For the past fifteen days, Saavi and the healer have been continuing the procedure over and over again. The Bone Horntail bugs would be placed on Mika's body then extracted before moving Mika into the healing pod to recover.
Though they were exhausted, they didn't dare let their vigilant drop for a second.
For Mika to safely get through this, they needed to observe her blood levels to make sure she doesn't die from blood loss. Plus with the added use of Levofine to stop the pain from torturing Mika to death, the venom in the bugs was also needed to be monitored.
These three factors and getting the poison out of Mika's system had the healer and Saavi looking haggard.
Kaze wasn't so better, as Saavi was putting all her focus on the treatment, Kaze has left the handle everything else. From preparing the meals and helping with clean-up, he also had to ensure the safety of all three of them.
In Mika's residence, there wasn't a person who wasn't stretched thin.
Lord Tasar saw the state they were in and offered to send more people over to help but seeing as their young Miss was in a delicate position they weren't going to allow more people around her. Even though it would mean more stress on themselves, they found it was better to be safe than sorry.
Understanding their job, but not liking the fact they were questioning his clan's security Lord Tasar didn't offer any further.
Thinking about Mikaela's condition made Tasar think about his own daughter's condition. It has already been more than half a month since he had her lock inside her house.
Feeling bad for not inquire more about Lixiss, Lord Tasar personally decided to pay a visit.
Reaching Lixiss' residence the guards that were stationed outside weren't expecting Lord Tasar to show up. Therefore when he did show, he saw the guards very lax, even having a very open discussion about Lixiss and himself.
"Isn't it obvious to everyone in the clan that Miss Lixiss is addicted to drugs. We all seen her behavior over the past few years, she must have been using for a long time now. Hiding her away will not solve anything."
"Can you blame him? You have seen what she did to her own maid..."
When one of the guards mention this, the surround guards fell silent. They had all seen the bruises on Kasra's neck and face.
Envisioning their young miss, who they watch growing up, turn vicious on her own people left a horn in their hearts.
"What else could Lord Tasar do? As a father, of course, he's not going to punish his daughter too severely. "
"En...If I found my daughter was on Serenity, I would be reluctant to punish her. I would just want her to get better. Lord Tasar probably wanted the same."
"Ehh...If that's so, then why hasn't he visited the young miss all this time. He's been more concern with Miss Mikaela than he has his own daughter."
The group of guard felt a little awkward with this truth thrown their way. Their Lord has spent more time attending to Miss Mikaela than his own daughter.
Lord Tasar, who stood to the side hiding in the behind brushes, felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment at the guards noticing his lack of interest in his daughter's well being.
"Hey, do you think Lord Tasar knows about....that..." A guard who hadn't said much for the whole conversation reminded the other guards about a certain situation that happened when Lady Vanya first arrived here.
"If he does that would explain a lot about why he's not focused on young Miss..." The guard who spoken early about Lord Tasar not visiting thought this might be the cause.
"No, no, no. Come on now, if Lord Tasar knew about Lady Vanya's matter you think he would let them stay in the clan, not possible. Plus Lord Tasar has doted on the young miss from the time she was young, and it hasn't stopped."
Around of agreements was heard from all the guards in the discussion.
Lord Tasar couldn't take this herd of gossipping animals any longer and decided to show himself.
The one who saw him first was the guard who questions his integrity as a father.
"Lord Tasar! What brought you here?" In the guard's panic, he mistakingly questioned his lord's presence at his own daughter's home.
"Is there a reason why I can't come to my daughter's home? Do I report to you now?" Everyone heard the stern warning in Tasar's voice.
Thinking they might've been taught talking about their clan leader's family, the guards tried to subtract themselves from Lord Tasar's presence.
"No, no, no. Sir, I was just surprised..."
"How could the Udava clan house guards be so skittish? That's not good, make sure all of you go to the master of the guards for more training."
When these words left Lord Tasar's mouth, the guards knew without a doubt that Lord Tasar overheard their conversation and this was their punishment.
Lord Tasar spoke with the guards a while longer, before entering his daughter's residence.
