Mr. Blind CEO

As Starlight and Daniel finished talking to each other, Starlight dragged me to Daniel. 


"Mommy, I'm going with Uncle David to wait for you guys." Starlight chuckled a bit. 


"Thank you, David." David smiled and took Starlight with him.


"Daniel, how are you feeling?" I asked. 


"Just feeling a bit weak because of the pain. I feel like it's getting worse. Medication doesn't help. When I get stressed, it's painful." Daniel replied. 


"Daniel, I'm here. You don't have to suffer alone. You got me and Starlight and the others." I held his hand. I kissed Daniel on the lips gently. He slowly smiled. 


"Crystal, I really want to see you." Daniel's hand started to tremble. I hugged him and said, "I know you're in pain. If you want to see, you can always ask Starlight, me, and the others. Right? We can help you." I smiled. 


"I want to see... I want to see you... I want to see Starlight as she grows up... I want to see things." He cried on my shoulders. I rubbed his back and comforted him.


"I'll be here for you. I know you always wanted to see. I know." I kissed him on his forehead and lips. 


Daniel calmed down a bit but he didn't let go of me.


As I wheeled Daniel back, Starlight ran to us. 


"Mommy! Daddy! I got ice cream again!" Starlight said excitedly. Daniel and I smiled. 


"Starlight. After you finish, we need to pick up your sisters. Okay?" Starlight nodded and agreed. 


I asked David to take care of Daniel while I went to the washroom with the girls. When Starlight was finished, she was full of joy.


"Daddy, are you okay? Did you cry?" Starlight asked.


"Daddy is fine. Just a bit tired." Daniel tried to force a smile. 


"Daddy, Starlight is here. Don't hide if you're hurt." Starlight held Daniel's hand gently.  


As we finished, we went to pick up the twins. 


Tonight ended well but we still have to keep alert because of Jack.
