Downstairs, Mika felt weird. She wonder if she was supposed to leave hm alone when she knows he's upset or was she supposed to stay there silently with him. She had too many problems going through her mind for her to decide the right course of action she should have taken.

Okay...let's just finish with this trip first then think on it later. *Sigh*...Sadly I got ninety-nine problems and Ailwin is one.

Knowing that the King's people and Ruven were both taught and dead, it should be have been easy going forward, but Mika didn't understand how she and Ailwin ended up in this awkward situation.

Pulling herself together, she knew they only needed to gather whatever they could from this house and cure Braeden before returning to the academy.

Picking up the discarded book, she continued reading where she left off.

It was a while before Ailwin came back down the stairs.
