To keep the families close, grandfather Lu and grandmother Ann convince their grandchildren to get married. Mark is a typical playboy; rude, arrogant, and thinks of himself above all. Amber is the most average girl he could ever meet. No looks and no life. His type is Rose. the beauty that had captures his heart since the first day at university. Or is it just a cover up to hide something deep in his heart? 

Now three years has passed since Mark and Amber got into this hell called marriage. He is still the same and that makes Amber more distant from him daily. In the eyes of the world the are the most loving couple but behind closed door, the story is totally different. 

Its been a month since grandfather Lu died and grandmother Ann is determined to get herself a great grandchild. The time couldn't be more wrong for Amber and more right for Mark because Rose is coming from America.

Will the couple survive? what will grandmother Ann do? What should Amber do? And how will Mark handle everything? Will he choose his own happiness over a promise?

convenient wife

One day while playing in the woods near the house they came across a beautiful path. There was a dried vine along the both sides of the gravel path leading to a small lake. The lake was full of swans "Wow its so beautiful" Amber exclaimed.  On the side hidden under the tall trees was a small cottage  with a porch. "Great grandpa used to come here for fishing" Mark told her " Grandpa Lu told me the stories. One time he told me he came with his father and saw a mermaid"


"Yup" Mark said proudly " he told me she had a long tail with all the beautiful colors of rainbow coming off of it. And she had this long red hairs with a beautiful face just like a princess. I bet she looked like you"


"Yes" Mark replied " you have red long hair and you look like a princess"


This made Amber crackle up in laughter. That was the sweetest voice he had ever heard. 


"how about we come here daily and look for her? maybe she'll come back"


"ok" she agreed. And thats how they started visiting that lake house daily for the whole month. Many a times, they would bring their toys with them, or some food to celebrate a picnic. 


"When we grow up, promise you will marry me and we will live over here" a child's promise that was "ok" but she agreed to it.
