It has nothing to do with me

As soon as the movie ended, Kaylee cleaned and washed their dishes. When Kaylee saw Christopher lying on the couch in the living room, she yelled. "I'm using the bathroom in our room." Christopher just gave Kaylee an okay sign.

After bathing, she went out of the bathroom and combed her hair. She just put the powder in her face, a light red lipstick, and dried her hair. Kaylee looked around and when she saw her shoulder bag, she picked it up and went to her unit. After a minute, she checked if there was anything she might need personally.

After a while, she went out to her unit and pressed the doorbell in Christopher's. She waited for a minute before the door, opened.

Christopher bit his lower lip and smiled widely when he saw Kaylee's serious look.

"Oops, my bad." Kaylee bowed her head and went inside the unit. If it's not because of the CCTV, she won't bow her head in front of Christopher. She's in a hurry, okay?

"Are you sure you don't want me to come?" Kaylee smiled and nodded. She extended her palm. Christopher sighed and looked at her as he handed her his card. "Cash please."

'Why aren't rich people going to the market?' Kaylee thought to herself. The moment she received the money, she left the unit.

Kaylee took a deep breath. She looked at her wristwatch and smiled. "Is he waiting for me?" She was about to leave when someone approached her.

"Hey!" She was surprised when she saw who it was.

"Jacob?" The man walked toward her with a smile on his face. "I'm surprised to see you here." Kaylee smiled back. "You're alone?" The man, Jacob asked. Kaylee nodded.

"Do you want to hang out for a while?" Kaylee was shocked. Jacob courted her when they were in college, but when he met with her cousin, Aria he suddenly stopped courting her instead, he started courting Aria.

At that time, Kaylee was willing to accept him in her life, but she didn't expect the outcome after he met Aria. She was hurt, but she didn't let them see it.

She still smiled at them and talked to them despite hurting inside. Jacob apologized for his action back then so there's nothing wrong if she agreed to his invitation, right? "I'm sorry, but I need to go home." Her thoughts were different from what she was saying.

The man looked at her with a gentle gaze. "Just for a while, please?" Kaylee blinked, and she looked at the bags in her hands.

"Let me hold this." Jacob took the bags from her hands. She bit her lower lip and followed Jacob. 'Just for a while.' She thought.

Jacob brought her to the restaurant. "Let's talk while eating."

"I'm not hungry." The man looked at her. "We broke up." She looked at the man in front of him confused, "Huh?" The man took a deep breath. "Aria and I broke up."

Kaylee gulped as she nodded. "Is that so?" Kaylee looked at her wristwatch. "Yes, a few months ago." Kaylee lowered her head.

"Is that what you want to talk about, It has nothing to do with me, you know? So, will you please excuse me?" Kaylee stood up and was about to leave when Jacob held her wrist. "Wait!"

Kaylee removed his hand from her wrist and looked at Jacob. "Jacob look, it has nothing to do with me. I have things I need to do. I have to go, goodbye."

Kaylee let out a sigh of relief. 'I need to go before the boss kills me.' Jacob looked at the girl's back. He knew very well that it had nothing to do with her, it was just that, he wanted her to know about it.
