Yu Xuehua calmed herself down. What she needed to do was make plans, and the first step in that was power. Previously known as the Lonely Ice Maiden, a titled expert, Yu Xuehua knew exactly about the condition of her body.
Yes her birth was very similar to that of someone who had the Curse of Yin, but it was also different in many ways. Curses always produced showed signs, but special constitutions did not.
Special constitutions were divided into tiers, and only those at the top of the top known as Divine could produce auspicious signs. Her parents also neglected the divine aura seeping off of her which it was the Curse of Yin would have been fiendish.
With all the lack of knowledge and misunderstandings, her parents used the method to prolong a person who possessed the Curse of Yin's life. That was to surround her in Yang Yuan Qi and to feed her Yang attribute medicines. This was detrimental to a person blessed with a Divine Ice Yin Meridians. This made Yu Xuehua unable to cultivate and look frail and gaunt growing up, further reassuring her parents that she had been afflicted with the Curse of Yin.
Recalling this redundant situation Yu Xuehua chuckled inside. Oh, the irony. Yu Xuehua soon got up from the bed. From being used to possessing a body filled with power to having a sickly mortal body, Yu Xuehua could not help but falter a few steps until adjusting herself. She knew that she had to start from ground zero all over again. But she was okay with that. This gave her many more opportunities that she could not achieve in her past life and more importantly the opportunity to protect her loved ones.
Walking to the door many things flashed through Yu Xuehua's head. First, she had to fix the situation with her body. Only when one had martial power could one speak in this world of cultivation. The first thing was to get rid of the Yang Gathering Formation around her and clear away all the Yang energy in her body. Only then could she start cultivating. But how could she do this? She needed the help of an expert or time, the latter she did not have. Would her parents believe her 14-year-old self who had never left her room except to go to her garden?
Yu Xuehua struggled to push the tall and heavy doors open. As soon as she did she was taken aback. Standing in the moonlight in her courtyard was a person who she regarded like a grandmother and a teacher. An elderly woman, the same that had delivered her, was standing there looking at her with bewildered eyes.
"Granny Hua!" She respectfully bowed. If anyone saw an Imperial Princess bowing to an 'attendant' they would probably think that they were seeing an illusion.
Granny Hua nodded and then opened her mouth, "Xiaohua, I heard that you were acting weird earlier today but to try to step outside on a cold night leaving the Yang formations… Are you insane?!" Scolded Granny Hua.
Yu Xuehua had only ever been scared of 3 people in her life. That was her father, mother, and last but not least, Granny Hua. Granny Hua had been the one to raise and teach her mother. It was said that she was the last servant of her mother's family, that of which even her mother had no idea who they were. Granny Hua also had unfathomable cultivation. This along with the way she looked, no one knew just how old she was. Someone with her cultivation would not look as if they aged even after 100 years. She was also her teacher and the one person that took care of her over her early years.
Even Yu Xuehua with all her previous memories could not unravel the mysteries of Granny Hua nor discern her cultivation. All she knew was that Granny Hua should be from higher realms. Taking a gamble, Yu Xuehua opened finally responded.
"Granny Hua, have you ever heard of a Divine Ice Yin Meridians?"
A hint of surprise that could not escape her eyes flashed on Granny Hua's face which all the more confirmed her suspicions. But why? All she knew was that when the foreign people had tried to kill her in her past life, that it was Granny Hua who used her own life to kill them and send her away. Yu Xuehua would not believe that Granny Hua would ever have malicious intentions against her or her family. If anything, she was family.
Seeing Granny Hua not respond, "Granny Hua come in," Yu Xuehua gestured then followed the silent Granny Hua into the room.
Just as Granny Hua sat down, "Granny Hua, can you put up a grade 3 All Encompassing Barrier."
Granny Hua looked at Yu Xuehua like she was looking at a stranger, but with the wave of her hand energy ripples surrounded them.
"Speak brat, I have never taught you such things about formations and where did you hear about the Divine Ice Yin Meridians? Depending on your answer there will be consequences."
"Granny Hua, do you trust me?" Yu Xuehua looked at Granny Hua with a serious face.
A hint of shock was clearly displayed on Granny Hua's face. Was this the always timid and frail little girl that she had personally raised? No! This was not! Then a thought popped up in her mind. Unease filled Granny Hua's mind and a trace of ruthlessness filled her eyes. But before she could speak.
"Search my imprint. By heaven's laws, I allow you to search my soul imprint."
Everyone had a soul imprint which was unique to themselves. Only at birth could someone search another's soul imprint without their permission. Then a soul imprint was guarded by heaven's laws after that.
Noble families and sects used soul imprints to identify a person. The main use for a soul imprint was heaven's way to protect against practices of the evil way. There were those who could take over another body of a person. This was commonly seen throughout the cultivation world.
Yu Xuehua knew what Granny Hua was thinking and allowed Granny Hua to search her soul imprint directly. This was different from seeing a soul imprint. This was allowing Granny Hua to intricately search her soul imprint which also allowed her to destroy it. By doing this, Yu Xuehua was putting her life in Granny Hua's hands.
She prayed that the next moments of this gamble would bode well for her.
