Hugh answered Sandra's question, "As the name implies, it's modified. They have different equipment and abilities from the three main series of Mechs. Therion's Mech is part of the Knight Mech series, the Guardian Knight Mech".
Leo enthusiastically asked, "What are all the other series of Mechs?".
Hugh answered, "There are three main series. The first is the Knight series the second is the Magician or rather the Mage series, and the third one is the Gunner series".
Hugh continued, "The Knight series consists of Mechs that have fast thrusters and strong mobility, there are four Mechs in this series. The Guardian Knight is the first one which is supposed to have a sword and shield, and if you look at the one in front of us it's really different. This one here has an MP5 based gun, the shield is slightly bigger than usual, and it's thrusters are far stronger. Still it is only as fast as normal Guardian Knights as it got slower, the reason?".
Hugh casually pointed at the shield, "It's the oversized shield over there".
Hugh continued explaining all about Mechs, and Leo felt that the world was truly vast. After Hugh finished telling everyone important information Therion spoke, "Now then, which Mechs do you want to get? I shall remind you that depending on your choices we will either win or lose the tournament".
Fred heard Therion and said, "Speaking of the tournament where are the other members?".
Therion wanted to say something, but he couldn't do it and so he just sat in a corner.
Nearly everyone was astonished and was about to ask why, but Hugh was faster than them and said, "Well they already graduated"
Leo excitedly asked Hugh, "Does that mean we get to participate in the tournament?".
Hugh answered, "Well yes, considering the fact that we have exactly five people in our club we can join".
Fred spoke, "So can we choose our mech now".
"Right let's start with Fred then, which mech do you want?", said Therion.
Fred asked, "From which series does Hugh's mech come from?".
"It's from the Mage series, the Court Mage", said Hugh.
Fred spoke, "So we have a supporter, and a tanker. All we need now is the all-rounder, the Gunner, and the main attacker. I'll be the Gunner then, so I'll choose a mid-range Gunner".
Leo excitedly asked, "Can I have a modified a modified Red Knight, one with an Energy blaster that can rapid fire".
Therion heard him and smiled, "That's a good idea, how about you then Ale...".
Sandra cut Therion's words and said, "I'd like to have a modified Blademaster, with double two-handed swords".
Therion heard her and was stupefied, "Why two-handed swords?".
Sandra answered, "Normal one-handed swords are too light for me".
Therion's eyebrows twitched, as the words 'too light' echoed in his mind.
Fred and Leo heard her, they didn't think it was a bad idea. They themselves saw how strong Sandra was. Hugh on the other hand asked her a question, "Two-handed swords use more energy than one handed sword you know, if you run out of World Energy in battle your as good as out".
"Don't worry, my World Energy is purer than most people so I'll last longer".
"Well that is true, okay I won't doubt your request anymore", said Hugh.
Therion spoke, "Okay your mechs will arrive tomorrow, so you guys will have to practice with these". He pointed at three small mechs, behind the one with an oversized shield.
The mechs were about 14 feet tall, while Therion's mech was more than double that size.
Therion continued, "Those are called training mechs, they can't do much, but it's better than nothing".
Fred asked, "What can we practice by using them?".
Therion further explained, "You can learn how it feels to control a mech and also learn about the energy consumption".
Leo pondered about the nearly useless mechs, 'They make it sound useless, with this I'll be able to check how it's like to use martial arts while on a mech'.
"Can we try them now?", asked Leo.
"Yes Leo, go and test them out", answered Hugh.
Leo stood in front of the mech, unlike a normal one this did not have a head. It was as if it couldn't even be compared with a Mech, it was more like a suit of armor. When he wore it, Leo felt like there was nothing hindering his movements.
Leo punched the air and was surprised to see that his World Energy lost about 5%. Leo tried punching again, but this time he used World Energy to increase the strength of the Mech. This time he lost 10% more of his World Energy, he tried the thrusters and noticed that it used around 2% of his World Energy every minute.
Leo noticed a huge problem and he couldn't help but utter, "What the hell, I won't even last three minutes with this".
Hugh heard him and suggested, "It'd be best if you were to increase your cultivation level, by at least five more before the tournament".
Fred heard him and he could only think that it was impossible, he took months to get to the second level. Sandra on the other hand encouraged Leo, "You can do it Leo!".
