Mika had known of Analise, though she didn't know how important a person was to the Fae.
"So without Analise, the Fae would have been extinct." Mika summarized.
"Yes, without Analise's mother giving her the seeds and without Analise sacrificing her blood to plant every single seedling the Fae would not be here today."
"Why isn't this in the Fae historical texts. They all say that Analise was the mother of the Fae, though nothing else." Mika questioned the loss of history in the texts.
"Fae's history wasn't written by Analise. People have always written their own history, this is no different. " Lyra voice though was gently explaining the problem, held a hint of contempt at the historians and their writing.
"Mika hushed now. We don't have much time, and I have a lot more to tell you." Lyra turned away from Mika. Looking around the room, the atmosphere Lyra was giving off as one of a homecoming.
"As the years passed the Fae developed their own civilization under the guidance of Analise. She taught them how to make use of the trees. With hunger and shelter no longer an issue the civilization prospered... Analise at this time happens to fall in love with a male Fae named...Calico." When the name dropped from Lyra lips, Mika gasped.
"Mother!... Isn't Calico the name of the man who killed Analise." Mika remembers from her historical text. Calico was the most hated man of the Fae, killing their idol Analise.
"No!... Calico didn't kill Analise!" Lyra could stand others saying Calico murdered Analise but she would not let her daughter say those words.
Shocked by her mother's forceful exclamation, Mika waited for her mother to explain. Gathering herself Lyra settled her nerves.
"Analise and Calico were a couple, where Analise was soft and flexible. Calico was unmovable and virtuous. They ruled this world.....they were the first King and Queen of the Fae. They created this world for the Fae with their blood, sweat, and tears. What they got in return was ungratefulness."
Lyra eyes watered, the sorrow in those words would be obvious to anyone.
"After centuries of a monotonous life, the Fae were greed for excitement. In the height of Analise and Calico rule, the Umuris Empire found our planet. At the time The Umuris Empire than are not what they are now.
The Umuris Empire was more like an alliance of collective of planets under one rule. What bought the Umuris Empire to us, was their own war. They sought to invited the Fae to join their Empire.
Feeling it wasn't in the Fae best interest, Calico politely refused the offer, to the disagreement of others. To maintain a favorable relationship, some of the Fae' officials convince Calico to help the Umuris Empire in their war. Calico agreed, and offered a safe haven for the Umuris Empire refugees."
Lyra made sure Mika was still with her before continuing on.
"When some of the Umuris Empire refugees settled down on Inay, they notice the strange substance of the Fae. Catching the intrigued of The Umuris' officials, honey was giving as a gift from Calico. Under Analise orders, she guided the Umuris people on some of the usages of honey. The officials were flabbergasted of the benefits they could have. Though they could not take it in the raw form, they could dilute it stretching the quantity...As the years passed, more and more Umuris Empire people settled on Inay. It didn't take long before The Umuris Empire were building cities and pushing their political influence. Calico and Analise reached their breaking point when the Umuris Empire destroyed a village full of powerless Fae, all for the honey.
Calico and Analise called for answers. Regrettably rather than repenting for their crime, they declared war."
Mika had read this part of the Fae history. In the historical texts, it said the war turned the soil red.
"The Umuris Empire asked for the surrender of both Calico and Analise. In return, they will let the planet Inay come to be a part of the alliance. When Calico heard this he laughed at the audacity of those people. Yet when he heard similar words from his own advisors, he knew how the Umuris Empire could be so daring. There were Fae helping them. Stricken by this revelation. Calico killed and punished any who he found in cahoot with the Umuris Empire.
Foreseeing the possible outcome of their people, Analise and Calico took the front lines. With the King and Queen in the frontlines, the war took a turn for the better. Beating the Umuris Empire soldiers back to their last line of defense.
Learning how much they underestimated the Fae, the Umuris officials were fleeing from their city. Unfortunately for some Analise had entered building within their city to see a horrifying sight. The Umuris Empire had captured several Fae, tortured them with unorthodox methods. Bottles and jars were stacked holding the contents of Fae' body parts."
Lyra stops to give a moment of prayer to those souls.
"At that moment, as the Umuris people were trying to escape the city. Analise rage devoured any last trace of compassion in her. With her gifts, she set a flame to the city. Any Umuris who wasn't able to escape was burnt alive. The fire lasted one month. In the month the city was burning, Calico gave the order for any Umurians still found on Inay to be killed on sight. With the war over and all the Umurians were gone, their city received a new name, 'The City of Ash'.
