Thankful

(Luna's POV)

Throughout the day, Jacob's family has been great to me. Jacob apparently has a little brother too,but he's never around much so I haven't met him yet I'm am so thankful for them rescuing me. For most of the day I just became tired and slept, until I went to take an amazing hot shower. I hadn't eaten either.

It was about 8:30 and as I was sleeping, I heard the door of the room opening and closing and I got little scared and just pretended to be asleep. I took a peek to see who it was and I could see that it was Jacob. He put something down on the dresser and went into the bathroom. I then heard the shower turn on. I slowly got up from the bed and looked at what he put on the dresser.

When I saw what it was, I took it in my hand and sat down on the couch in the room. I put it close to my chest and soon began to cry. It was my mother's necklace. She would never take it off when she was alive and now I'm holding it in my hand. All of the names of my siblings and I were based on that necklace. I was too busy crying that I didn't hear Jacob coming out of the bathroom. He came and sat next to me and wiped away my tears.

"Why are you crying Luna" he asked and I showed him the necklace. "Do you know who this necklace belongs to?" he asked and I nodded and said " it was my mother's before she died by the hands of my old Alpha and she wasn't the only one. He killed my whole family". Hearing this he pulled me closer to him and put my head on his chest. "Do you know what do these symbols mean" he asked while pointing to the symbols around the necklace. I nodded and said "these were the names she chose for us when we were born. My siblings and I had our own necklace with our symbols on them". I pulled out the necklace from shirt and showed to him and continued to speak. " The moon was for me and she named me MonaLuna. The sun was for my brother, Sundae, and the earth was for my sister, Tierra".

He pulled me closer to him and gave me a hug. I felt protected in his arms. "Hey have you eaten" he asked and I shook my head and then he replied "lets go get some food. He got up from the couch and held out his hand for me to hold. I held his hand as we walked downstairs to the kitchen. " What do you want to eat. The chef can cook anything" he asked and I said "surprise me". He smiled at me and he went to the chef and told him what to make.

"Let's go to the dining room" he said and I nodded and followed him. He took me to the dining room and he pulled out a seat for me. "Thank you" I said as he pushed the chair back in. He sat down in his own chair and we just stayed there for a little bit and just talked until the food came. When the food came I was so happy to see that it was burgers, fries and a milkshake. It has been forever since I had eaten all this. I had the biggest smile on my face and dug right into the burger. Jacob on the other hand just stared at me with a smile on his face. I saw him look at me as I was eating and I began to blush. "You look cute when you blush" he said that and my face became even more red. He just laughed and began to eat his food.

When we were both finished our food, we were stuffed. "Oh I have to show you something. Come here." he said while patting his lap indicating that I go sit on his lap. I hesitated for a moment, but still ended up walking to him and sitting on his lap. He took out his phone and scrolled through his gallery. "I made you a promise before I left and I made sure that I kept it." he said as he showed me a picture of my old Alpha dead on the floor and the Pact House burning down. I couldn't believe he did that for me. I turned to him and gave him kiss on the cheek and a hug. Then I put my head on his shoulder and started to slowly fall asleep.

(Jacob's POV)

I was taken by surprise when she gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. She is really starting to trust me. As I saw her falling asleep on my shoulder, I picked her up, carried her to my room, and gently placed her on the bed. I honestly didn't know if I should sleep on the bed with her or the couch. I don't know how she would handle it. So I made a rational choice to sleep on the couch. That was until as I was about to leave her on the bed, she grabbed my hand. "Please stay. I don't want to be alone" she said and I looked her and said "Ok I won't leave you". She ended up having a slight smile on her face. I went underneath the blankets of the bed and slipped next to Luna. I put my arm around her waist and pulled her closer to me. I was happy. This feeling inside my body is the love I already have for her. After a couple of minutes sleep took over us and we both fell under a deep asleep.
