His uncle was the one who teached him the basics of swordsmanship, but he died in a sword fight. The boy's goal is to get revenge for his uncle.

It's a good read. The author isn't english so I didn't expect perfect grammar, and the side characters feel relatively fleshed. The world building is okay, but I feel like you're releasing too much information too fast. Slow down a bit and the quality would raise for sure.
