Interfere

I have sensed the battle.

I have sensed many in the path few hours, but this one is different.

Carter is fighting it, and he doesn't seem to be winning it. He seemed to be on the defensive.

The opponent he is fighting is the same. I had sensed him fighting earlier when I entered this small region.

I wanted to run away, but I found myself stealthily moving toward the battle. Sensing the battle clearly with each step, I took toward it.

Soon, I got close enough, that I could sense the battle clearly, and my expressions turned worse.

Earlier, I knew he was on the defensive, based on his energy and other things, but now I am seeing it. I can see, he is going to lose it.

Currently, he is barely hanging, but the way, his opponent, chipping his advantages; he won't be lasting long.

I would rather not interfere because I don't think Carter will for me, but it wouldn't look good on me if he died.
