Do you gnoll the muffin man?

The gnoll scout desperately tried to escape. My sub-skills were on cooldown, so I had to gave faith that my basic attacks would be enough to finish the job.

I slashed at the back of his legs as he began to round the corner.

He dropped to his knees and I stabbed him through the back.

That was close. If he had been able to get back to the camp I would be dead for sure.

I dragged him back out of sight and looted the body by accessing the digital interface.

-Steel longsword

-gnoll ear

-2 copper

Score!

Steel longsword- 34-45 base damage 120/120 durability.

That was an amazing drop, it's not quite a magical weapon but still a serious upgrade from the shortsword I was using. This would increase my damage potential by a lot. This was exactly what I needed, which made me wonder if it was somehow Naxila's doing. I equipped the steel longsword and swung it a few times. The weapon was well balanced and heavier than my short sword which would increase my strength over time. The blade was flawless and streamlined and I was quite satisfied with it.

I returned to my post and pulled another gnoll scout, anxious to see my new weapon in action.

The gnolls were basic monsters with a limited AI that are only dangerous in numbers.

The gnoll came around the corner and I used power attack as I leaped down.

Hit!

You have dealt 125 damage! (75/200 hp)

Over half of its life was gone with one attack. I wasted no time and activated rapid strikes to finish him off.

Hit!

You have dealt 76 damage! (0/200 hp)

I realized that one attack had already killed him and chose not to attack with the other two.

You have slain gnoll scout! Gained 20 experience! (60/2000)

Fantastic, now it was really time to grind.
