Cold look of yours

When Kaylee finished bathing, she went to the living room and saw a half-naked man drying his hair with a towel. He used the other bathroom and took a bath as she was in the bathroom in their room. She looked down as she walked toward the man. He turned his head to his right when he heard a footstep. He smiled when he saw her walking towards him. "You're done."

Kaylee looked at him and nodded. "Yes"

He hung the towel on his shoulder. "You okay?"

She looked away. "Yeah, can you put your shirt on?"

He laughed. "Yes, boss." He put his shirt on and sat on the couch, he looked at Kaylee and patted the space beside him. "Come here."

Kaylee pressed her lips together and sat beside him. "Don't boss me. You're the boss here." She murmured, and he heard her because Christopher was right beside her. He laughed. He placed his arm around her shoulder. "But you're my boss." Kaylee pouted

"What are we going to do now?" Kaylee asked as she leaned her head into his shoulder.

He smiled. "What do you want?"

Kaylee thought for a moment. "Hmm? I don't know, how about you?"

Christopher caressed the woman's hair. "I'm fine with anything..." He said, 'As long as I'm with you.' He thought to himself.

"What time is Liam coming?" She asked.

He frowned. 'Liam again?' He thought to himself. He stopped caressing her hair and placed his hand on the couch's backrest. "Do you like Liam?" She frowned and lifted her head to look at him. He met her eyes. "You like him?"

She was taken aback when the man's cold eyes met her eyes for the first time. Christopher always looked at her gently, but now it was different. It was as if he had no emotion. Her heartbeat started to beat faster, "O-Of course not." She said as her tears began to leak into her eyes.

Christopher's breathing started to become heavy and his hand subconsciously touched her face and wiped away her tears. 'Damn! Did I make her cry?' He thought while cursing himself. He hugged Kaylee and caressed her back. "I'm sorry!"

Kaylee hugged him back, "I... I don't like him..."

'You're the one I like. No, I love you. It is just that, I feel nervous being alone with you. That made me think that having Liam around is fine, though I prefer being alone with you. And why do you keep saying sorry?' She thought to herself. She can only say it in her mind, she can't bring herself to say it out loud.

"Hush." He hushed her, she wiped her tears while still hugging him.

"Don't give me that cold look of yours, ever again." His hug tightened. "I'm sorry."

Kaylee sniffs. "Can you stop saying sorry?"

She pulled away and looked at him, "I'm sorry." He bit his lower lip. "I'm— Okay!"

He smiled. "It's okay." He held her face and gave her a short kiss. She blinked as their lips parted. He looked at his wristwatch and looked back at her. "It's still early," He smiled as he wiped away her tears. "Want to go on a date with me?" She looked at him in surprise.

'Date? With him?'
