Chapter 6

Friday was great, although tiring but still it had a weekend vibe to it. This Friday however gave a different feeling to different people. Yu Zhao stood behind the thick glass looking through the heavy rain pouring. The whole Shanghai looked depressing when looked from his point of view but then there was a ray of light coming from within the depressed dark clouds. On the other hand Xiu Zheng, for someone who loves rain was too hateful towards it.

"Xiu Zheng!" Mandy Liu waved at Xiu Zheng, with a bright smile flashing across her face. About Mandy liu, she's from HR department and loves pink colour, does not have a boyfriend but aspires to have one someday. She loves food especially hotpot and adores Xiu Zheng's personality.

"Hey." Xiu Zheng smiled weakly.

"What's wrong? How could someone be so gloomy on such a wonderful day?" Mandy Liu asked her.

"Miss Song is on leave. So all the burdens on me and my ankle hurts because of those heels that I wore yesterday." Xiu Zheng said while referring to her ankle.

"I heard about Miss Song. It must be so hard for her since her mother passed away."

"Yes it is. To be honest I wish for her to come back soon." Xiu Zheng while taking a sip of her black coffee.

"People who drink bitter things often become bitter about life." Ming Jie came out from the pantry with a indistinguishable smirk on her face while making both Xiu Zheng and Mandy liu jerk their heads towards her. "Don't you think Miss Zheng?" She sat beside Xiu Zheng.

"Too much sweetness can give you diabetes therefore you need bitterness to create an equilibrium." Xiu Zheng smiled.

Ming Jie laughed. "Witty as always. I often thought as to why people like you so much Miss Zheng well no wonder, it's your witty humour keeps them entertained."

"Your most welcome Miss Ming. Now if you will excuse me, I need to get back to work." Xiu Zheng kept her mug and left with Mandy Liu following her.

"What was that? Is there some issue between you and Ming Jie? You know she's the new Advertising executive of Pengxi." Mandy Liu fired Xiu Zheng with questions.

"From my side there isn't anything. I don't know about her though." She replied before going back to her cabin.

At 6 in the evening everyone at a significant position had assembled in the meeting hall. Everyone was anxiously waiting for what Yu Zhao had to say to them. Yu Zhao entered with Lei Min following him. All the eyes were on his swift movements. He motioned Lei Min to switch off the lights and the bright light of the projectors screen flashed across his handsome face.

"I'm sorry for calling you all here on such a short notice. But I couldn't hold back on the idea I had just a moment ago. I did not want to come here unprepared so I have prepared a presentation which will give you a visual of my idea." He began subtly explaining with each slide from the beginning.

"Today when I was in my office I thought that the drones that we've produced could include a feature that could make them unique as well safe for people. Most of the drones often malfunction in the rain and it has lead to accidents across the city. Many restaurants stopped purchasing drones because of this. That's when I thought of this feature. I've not come up with a name yet but this feature will be in the form of chip which will be installed in all of our drones. It has motion sensor which will still work even if the drone malfunctions and will stop the drone when someone motion it to stop. This feature also allows the drone to activate the smart shield which will protect the main system from getting affected by the rain water."

Everyone just looked at Yu Zhao with their mouth agape. "So what do you all say?" Yu Zhao raised his brows.

"I say let's do this!" Jeremy Wu the production head gave a thumbs up to Yu Zhaos idea and everyone supported Yu Zhao in unison.

"Alright then. For now I'd like to have a word with Jeremy and the team and I'll get back to others in sometime." Everyone left while Yu Zhao was in a serious conversation with the production department. After the purchasing and the account department, Yu Zhao conversed with other departments as well as to how he expected them to work on his idea.

"Xiu Zheng." Yu Zhao signalled for her to stop. "I know it's a lot to take in since Miss Song is unavailable at the moment but I believe you will be able to do it. You do have a whole team at your service but if incase you need help then Jie, I mean Ming Jie can help you." He said referring towards Ming Jie who was smiling at Yu Zhao.

"Thank you." Xiu Zheng said in a soft tone.

"And Xiu Zheng." And again he stopped her.

"How is your ankle?" Xiu Zheng looked at him in confusion, it seemed as if she had forgotten that she was hurt. "Your ankle is okay right?" He asked again.

"Yeah. Um yeah it's okay." She said face palming herself. Yu Zhao couldn't help but smile. He nodded and left.

"Who was that?" Yu Huan nudged him.

"When did you arrive?" Yu Zhao asked.

"Just a while ago when you were smiling like an idiot." She chuckled.

"I wasn't smiling like that." He rolled his eyes at his sisters exaggeration.

"But you were smiling." She started pulling Yu Zhao's leg with Xiu Zheng.

"No comments sis. I've gotta go." Yu pulled his coat off the hook and left. In the end no one could save him from his sisters constant teasing except from his mother.
