Jae took his time in choosing a class for his new character. He's been contemplating whether he will be going as a Blade Emperor again or choose another class; he's been a Blade Emperor for a very long time after all. When he first started playing Rampage, there were less classes to choose from, but over the years, more and more classes has been added. He gave himself sometime to think it through, but in the end he kept overthinking, to the point of him not being able to decide.
"Ughh!.... It's not suppose to be this hard in choosing a class, right?" Jae groaned in frustration.
He carefully went through all the classes one more time. In the end, Jae went with Nico's recommendation and went with the Dragoon. Since he picked male, his class would also correspond with the gender that he chose.
After picking the class, now comes the most fun and time consuming part of making a character, its appearance. Of course the <
Creating the perfect character that one wants, considerably takes a lot of time; mostly spent on "though choices" that needed to be made, especially if one is an indecisive person. Granted, with dozens upon dozens of options to choose from, it's bound for one to take more time and effort to ensure that they are going to leave the Creation Field without any ounce of regret in their hearts.
Jae let out a deep breath before starting with his character's base, which are: the height, body structure, and skin tone of the character. He started with the height of his character. He adjusted and readjusted his character's height back and fort until he was satisfied with it. He then moved on with his character's body structure, where he went with a lean athletic type build as a whole, while giving some parts a slight tweak here and there. He bypassed the body hair section, since he wanted his character to be body hair free and finally chose to have a light skin tone for his character to finish off the base section of the character. He spent almost an hour alone just for the base of his character, but he made sure he took his time because, to Jae, creating a character is a very important aspect of playing Rampage, or any other game. He needed to be happy with how his character looks, because at times, a character's appearance can also be a source of motivation.
After going through with the base, he went ahead and continued with the head section. He first adjusted the shape of his character's head size, face and ears, mouth, eyes, brow length and lashes; before moving on with the hair. He chose a mid-length messy but spiky hairstyle and made his character's hair and brows, white. Bypassing the facial hair section, Jae moved on to the eye color section for his character's eye color. With the color of the eyes, Jea totally went extreme with it by choosing the perfect shade of red, which was like a mix of ruby red and blood red. He then chose to put a thin eyeliner on his character, making his character's eyes pop out more.
Feeling satisfied with what he had accomplished, he is finally only one step away from completing his character. Now all he needs to do is name his character.
Closing his eyes for a brief moment, a soft smile appeared on Jae's face as the perfect name instantly appeared in his mind. His eyes quickly snapped back open, then typed in the name of his character, finally putting its creation into completion.
A system message appeared before his screen, asking him for confirmation if he would like to finish the character creation. Without an ounce of doubt in his mind, he pressed yes, finally giving birth to his new character that would accompany him towards his new journey.
Jae felt deep emotions well up inside him as he stares at his newly created character with admiration and satisfaction, bringing him great excitement on the brand new journey that lies before him.
Who would have though that earlier Jae was having second thoughts, when now, all he could ever think of is how excited he is to play once again.
Once the character creation was completed, Jae immediately loaded in his new character in the game.

GentleBreeze stood in the middle of a peaceful and quiet town, under the soft glow of the moon, as the cool breeze gently passed him. As the sweet gentle tune of the town's theme filled Jae's ears, a soft smile spread in his face as nostalgia hits him hard, straight in the feels.
"God, I miss playing this!" Jae said softly, as his body buzzed with excitement.
Although Jae hasn't really stopped playing for a long time and in fact been playing in the professional scene for over two years, he was missing the enjoyment that Rampage brought him when he first started. He missed the stress and pressure free environment, that the professional scene brings every time he competes for victory. After experiencing the professional scene, he suddenly lost track of why he played Rampage in the first place. How to attain victory; in desperation, that was instead in Jae's mind day in and day out. Stress and pressure clouded his once bright passionate heart towards Rampage, making him suddenly start questioning himself if it was all worth it?
At that time he thought that it was all worth it, because the professional scene brought him fame, so he didn't complain, but after he lost everything, he asked himself once more if it was all worth it. All the answer that he could give himself was a bitter laugh.
Now that the cloud that's been covering his heart for a long time, has finally disappeared; the fire in him has been rekindled and is now burning brightly like never before. And all of that was thanks to Nico, who helped him find the spark that he once had.
< Would you like to take the tutorial?: Yes | No>>
Jae clicked "No", since he already knew how the game works. He would just be wasting a lot time if he went through all of the tutorial once again. Although he would be missing out on some of the EXP that could be acquired while doing the tutorial, he could always make up for it in some other way along the road.
Jae first clicked on the mail icon, and saw that there were 3 mails waiting for him. He then opened the first mail:
[Welcome to Rampage!
Welcome to Rampage! We hope that this items will be of help in starting your journey.
5 <<100% EXP Scroll (1 hr)>>, 50 < Jae already knew about what the contents of the mail was gonna be, since he also received the same mail when he first started playing with his old charter. Any newly created character should be receiving the same mail as he has. Not wasting anymore time, he clicked on confirm and the items were automatically transferred to his inventory. Moving on the second mail, it was also a welcoming gift from Rampage, which contains a < Jae then moved on to the last and final mail waiting for him, and opened it.
[Dear Player,
Thank you for playing Rampage from the very beginning! We truly appreciate the continuous love and support that you have shown Rampage over the years and as a token of our appreciation, please accept this gift, that it may help you in your journey to become the greatest!
- Rampage Team -
-One character per account is only valid to claim the reward(s)-
< Jae was in complete shock. He hovered the cursor over the gift, which only made his eyes widen even more. Not only was it an Avatar set, it also has a never before seen special effect!
< Avatar Special Effect: Aurora Genesis (Passive) - Increases all base stats by x10 according to current level (Eg: 10 x (Current Level) 80 = 800* Increase in all base stats). (Note: When Avatar is unequipped, the character's base stats will also return to original.)
Jae was truly stunned. Yes, Avatars can have some special effects, and it's already a pretty big bonus if an Avatar even has one, because players usually buys or creates them for cosmetics purposes only. Never before has Jae seen an Avatar that directly affects the stats of a character, until that day. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, in fact he even started questioning if the Avatar was too OP. But then after he thought about it some more, he then dismissed the idea. Considering some of the equipments and items that he has seen over the years he has played Rampage, the Avatar's effect would pretty much pale in comparison. So, instead of being doubtful he chose to be happy, as he just received a really amazing Avatar.
Pressing confirm, the avatar was sent to the avatar section of his inventory. Excited about the new avatar that he just obtained, Jae immediately opened his inventory, then clicked on the avatar section. There, a single avatar lay, shining with it's diamond boarder. Jae right-clicked on the avatar, immediately equipping it.
In a town where players starts their journey, in the middle of it, GentleBreeze stood out; wearing a long white open coat that lengths just above the knees, a black low-rise pants with multiple belts and chains crisscrossing each other, and black boots. Inside the coat, GentleBreeze wasn't wearing anything, instead it showed his muscular toned body marked with cool looking abstract tribal tattoos. In contrast to everyone around him sporting low level equipments, it sure made him definitely stand out.
GentleBreeze wearing < Jae couldn't help but admire his character for a few more minutes before finally moving on.
After standing in the middle of the town for a long time, GentleBreeze finally started moving. He ran to the closest NPC and talked to it, giving him a quest. He then moved on to the next NPC to do the same. GentleBreeze repeated the cycle until all NCPs were spoken to and all quests were take.
Raising GentleBreeze's level to 10 was no sweat. The first quest that he got was a chain quest that required him to talk to multiple NPCs across town. Not only did the quest allowed him to reach level 10 without any hardship, it was also really convenient for him, since he could also get all the side quests along the way.
A huge wasteful habit of new players, is that they completely bypass the side quests and only focuses on the main quest. Starting out, of course one would like to save as much resources as possible, and one way for that to happened is through side quests. Not only do they provide more EXP, but they are also a good source of utilities like potions and such, that would help lessen the expenses of players, instead of constantly buying them at such a high price at the NPC market. Side Quests are not necessary mandatory for every player to do, but they most definitely provide a huge help along one's journey.
Also Side Quests are also very convenient in saving time while maximizing the EXP gathered by a player, since the requirement(s) in completing a Side Quest never strays too far from what the Main Quest is.
And so, Jae finally sets fort to his new journey, accompanied by his new partner GentleBreeze.
