First Night

Inside her tinted glass unit, Kaylee was sitting on the couch in her living room. From now on, this is going to be her home. No need to stay late at night just to finish her cousin's or her aunt's business.

Behind her, a man walked toward her. "Let's eat." He grabbed a small remote control. And when he pressed the button, the curtain started to close off the room.

Kaylee stood up and followed him, and as they passed through their room, Christopher tossed his phone into the bed. Kaylee silently walked behind him until they reached the kitchen.

She frowned when she saw Liam eating on the table. Liam smiled when he saw both of them. He waves his hand to them. "What are you guys doing? Come and join me here." Christopher looked at the shocked woman beside him and he grabbed the softball beside him and threw it to Liam.

Liam caught the ball in a panic as he looked at Christopher. "You jerk!" Liam yelled as he threw back the ball to Christopher. He caught it. "Restrain yourself. Don't scare Kaylee like that." Liam raised his eyebrow. "Excuse me? You're the one scaring her." Kaylee's jaw dropped. 'You're both scaring me, okay?'

"Are you okay?" Kaylee came back to her senses when Christopher tapped her shoulder. "I'm sorry about that. This is us when no one is around." Liam stood up and walked toward the two. "We're best friends. Hehe"

"What people knew about us is just an act," Christopher said as he helped her sit on the chair. "You can act comfortably when no one's around."

Kaylee nodded subconsciously. He smiled. 'What's this? He's so gentle.' Liam and Christopher didn't let her feel left out and uncomfortable. 'They seem to be a nice person.'

Inside the room, Kaylee was sitting on the bed doing nothing. She observed her surroundings. 'This is going to be her room together with a man she just met. Her job is to give herself to this powerful man whom no one wants to offend. A chance of her being alone in the future is possible. Which man will accept a woman who sells herself just to survive, no one.'

The only thing she can do to survive is to be devoted to that man. Her role was simple, she just needed to act as a Personal Assistant in public and act like a wife when there were only the two of them. Kaylee shook her head. 'I am not a wife, I am his bed partner. Don't think yourself high, Kaylee.'

Kaylee lay down on the bed and sighed. On the other hand, Christopher entered the room with a paper bag in his hand. When she senses that Christopher is there, she stands up and looks at the man. The man looked at her and handed the paper bag to her. She blinked as she took the bag from his hand. "Take a shower and sleep." The man said as he left the room.

Kaylee looked at the paper bag she was holding, she smiled when she saw what was inside. It's a pair of plain blue pajamas and a toothbrush. Kaylee went to the bathroom and took a shower. After a while, she came out of the bathroom and lay down on the bed.

Kaylee grabbed her phone on the bedside table and her eyes widened when she saw the 28 missed calls and a message that said. 'Don't ever come back!' She sighed.

An hour passed. Kaylee was still wide awake. Whatever she did, she couldn't sleep. She bit her lower lip. Suddenly a man walked into the room. He was surprised that Kaylee was still awake, and he smiled. "Can't sleep?"

When she heard that voice, she looked up and saw the man heading toward the bed. She gulped. "Yes. I guess I'm still not used to sleeping on someone's bed."

He sat on the bed and looked at her. "Don't think too much and sleep." Kaylee nodded and bit her lip as she closed her eyes. Christopher gasped. He looked at the woman beside him, he smiled as he lay down beside her.

He felt that Kaylee was holding her breath. "Kaylee." The man's gentle voice rang in her ears. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at the man beside her. He's looking at her intensely.

"Y-yes?" Their eyes met. "Do you mind if we do it now?" She gasped, biting her lips without her knowing. He gulped as he licked his lips. His hand traced her chin. In just a second, his lips landed on her lips. She froze. He pulled away and touched her lower lip with his thumb. It was a five-second kiss. "Kaylee?"

"I. I don't mind." He goes on top of her. His eyes filled with lust. The back of his hands landed on her face down to her chin. He leaned closer to kiss her but stopped in the middle. Her eyes were closed while she was holding her breath.

He looked at the woman in front of him, he smiled and let out a gentle laugh. Kaylee opened her eyes and blinked as she saw the beautiful man with a bright smile in front of her. She clenched her fist.

The man gave her a peck on her lips and lay down beside her. "I may be selfish like what I've said, but I will not force you to do it with me." She looked at him. "Why?"

"At least, I want to give you the respect you deserve."

Tears start falling from her eyes. "Y-you don't need to hold back, It's my job anyway. And I don't deserve any respect. Especially from you."

Christopher was shocked when he saw her tears. "Don't say that. I want you to be comfortable around me. Be yourself and enjoy yourself. You're the one who doesn't need to hold back. Show me who you are. You deserve it, and I want to give it to you. The respect I mean."

Kaylee covered her face with her hand. Since the day her grandmother died, no one has given her any respect. She wouldn't have thought that this man, of all people, would give her some respect.

Upon seeing Kaylee's grief, Christopher hugged her. "Don't be shy to show who you are, the more we get along the more I am willing to be with you. After all, no one will know everything between us." She nodded as she continued to sob until she fell asleep in Christopher's arms.

"Good night, sleep well." He said as he also fell into a deep sleep.
