The Morning of Prom

Eventually Eriana woke up. I knew I had to walk on eggshells especially since her mental state was in such disarray. So I started out with casual questions. "Did you sleep well?" Did you have good dreams?. Are you hungry? To all these questions she said yes to. So when we sat down to breakfast. She was the first one to talk. "I'm 2 weeks late and I've already told Lucas but he doesn't want to have anything to do with me now that I am no longer pure. I almost lost my marbles once I heard the mean things Lucas told her. Now a little background on Lucas: He used to be my ex last year. It was after the incident with George. Last year in early spring I met Lucas Bennett. He was tall slender muscular and had a boyish look to him. All the girls envied him but he only had one girl in mind "ME". He pursued me and tried to sweet talk to me until the day I finally said yes. He was young naive and popular, where I was nerdy timid and only had a few people who I called friends. So it shocked the whole entire class of juniors when they found out we were together. But boys will be boys and he listened to his buddies and tried to deflower me but I turned him down and he hated me since then. Now back to the present the morning of prom. I made the decision that that boy was going to pay for what he did to my best friend. He of course would be the perfect topic for my upcoming valedictorian speech. I just sat there watching her eat trying to,console her the best way I could.
