Second Week of Training

After a hectic first week of training, second week doesn't seem that bad. Starlight and Teresa got there earlier so many of the seats were empty.

Few minutes later, people started to show up. When all of the people showed up, Dr. Richard and Dr. Patricia came in and started the presentation

Starlight saw Teresa nodding off and nudged her, " Hey, Teresa... let's get bubble tea after this presentation." Teresa suddenly woke up. Starlight giggled.

Teresa replied, "Sorry, I was tired." Starlight patted her and said it's okay.

When one hour passed, Dr. Patricia asked them to do a small quiz.

"After finishing this quiz, hand it in and you guys can go on lunch break." Dr. Patricia said,

After we were done, we immediately headed out.

Teresa nudged me and said, "Let's go eat Japanese ramen, I missed it." Starlight agreed.

After they were finished, they rushed to get bubble tea because the line was long.

After getting it, they headed back. They started with the second half of the presentation which is what to do in mental health crisis situation.

Dr. Patricia: "Welcome back everyone. Right now, we are going to talk about what are you going to do when you notice people in depression, having anxiety or panic attack, or if a person is suicidal. In the first half we learned about different mental illnesses and their symptoms. Depression is a very common mental illness that affect everyone. If you notice these signs, make sure to listen to what they have to say. Stay with them and make sure they don't do anything out of the ordinary. Secondly, anxiety is common ranging from mild to severe, stay with them and call for help if necessary. If panic attack arises, stay with them and call out their names to ground them. Ask them if they need anything, get their permission if it's okay to touch them or else they will freak out. Watch for people with suicide symptoms, stay with them. Keep them away from harmful things or weapon. Here is a pamphlet and it will guide you on what to do in different situation. Hope you guys learned a lot throughout the two weeks. Next week, you won't go oversea but you guys are required to stay at your station on different floor and help out when medical situation arises. Make sure to work in groups. Thank you everyone and see you all next week."

As they wrapped up the presentations and brought their backpack with them, Starlight and her two friends were stationed on the top floor for the CEO. Of course Starlight will watch over her father and Teresa, John will be stationed outside the door just in case. Other groups were assigned on different floors and lobby.

Starlight was happy she will be able to help her father if anything happens.

Next day, Starlight and her friends were at their station early.

John: "Hey guys, when are we going abroad?" Teresa shrugged and said, "I have no idea, you need to ask Dr. Richard or Dr. Patricia." Teresa asked me whether I'm prepared for my exam or not but I told her, I'll be fine.

After few minutes, Daniel, David and James came. James told me my mother had to stay at home because my one of my twin sister had a fever. We went in to introduce ourselves as medical assistant personnel. I told my dad that Teresa and John will be stationed just outside the door and I'll be staying with him throughout the day. Daniel nodded and smiled. David and James looked at each other and chuckled.
