Besides the fact that he was upset with her for personal reasons. He is the Commander of this army and Mikaela had defied him.

Though he was partly responsible for not listening to her when she came to him, but Ailwin just couldn't let this past.

"Mika, I apologize for not listening to you went you came to me with this plan. It was- is an excellent plan and you accomplished it wonderfully." Mikaela smiled brightly as she walked towards him.

"…but that still does not excuse the fact that you executed it with my permission."

"This plan could only have been done tonight. We would have missed our chance if I waited until you stopped throwing tantrum!" Mika regretted the words as soon as they came out of her mouth.
