How Did She Know?

Mikaela pointed to places on the city's map as Braeden marked them off one by one.

"Are you sure these are all the tunnels that were tampered with?" Ailwin asked looking down at the map in front of them.

"Yes. I wanted to be sure, so I went out two nights in a row to check the entrances….and some have definitely been tampered with." Mikaela reassured them.

"Did the guards see anyone?" He looked over at Braeden, who shook his head.

"No, they said that since completing the evacuation tunnels, no one in the city has noticed the change in the area nor has anyone, except Mikaela, approached since closing them up."

"Which means that someone from outside the city has found the tunnels and made their way inside." Mika announced.

Ailwin sighed, he didn't want that to be the case. Those tunnels are apart of their carefully laid out plans. If they have to give them up. It would be a waste of time and resources spent.
