8. Suite at Haymasan ?

What seemed like the deepest slumber of her life, Hui had woken up from that.A ray of light came in through the blinds, she tossed in bed for a bit before waking up with a jerk. Few things,

First of all, why is this bed so big and empty?

Second, WHERE WAS SHE?

Third, why does everything about this room seem so aesthetically pleasing and comfortable?

Four, why was she not in her messed up room and on her cluttered bed?

She reached for her phone on the bedside table, where she saw a glass of orange juice and a hangover pill placed in a trinket. She looked down at the screen to see 5 missed calls from Mom, 3 from Yuki, several text messages and most importantly at the time. IT WAS 7:30 AM. She felt her heart sink as she knew she is so screwed today. From she was seated on the bed, she scanned the room, touched the bed, and just then the door opened and Hui straightened up.

"Morning" Aidan's face looked like he had 10 litres of water and ate nothing but greens. His face could literally be on a billboard, his features were a good gift but the glow, the sheen on his crystal clear face could make any woman jealous including Hui, the ray of light coming in through the blinds hit his face and Hui couldn't think of anything else in the world.

"How are you feeling today?"

"OH, umm, yeah, I am better, thanks, but how did....

"Don't worry, we're still at the Haymasan Towers, it's my suite here, you weren't in a position to ride back home last night, I thought it'd be a better for you to rest here." he said placing the breakfast table in front of Hui on the bed.

"Aidan, I am extremely sorry for last night, it must have been so embarrassing."

"What you should be bothered about is to knowing when to stop, rest wasn't an issue." Aidan said with a serious tone, looking at Hui straight in the eye to get his message across that he really was worried for her last night.

"I understand." Hui almost murmured and looked down at the croissant on the plate. She looked like a 3 year old who'd been scolded for having excessive candy.

"How'd you sleep?"

"Um, surprisingly well." Hui said with a smile, popping the hangover pill and pushing it down with some juice.

"Good, and I think you should check your phone, your mom's called a few times."

"Oh yeah, I know, i did, I am gonna be so screwed."

"Finish your breakfast and I will drop you off."

"Have you eaten?" Aidan leaned over and cheekily took a bite of the pancakes from the fork that Hui was going to eat and said,

"I am done."

Hui bit her lip and smiled before she continued eating, the post hangover appetite is that of a whale.

Aidan took a seat across her and had a book he picked up from the shelf in his hand. He only pretended to read whereas he was just taking in the sight of Hui eating well, it tugged at his heart to realize how hungry she must have been feeling.

They got to the lobby and were waiting for the car.

"Aidan, I can just call myself a cab, really, it's just...

"Here." Aidan held open the door for Hui before she could let her go by herself, there was just going to be no argument about that, with Aidan involved, no chance really. He could see right through the circumstance, more than Hui. Aidan couldn't take the risk of letting her ride by herself especially after last night, where she couldn't ride even with him because of how weak she felt.

They were on the highway, when Aidan who was seated with her in the backseat, was looking out the window and Hui asked him,

"So, how'd you sleep?"

"Actually, pretty good."

"Really?" Hui asked amused.

"Well I watched you sleep and fell asleep in the process."

"What?" Hui couldn't control the smile that popped on her face.

"I mean, I'd tucked you in, but stuck around in case you needed something, and then there you were sleeping like a baby so I just reclined and didn't realize."

"Why weren't you there when I woke up?"

"I'd gone to make a few calls."

Hui thought to herself how crazy this is because she had this memory of her being a 17 year old at her best friend's new year's party and how she had to share her bed with a guy due to lack of space for people to be accommodated, she felt so uncomfortable waking up that morning but with Aidan it was the complete opposite, not only did she feel familiar, safe and comfortable but she didn't like the feeling of waking up all by herself in a bed that big if he really did sleep next to her. She was so confused about this comfort level that she felt with him, by no means did her sense of privacy feel threatened at such a close promximity with him which is usually the case in general.
