Town's Mine

The path going there was good as it was always use by town's men which was constructed to be use daily. It was surrounded by forest although it was located inside the forest there were no soul beast around it. The cave opening was Large there were stone marking around it and some little houses built beside its entrance it was usually use by guard or mine protectors.

There was also a big store house beside the little houses it was about a hundred by two hundred meter dimension it was not tall because wooden floor usually are no good in long term use for storing heavy metals. But it was wide enough to store dozen of tons of metals. It was not always full because every week miners are transporting their goods to town.

As the father and son pass in the entrance there are few guard and miners along the way. Almost all of them bow in respect to Xīn Qiángdà. As a chief miner he was having a high status in here. When they were about to enter the mine Xīn Lei felt a little bit spark in his heart. It was a feeling of a sense of familiarity like a mother feelings to her son.

He was thinking hardly why he would feel it even though he was never been even near the mine so why does it feel like this. The cave ceiling was supported by large timbers some of it is replaced already because of the accident a few months ago. There were no lamps but there were strange crystal that was just about a meter from each other along the path.

It was a large cave but it looks like it was not dark inside. The crystals were emitting a radiant light but if you look closer to these crystals there were multiple lightning sparks within it. If you concentrate your senses to it, it was like releasing an explosive aura just like a wild lightning.

Xīn Lei look to his father with a doubtful look "father is this crystal's the Thunder God's Crystal?"

Xīn Qiángdà was showing a proud look to his son "you really are like your father son. As intelligent as I am. Yes that is a Thunder God's Crystal we replaced the former lamps in this mine. It was a wiser choice than lamp in illuminating. Also it will also remove the risks of burning our timber columns."

Lei sharply observe the surrounding as he followed his father deeper inside the mine. A few minute of walk his father found a colleague and was immersed in deep conversation with the man. Lei patiently waited but after several minutes he started to roam around the mine.

From the beginning he was always close to his father until he was focused in feeling these rare crystals a minute later he found a chunk of crystal which leading to a greater group of crystals.

As he roam around he found a large space of the mine there was a very big volume of Thunder God's Crystal like stalagmites and stalactites some of it were group together like a big pile of sharp stones bounded together. Even the walls and ceiling have group of it.

By looking in the whole picture it was like a glowing room of crystal treasure a feeling like in a center of a starry night sky. Here Lei felt a greater sense of familiarity if one piece of crystal felt like bringing a pleasant feeling, here he felt a nurturing energy infiltrating his pores going inside his body.

He felt regenerated and vigorous so does he carelessly walk deeper. In a blink of an eye Xīn Lei fall in a hole as he walk it was quick fall that before he realize he was already in an underground cave. He was surrounded by thunder god's Crystal even the floor was pure crystal it given him a feeling of being soak in a warm and cozy water.

Here it seems like an enchanted place but the whole place was filled with active lightning which was inside the crystals it looks like a snake slithering but in a very fast pacing.

But what attracted his eyes was that in a corner there was a crystallize black bird. It was not small but also not big. Its size was about foot and two inches the body was slender but the temperament was strong and imposing. The beak was black but there seems to be a lightning heading to its head that reaches the eyes from the point of its beak. The claws were very sharp and the edges were shining like there was a static light.

As his curiosity drives him he touched the enclosing crystal of the bird. There was a reactive force the pull his hands at it get close the crystal and by the time he realize it his palm was already in touch with the crystallized bird. The bird shone and it change shape into lightning then penetrated in the hand of Xīn Lei.

He only felt like there was a nurturing fluid that runs from his hand to his chest before he even remove his hands, his chest release a blinding light. "ahhhhhh!!" the electric charge doesn't make him shout but it was the explosive force his chest released. His body was bathed with lightning, all around him shows a strong electric current revolving around his body especially to his hands.
