what looked like a new uniform. "You will be starting tomorrow. All you have to do is be here around 7:45 AM and stop by my office so you can get your schedule."
"Okay, I will be there, but... miss... the guy that just walked out, is he going to be attending here too?"
"Oh, I take it you know him? He actually is going to start today. He came two weeks before you had first appeared at this school. He wanted to go here to take extra classes."
I never knew they had different classes here at Kijono. "Extra classes? Like what? I never knew there were extra classes here."
"Some of them are cooking classes, drawing classes, and animation."
I wonder what classes Haku was in. I bet it's something cool like drawing. "May I ask what class Haku is in?"
"Heheh... you see, I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone so... sorry."
"Oh, okay then. Well, I guess I'll get going now."
I stand up and the principal hands me the uniform. I get ready to walk out the door. "Oh, and Zero... I forgot to tell you they only had boys' uniforms left... the board said it's okay as long as you don't mind."
I looked down at the uniform. I didn't even realize I was carrying a guy's uniform. "Oh, uh... it's okay, I don't really like girly things anyways."
After that, she looked relieved. "Thank goodness. You have a good rest of your day, Zero. See you tomorrow."
I walked out the door. I was so happy I finally got to go to school. It felt like I got to start over again.
