Alice

Alice felt a little guilty as she made her way towards the club. It has been four days since Lucy's disappearance and the police have finally stepped in. For now, they could only wait as the authorities finish their investigation.

Lucy was like a sister to her and she wouldn't admit it but the girl's disappearance shook her to the core. With the tragedy hanging above their heads, Monica needed someone to lean on and Alice tried so hard to be that someone for her but the pressure and the worry were starting to get through to her that she needed a break - even for just a night.

Tonight, she just wanted to get lost in the alcohol and dancing and despair.

The club was just across the gasoline station, accessed by a small door by the sidewalk. A friend told her that it's one of the hottest places in town right now and she decided to check it out. At least, that what she tells herself. Alice knew deep down that she chose the bar because there would be a slim chance of her Monica knowing about it.

She found the entrance easy enough. There were bright pink neon lights on the doorway and pink 'DANGER' tapes all around it. There were several people loitering about, the smoke from their cigarettes mixing with the cold night air.

She stepped in hesitantly and followed the music and the throng of people. The dimly lit hallway led into the basement where the huge dance floor was located. Alice thought that it was just gonna be an open space with crappy lights and ordinary stools and tables around but it wasn't.

The ceiling was so high that you couldn't even see it and the three huge chandeliers looked as if they were floating in the dark. There were smaller, dimmer lights scattered all throughout the place that it was easy for her to find her way.

Alice was on her third bottle of beer when she saw her - Lucy.

No, it can't be, she thought.

The place wasn't as packed as he expected and there were enough lights all around and Alice has a high alcohol tolerance so she knew that she's actually seeing Lucy. There she was standing out from the crowd of dancing bodies, looking straight at her. Alice got up from the bar and made her way towards the girl, never once letting her out of sight.

It's really her.

The crowd of bodies seemed to get thicker as she neared that Alice had to nudged some people out of the way. One girl seemed to take offense and jostled her back, causing her to break her stare and when Alice looked back at where Lucy was, the girl wasn't there.

She looked around the room, trying to catch a glimpse of where Lucy went but her attention was drawn away by a girl in white wearing a black bunny mask.
