"From when I was abandoned till when I turned two, I guess I was the apple of everyone's eyes. Everyone loved me in the orphanage. Even when I was little, I had long flowing black hair.

It was the envy of most children at the orphanage, even the adults. They all complimented my hair. In some way, the matron and caregivers, cook inclusive was biased to me.

Then, I did not understand the intricacies of human behavior. I assumed anyone who gave me attention loved me. I was under the impression that everybody really cared about me.
