Untimely Encounter

Olivia was transfered to the VIP suite just right next to the Medical Chief's office. The interior of the suite was so elegant that you wouldn't think of it as part of the hospital. Mang Berto came in with all the things that madam Odette brought when his phone rung.

"Hello?" He answered the call right away, "oh son, I'm not in the rest house right now. I am accompanied by madam Odette here at the hospital right now so please do the work for me today. I might be helping madam here for now." Then after the short conversation he hang up.

"Who was that Berto?" Madam Odette asked.

"It was Augustus madam. He came to the rest house to deliver the vermi and he was looking for me." Berto replied.

"And why did you instruct him to do your work there? What if the don will see him? You know that things between them are a little complicated for now."

"I'm sorry madam but he will be very careful there. The vermi that he just delivered couldn't be left without being distributed to your organic vegetable garden," explaine Berto.

"Whatever Berto, I just hope he would be very much careful."

Olivia was still so hot that she hasn't been awake since they left the rest house. And so madam Odette ordered Jane to sponge bathe her to help lower her temperature.

Meanwhile, at the rest house, Augustus was discretely plowing the vegetable garden and watering it. He checked for the growth of the various and newly planted vegetables. We went from one plot to another as he distrebuted equally the vermis.

It was already pass four in the afternoon when he saw a shadow from behind him. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at his back when he saw Don Maximus who was wearing a Rayband sunglasses and who seemed to have just arrived from his golf hobby.

Augustus stood immediately and greeted the Don with a scare look on his face. It was the first time they met after the incident when he was badly injured by the Don.

"Good afternoon Don Maximus," he was courteous enough but fear in his tone could not be denied.

"Continue what you're doing. I suppose you're here in place of your father." The don tappes his shoulder so he squatted again.

"Yes. He told me he accompanied Madam Odette at the hospital." Augustus told the don although he was not sure as to why his father and the madam was in the hospital.

"I know. Odette just called me in and informed me of Olivia's condition. Anyway, just continue what you are doing.

Augustus raised his head as soon as he heard Olivia's name and was a little worried to know that it was the young madam who was hospitalized. He almost forgot that he was just talking to the Don when he realized that the Don was looking at him.

"Oh, sorry don."

"What are you sorry about? Are you worried of my daughter?"

Augustus frozed with the Don's queation.

"Young man, don't ever dare to play with my daughter's emotions. She's just a kid for heavens sake!" the Don's voice raised.

Augustus just looked at the mounted vermi infront of him without a word or any movement.

"I know she likes you a lot," the Don continued, "but please don't give her false hope. Tell her that you and your friend Kristina has a relationship and that you will be going with her in Baguio. I have already arranged everything with your father. I am not only telling you this but," the Don pauses for a moment and walked a little closer to Augustus, " this is an order"

Augustus was stunned. He wanted to react but was also afraid of the Don. He also wanted to call his father for deciding something without his knowledge but he cannot disturb him for now.

He was anxious of what might have been the deal between his father and Don Maximus but then as he closed his eyes he saw the face of the young madam. He didn't know as to why he felt something unexplainable whenever he thinks of her.

"You have to tell my Olivia about it as soon as she recovers, do you get me?" The Don added.

"Yes Don, I do," was all Augustus could answer for the moment.

As soon as Don Maximus heard him respond, he passes by him and walked towards the entrance of the rest house.

Augustus went blank after what he just heard from Don Maximus. He was curious as to what was the deal all about and as to why he insisted that he gi with Kristina.

At sun down, he just walked home and he passed by a cafeteria, he saw Kristina sipping a bottled cola. He looked at her and wonder as to what migjt be his life if he would really go with her. At that moment, Kristina made a glance at his direction and noticed him looking at her intently. She waves at him and called out his name but to no avail that Augustus heard her.

She stood and walked towards him, still Augustus was thinking deeply as she tapped his shoulder.

"Hey! Deep thought huh...and that stare makes my heart pop out." Kristina held his hand as she guided him towarda the table she was sitting.

"Oh, there's nothing in my head right now." Augustus replied.

"Come on Augustus, I know you very well. We've been friends like for ages and I know that there's a lot going on in your head right now. With that gaze, gosh, i know something hard is really bothering you."

"Well, I don't know for sure as of now, really. Maybe I'm just tired after all the gardening I did for my father."

"Really? Well, if that's it, then be it. Don't just make me worry too much, ok. All we need for now is to prepare for our upcoming trip fpr the future."

"Whatever Kris, I just felt like I'm noy in a good mood for the first time ever. Can you just buy me a drink?"

"Sure August, what do you like? Coffee or milk tea ot anything?"

"Brewed coffee please?"

Kristina called out for the waiter and ordered brewed coffee and a ham and cheese burger all for Augustus. She felt like aside from something that's bothering him, he was also tired and hungry.

She enjoyed watching Augustus sip his coffee and ate his burger in a flash. She was always amazed by how he looks despite the mood he is in. She admire his manly features and even the smell of his body sweat after a long fay of hard work.

He was and has always been this hardworking and diligent to his studies and that is more of a plus to Kristina's admiration of him.

Aftet Augustus was done, they talked for a few more minutes and headed way home. Kristina drove him to his house where she greeted his mother and older brothers.
