The former owner

Zhao Feng was now laying on a bed and trying to fall asleep. He had had a quite long day and wanted to fall asleep and not think of anything else.

After the old man had brought him inside he quickly prepared a bath for Zhao Feng who was completely dirty. Zhao Feng had to scrub really hard to get rid of all the dirt and blood on his body. He even had to change the bathwater three times as it had gotten too dirty.

After the bath, he wore some robs the old man had prepared for him. It was coarse and felt uncomfortable to the skin but to Zhao Feng who had been wearing just a piece of torn fabric around his waist, it felt like heaven-sent.

The old man had also prepared some dinner for him, although the dishes were foreign and unknown to him he ate it with much relish as he was famished. Finally, after eating his fill he retired to his room and slammed down on his bed ready to embrace mistress sleep.

He didn't have to wait long to get and soon became lost in dreamland. It was an unusual dream, it felt like he was watching a movie. He saw a child being born and growing up. As he kept watching he knew that the child was Zhao Feng, not him but the original owner of the body who was also called Zhao Feng. This didn't surprise him as he had expected it.

He would have called this experience recalling the memories of his past life or something of a similar vein but he called the experience like watching a movie for one simple reason, every time a new person was shown for the first time; there would be writing in the air showing their name and relation to Zhao Feng or their designation or post

This really created a disconnect between himself and the body's previous Zhao Feng As he felt all that the former experienced was just a movie and had no relation to him. Both Zhao Fengs were not the same person.

The scene played out as he had expected. Zhao Feng was born to the patriarch of the Zhao clan and his wife. The patriarch of the Zhao clan, Zhao Wencheng was a 9th stage foundation establishment stage cultivator at just 46 years of age and was known as the heaven's chosen of the Zhao clan. He was the one with the highest potential and taught to be the first one in blue mist town who could break through to the nascent soul stage.

When people learned that he and his wife were having a child they were curious about what sort of monster this genius had fathered, but they were all soon disappointed or had a mocking expression on their faces after. Tragedy had struck the genius when his first son was born. First, his wife died giving birth to his child.

Second, his son was born with a defect one which would forever make him lower than his peers, one which would make him unable to ever cultivate or strengthen his body. The son of the genius was born without any meridians, He would be absolute trash of the trash. If it were not for his father he would not even be qualified to be the lowest level servant of the Zhao family.

This had a great effect on Zhao Wencheng, he believed it was due to him his son turned out as such. He practiced a cultivation technique that he had found in a lucky encounter in the forest. It was explained that this technique gave the user great powers but would have adverse effects on one's meridians and disturb his Yang energy at the beginning stages. He had been taking medicines to balance his energy and control his meridians which inevitably affected his child's future.

He was overcome with grief and went into seclusion, he wanted to attempt a breakthrough and go find his son a path for his future, but he met his end the subsequent year when he was unable to overcome his inner demons during his tribulation to the nascent soul stage. Zhao Feng who had lost both his parents was raised by his uncle and the current patriarch of the Zhao clan. Growing up Zhao Feng had always been an outcast and bullied by his fellow peers as he was unable to cultivate. This greatly affected his personality growing up.

Zhao Feng began to live like a nouveau riche, he spent money on useless stuff and spet his days lazing about doing nothing. He went out to the streets and bullied the commoners who were very afraid of the power behind him to do anything to him.

As he grew up he kept indulging himself in food and wine and had become a fatty and the useless young master of the Zhao family. He was known as 'Fatty Feng' by the common folk and his own peers referred to him as 'pig' or 'trash'.

It was unanimously agreed upon by everyone in the town that Zhao Feng would forever be the useless pig of the Zhao family. It was why when the Liu family announced that their young mistress and the daughter of the Liu family patriarch was to be betrothed to Zhao Feng it caused a widespread surprise and confusion among the populace.

The young mistress of the Liu family Liu Xieren was known as the No 1 beauty of Blue mist city and a rare cultivation genius, everyone felt that the Liu Family patriarch must have been kicked by a donkey to engage his daughter to such a useless trash like Zhao Feng.

It was common knowledge that the late Zhou Family patriarch Zhou Wencheng and the current Liu family patriarch Liu He were sworn brothers and had at more than one point told that if one of them managed to have a son and the other a daughter they would betroth their children to each other.

Nobody expected Liu He to go through this and really marry off his beloved daughter to the Zhao family trash. When the Liu family disciples knew of this they all knelt before their patriarch's courtyard and requested him to withdraw his engagement or all of them would continue to kneel. A similar scene also played out in the Zhao Famly. None wanted their goddess to be snatched by the pig.

They all knelt there for three days until their espective Patriarchs and all the elders came and made an announcement that anyone who opposes this marriage or tries to prevent this in any way will be considered as an enemy of both the families and dealt with accordingly.

The one most surprised by this was none other than Zhao Feng who felt like the entire world had gone crazy. He shamelessly taught that the young mistress of the Liu family must have been charmed by his looks and begged her father to marry her to him. It never crossed his mind that why the number one beauty of the city would be interested in him as they have only ever seen each other on formal occasions and never had any form of interaction outside these events.

It was known that young mistress Liu would visit the Zhao family mansion tomorrow to visit her future husband and family. Zhao Feng wanted to form a good impression on his future wife so when he heard of a rare herb in the dead zone of the forest he taught he would collect it and boast in front of her of how he had braved danger to get her this herb.

Poor Zhao Feng that's how he met his end enabling the new Zhao Feng to hijack the formers remaining life and live out a fantasy.

After the scenes of Zhao Feng being attacked by a monster were played the scene ended and the new Zhao Feng drifted to sleep again.

Next Morning when Zhao Feng woke up he had a complicated expression on his face he had easily accepted the scenes shown to him they were more or less what he expected from his situation after all a trash dies for another trash with a system to hijack his body and become a hero was very common. What threw him off however was his engagement, unless the Liu family were full of idiots they will never allow for this marriage to go ahead.

The Zhao family elders were also very supportive of it, there was no villain who tried to murder him or anything, all resistance had been fully suppressed. This thoroughly scared him he had never seen such a development normally. There must be something very wrong here and the only way he could know was by today's meeting.

Zhao Feng quickly walked out of his room and headed towards the Zhao family mansion based on his memories. He didn't see the old man on the way out so he ignored him and walked out without saying goodbye to him.
