The old library was situated t the extreme right of the campus and behind it there was a small lawn with a few tress scattered here and there. In the shade of some trees there were some wooden benches as well. I had been there only once when Kevin had shown us the library as part of the tour. I really liked the atmosphere over there with the calmness and quietness. If you were lucky you could even see some swallows perched on the branches.
After my lunch with Brynise and Gaya, I walked towards the old library and the closer I reached, the more nervous I became. I hoped that Dave didn't get a bad impression about me and took me to be an easy girl with loose morals. When I walked along the corridor which led to the library I could see very few students as it was such a remote area, far from classes and the canteen. Dave was at the end of the corridor, a few metres away from the double-door which led to the library. I quickened my steps, just sparing a glance at the door. Through the transparent glass of the door I saw only shelves filled with books and a few empty tables.
'Hey, your lunch was okay?' I asked him trying to divert the conversation to a safer ground.
'Ya, we went to a small restaurant on the other side of the road. We can go one day.'
At the thought of going out to lunch with Dave, my heart clenched and started singing with happiness.
Dave started walking and I followed him. He stepped off the concrete flooring onto the grass a few metres away. He pointed to bench which was ahead of us, partly sheltered and hidden by a big mango tree. The grass muffled our footsteps and I was happy I was not wearing heels on that day. He waited for me to reach his side before inviting me to sit. Out of habit, I passed my hand on it to make sure it was dry. It was, and I sat down on one edge, putting my bag next to me. Dave then sat down next to me. We looked odd sitting like that, me, so upright as I found myself unable to relax and him being quite relaxed.
'Well, what did you want me to show you?'
'Uhhh....,' I stammered.
'You know, you were asking me to repeat something?'
The edges of my ears became hot and I was sure they had turned red as well. A tendril of hair had escaped from my ponytail and I started playing with it before pinning it behind my ears. I needed something to do with my hand, I needed to keep them busy otherwise they would start shaking.
Dave reached out his right hand and captured both my hands in his, engulfing it in its warmth. I was surprised by this sudden act of his and I froze. With his other hand, he picked up my bag from between us and moved it to his other side. He gently slid closer to me until our shoulders were touching. He took his hand and lifted my chin, turning my face to him. My eyes met his, but as he bent towards me, my lids stated fluttering and I closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to meet mine.
But it didn't happen. I opened my eyes and saw Dave still looking at me.
'You kiss me,' he said.
I moved closer and joined my lips to his. I tried to deepen the kiss by rubbing them against his. After a few seconds I pulled away and looking at him, I saw that he was smiling.
'What?'
'What kind of kiss is that?'
'I don't know.'Let me show you how to French kiss.'
He pulled me closer again, not giving me time to react. This time, I could feel his tongue at the rim of my lips, caressing them until I opened my mouth. He then slid his tongue gently in and touched my tongue with his. I felt a jolt of heat directly to my privates. After a few seconds he moved away, leaving me breathless. He leaned his forehead against mine, sighing.
'You're a good student.'
'I've got a great teacher,' I said shyly.
Dave leaned back on the bench and held my left hand in his right hand. With his thumb he kept caressing my knuckles, generating more warmth in my body.
'You've started working on your presentation?'
He changed topic so suddenly that it took me a few seconds to react.
'Not yet, I'm not getting enough material.'
'Have you tried looking in the old library.'
'No.'
'Tomorrow, I'm coming to have a look after class. Wanna come?'
'Sure.'
We finally left after about ten minutes. It had been a wonderful moment.
