Carl skipped work for no particular reason. He just wanted to leave. Remembering he had nowhere to go, he drove into the university compound and parked just outside her hostel.

He wanted to see as well as surprise her.

He waited until lectures were over before calling her but she did not answer her phone. He assumed she was still busy and decided to wait some more.

Around 4 PM. He saw her walking down with Isabella. He quickly alighted the car. He was about going to her when he saw Sean with flowers chasing after them.

Immediately, he stopped just to see what was going to happen. A part of him wanted to drag her away so she doesn't hear anything he has to say but he also wanted to know what she would do.

He tensed up as Sean approached them.
