Plump Cultivator

Brave placed the blade against Tokugawa's neck as he looked down at the stupid bastard. However, the miner's around him immediately paled and he realized the dire consequences of killing him.

Even though he was raging with killing intent, if Tokugawa died the miner's loyalty would be affected. He put away the knife, patted him on the shoulder, and helped him off the floor.

As for their health, it slowly started rising up towards 100 Hp. Inside of the base, cultivators, miners, servants, and even Brave himself would slowly recover. Their health in approximately ten minutes would be back to full bar.

Still, Brave wasn't satisfied seeing Tokugawa's pitiful face going back to work. He felt like he was slowly forgiving his best friend, and he hated that part of himself. However, compared to the part that wanted to rip him to shreds, it was like a drop in an ocean.

He walked over towards the two cultivators, meeting them at the spiritual stone formation, and asked them to begin cultivating.

Next to him, the somewhat anxious Lively wavered next to her emperor. The three cultivators who just died were gods to the villagers. She looked with awe at the five dead bodies, and the subservient cultivators standing in front of Brave.

However, noticing a smile on his face, she couldn't help but wonder why he seemed so mysterious.

Lively's little mouth then opened. "Dear emperor… it is almost time for dinner. Your face is going to get stuck like that if you keep thinking so hard!" Lively covered her mouth looking up at the clouds.

She felt like lightning might strike her at any moment, however, to her surprise the eminent Brave just laughed. Patting her on the shoulder, they walked into the sect.

He sat down not answering her as that serious face remained constant. It was like if he didn't keep that scowl on his face, the world would end and be destroyed!

However, a few moments later, Brave began laughing, and Lively finally heard him speak.

"Lively, sorry, I have to spend every moment planning, thinking, and analyzing. If I don't, we will be dead before nightfall!"

"We have to take advantage of that bastard Inferno Sect running out of cultivators. However, we should also have a few other bases around us…"

"Do you know if we got any new sect recruits yet?" Brave had already effectively turned Lively into something similar to the house manager.

Since he already knew her, he didn't mind giving her this advantage. Besides, if he wanted to, he could hire a new beautiful servant in a flash.

Judging by the long line by the sect recruitment stall, even a promise of entering the sect would soften many girls' hearts.

Lively quickly looked down at her notes, shaking her head. They hadn't gotten a single cultivator in the last twenty people!

Unfortunately, the miners would soon need to eat dinner, and stop working. They were indeed humans, and Brave had programmed that aspect into the game. However, he needed to find a cultivator even if he had to man the station himself!

If he just found one more cultivator, he could go to the West Inferno Sect to try and kill his recent opponent. However, with the threat of another attack looming, caution was his top priority!

He quickly ate some food at the table, got up and walked over to the stall. Lively informed him of what he already knew, in fifty people they hadn't even found a miner!

Along the way, he looked down for any oddities in the grass, or any signs of weird stones. If he was lucky, he'd find a clue to another inheritance treasure, and perhaps even stand a chance of living through the night.

He had programmed the game to have certain anomalies when inherited treasures were around such as the leaves on the trees. Walking past the stones, and little huts for his miners, not a single strange marking was in site.

However, luckily, a fat man was holding a stone at the sect recruitment center, and it was glowing red. This was great news, and it meant that he had a fire spiritual root!

The grades of spiritual roots were low, medium, high and peak. Each of them came with an element such as fire, water, metal, wind, or earth. However, judging by the tint of the testing crystal, he clearly had middle grade fire spiritual roots!

The chance of this happening were one in ten for every cultivator. Basically, including the one in a hundred odds of finding a cultivator, he had just received a one in a thousand blessing!

He immediately offered the man two hundred gems to hire him. With this amount of wealth, even the greediest human would immediately accept. A long silence ensued before Brave finally doubled his offer.

"If I have to give you any more than this, I will go broke and not be able to feed myself. Do you not want to join the sect?" Brave impatiently patted his feet against the ground, waiting for the man to answer, with a calm countenance.

"No, it's not that! I just can't believe it's really glowing red! Does that mean I am sick elder?"

Brave laughed already liking this fat fool! "Ha, no, it means you are exceptionally talented! Now are you going to take the gems?"

"Oh, is there a lot of food to eat? I usually eat enough food for three people… Mother always told me something was wrong with my stomach…"

"Yes, there is enough food for ten people. Now, come into the sect before we run out of food! You and your stomach will never go hungry under my watch!"

Brave immediately earned this man, Ono Takuya's trust, and he had found his third cultivator. However, it would require him a few minutes in the spiritual stone formation to truly be of use.

He immediately entered into Brave's awareness, and he quickly commanded Takuya into the spiritual stone formation. Now that he had a middle class cultivator, he could finally go after the West Inferno Sect.

For some reason, though, felt like a storm was lingering on the horizon, and he doubted his judgment. Still, he had learned from his father that taking risks was the only way forward in life.

Two of his cultivators charged down the road, scouting towards the west, in hope of finding the 'West Inferno Sect'. They quickly went past the village, and over the mountains, as Brave watched the map in his mind slowly become clearer.

He looked for any trees, or any bodies of water, that might contain a sect. Even though this was only his first time playing the game, he made it extremely life like! Finding a river along the way, his two cultivators saw a few buildings in the horizon.

A sect recruitment stall was there, but the rest of the buildings were abandoned.

Brave smiled, walking proudly into the sect hall of his opponent with his cultivators. In just a few moments, this base 's remaining resources would become his!
