In the early morning, sunlight peaked through the gaps between the curtains of Daniel's room. Daniel woke up to feel that he was wrapped in all sorts of blankets. Try as he may, he could not escape the snuggled embrace.
Left to his thoughts, Daniel began to think of what he would do. In his past life, he wanted to do more than just singing. He had attempted to dance and act but he soon realized that he had no talent in both. As he became more famous, his fear of performing poorly stopped him from attempting. Eventually he gave up both leaving a deep regret he would live with.
Music would be apart of him and nothing he could do would change that. This time however, would be different. He would develop these skills and give it his all. Daniel believed that as long as he continued to practice, his effort would show even if he didn't have talent.
Suddenly, Amara walked through the doors to find a baby staring at the ceiling as if in a daze. Smiling, she softly whispered "Good morning love" as she picked Daniel up. She walked through the orphanage's corridors and entered the dining room. Placing Daniel in a baby chair Amara began feeding him some baby food. Though Daniel heavily resisted, he could only grumpily accept.
For the next few days, his regular schedule would be in eating and sleeping. Of course he was not entirely slacking off. Daniel tried to find any information to where he was. Daniel figured out that he was in an orphanage somewhere in New York, America. He had also found out that the date was March 15th 2005.
It took Daniel a long time to accept the fact that he had actually time traveled. In his previous life, he had died in 2028 meaning he went back 23 years. Reincarnation and time-traveling was a lot for someone to take in. Daniel felt a sense of isolation but also noticed a sense of opportunity.
"This must be how Marty felt when Doc sent him back" he thought.

"The coffee felt more bitter than usual" Amara thought as she ate breakfast.
It had been more than a month since Daniel had come into the orphanage and she had grown fond of the baby boy. Whenever she would enter his room, she would always find him staring at the ceiling. The strange part that she had come to like about him was his big hazel eyes that seemed as if it had seen the world.
As Amara finished her breakfast, she had began to reminisce about Daniel's time in the orphanage.
"It was hard to put a finger on it but Daniel was different from all the other babies I had ever seen. He would not cry nor make a mess, and when he was left alone he would always try to escape his room. I'm going to miss this eccentric fellow" she sighed.
Amara walked into Daniel's room with a sad but smiling face. She picked him up and left towards one of the offices of the orphanage. When Amara put Daniel down he saw two people looking at him with warmth and care.
There was a 5"10 tall white women with blonde hair. Her name is Ellen and her figure could allure any men. However what captivated most were her sky blue eyes. She had started a small business in her teens and eventually became the CEO of a successful corporation at a young age of 30. She exerted a opposing aura of respect and dignity
Beside was a white 5"8 brunette with shoulder length hair. She had thin eyebrows, delicate lips, and amber eyes. This was Amelia and she was a successful author at a young age of 29. She is passionate to writing and even more so to her family. A year ago she had hit a writer's block and realized how much she wanted one more child.
Both Ellen and Amelia looked at Daniel with warmth and love. Amelia especially could hardly wait to hold him in her arms. They were married to each other and they already had adopted two young girls. The couple always wanted a baby boy and after months of waiting, an Orphanage contacted them of Daniel.
Amara had met the couple weeks ago when they started applying to adopt Daniel. She had never met a couple more qualified and she believed that Daniel would live a wonderful life after he left. Though she had to admit she would be sad to see him gone, she was comforted by Daniel's future well-being. Seeing Amelia's excitement, she smiled and was about to hand Daniel over when she felt a soft feeling wrapping around one of her fingers. She saw Daniel holding her finger while smiling at her. She bent down to kiss the boy's forehead and let him go. It was these kinds of moments that gave meaning to Amara's life.
Amelia held Daniel as if he was the most precious thing in the world. She started tearing up and looked to her partner to see her face redden a little. She knew that she was just as happy as she was.
"Thank you Amara" she genuinely said.
"No, Mrs. Walker. Thank you." Amara replied while reaching into her pocket and reached out to give Amelia a necklace with a single wooden bead with the name Daniel engraved on it.
"This bead came with Daniel when he came to us. It's the only thing we have of Daniel's past".
Ellen took the necklace and gave a small smile to Amara in appreciation.
After a moment of affection, Amara saw the couple and Daniel out the door with a smile.
