Petaled Dragon - 004

Lou and the Horned Rabbit, which she named Reiko, which means "beautiful child" in Japanese. She thought it was befitting of the small, adorable bundle of fluff. She watched as it lay on the ground, panting.

She felt sorry that she didn't have any water other than the forever-flowing-waterfall in the animal farm. She also felt thirsty, so they returned to the farm together and knelt beside the lake. Reiko drank straight from it while Lou used her hands to cup the water.

The water seemed to purify anything that it touched and it seemed to be crystal clear. Lou remembered that she had brought a canteen and decided to fill it.

"Host water canteen detected. Applying waterfall's affects to the canteen... Canteen can now hold an infinite amount of Crystal Water."

Lou was stunned at this. She didn't expect this to happen. She heard the voice but decided that she shouldn't question it, after all, it gave her another life, did it not? She had still been slightly conscious when the voice spoke for the first time. She mainly just happened to catch the voice on accident.

Regardless, she now had a heavenly supply of water. She saw that Reiko's sweat was now disappearing as Reiko looked healthier than ever. She drank straight from the canteen, and, indeed, she felt refreshed.

The two of them then found themselves back on the refined dirt path. They continued onward once more.

. . .

Lou could see the village in the distance. She looked over at Reiko worriedly. Then, the next moment, she retrieved a handkerchief from her sleeve. She poured some of the water from her canteen onto it, thoroughly wetting it. She rung out as much water as she could before using Clean.

Then she tied the clean handkerchief around Reiko's neck. It looked quite adorable around him. Lou thought it would suffice for now and headed towards the in-view village.

They reached it and "Lou" passed the guards her identity card. They did a quick glance before handing it back, letting her through.

Lou noticed that some of the guards were eyeing her, but she didn't particularly care. She did have the memory left by her late husband which had died thirty years before, 'I can take care of myself without a lover, I did it for thirty years, you know?'

She did admit that it made her feel lonely, but she had gotten use to it. She didn't give them any mind as she walked in with Reiko. Reiko jumped into her arms, careful to not poke her eyes out with his two horns. He had seen the people within that were moving about and decided that today was not the day to be trampled.

Lou didn't mind as she pet his head, Reiko accepting it. Lou walked towards an inn. It cost two copper credits a meal and a single silver credit for a night. She put down two sliver credits and decided that she will pay when she eats.

After securing a room in the inn, she left and decided that she will go to the cultivator's association. Normal people wouldn't have access to it unless they have cultivated to the first rank. However, as this Vi Lin's body was of previous noble lineage, she had to cultivate to the second rank.

However, she was stopped when she heard, "Petaled Dragon has hatched. Move to place out of view and access the animal farm quickly and unseen."

She didn't miss a beat as she changed her steps from her predetermined destination to that of an alley. She quickly went into the farm and saw that the batch of petals had parted way for a small, mewling creature.
