Battle Cry (2)

Thallan watched the scene with a smirk on his face. "We should have done this from the beginning."

"We didn't have any fae to give the final serum to." Gwen reminded.

The four of them stood on the battlefield, coated in Aria's gift of concealment to avoid the monsters' detections.

"Let's wait until they have broken through the gates before heading inside." Fir suggested.

"Yeah, sounds good." Thallan agreed just as one of the monsters let out a powerful cry.

On top of the wall, Braeden became paralyzed by the beast's call.

"That was a battle cry…" The words left Braeden's mouth unknowingly.
