In blank, each person starts with a portable storage space that is embedded within your game avatar. The game had done something new and unusual that had never been done. They made the portable storage space ,unlimited! Unlimited storage for as long as you play the game. No more leaving a weapon because you couldn't manage your space. This would allow you to get what you earn and focus on things like combat and skill level. This was perfect for a person like me who wasn't planning on following regular quest lines.
Even though I was within 600 experience of leveling up, I grew tired of fighting gnolls and wanted to check out the treasure map.
I withdrew from the gnoll camp and took a look at all the stuff I received. I had a lot of shit! Some stuff would sell for a lot, like the Warchiefs leather armor set and the Warchiefs weapon. I would have to get them on the auction house somehow, in order to get the full value.
I did feel a little like a serial killer with all of the ears in my inventory.
I took a moment to reflect on how lucky I was to get cleave. I hadn't even had a moment to check out the ability, but after using it in combat I had mostly figured it out. I was lucky because a normal level 0 character is unable to auto-generate the creation of a skill. Which is another reason that I had gone through the lengths I had to get my first class change? Only after the first specialization can you generate your own skills through circumstance. This is how I was able to create cleave, I had met the pre-requisite requirements.
I looked at the info on the ability.
-Cleave-sub skill-level 1/5- If damage is dealt in excess equal to 50% of the targets total hp, will activate cleave, which allows a second attack at 110% damage. Target must be within range of second attack.
So pretty much like I thought, would be useless against super strong monsters but great against many small ones.
I was thankful that with the pristine armor set my dexterity was now high enough to meet the prerequisites to generate the sub-skill two weapon fighting. I guessed that all I would have to do is equip another weapon in my off-hand and the skill would be created.
-I looked at the treasure map and the crude map of the area, and compared them side by side.
The treasure map described a claw like mountain, and from the crude map I saw this mountain to be very close to my location. There was an entrance to what is marked as a temple at the edge of this mountain. It showed the entrance beneath a small waterfall. Shouldn't be that hard to find. I had received two treasure maps, and at first I assumed they were the same map but the second map was different. It was a map of the hidden temple itself.
I oriented myself based upon the maps and my minimap and was surprised to see that this information had been translated into my minimap. I happily put away the maps and just used my minimap to guide me as I began walking.
Something felt off about the maps. At first I thought the avatars were messing with me but I don't think they have the power to control drops. My second thought was the AI in charge of blank, Skye. I felt she was trying to benefit me for some reason. It was most likely to effect the Avatars, but what would I really be able to do about them? I guess I did scare off Naxila with my wooden sword.
Nonetheless it was all strange.
I yelled out to the clouds, " Skye! What do you want from me! "
I didn't really expect an answer, but suddenly I was standing in the character creation room. It had taken less than a millisecond. I was in a white room with a monitor on the wall before me. The pleasant looking woman that had angrily handed down my sentence during character creation was there before me a smile on her face.
"Hello! My name is Skye! How can I help you!?"
